A method for providing lighting to a boat surface comprising providing an LED light source in a transparent disk and placing the disk on the boat surface in a location where the seat pedestal is to be mounted with the disk fastener openings aligned with the boat surface openings. The method includes connecting a power source to the light source, placing the seat pedestal on the transparent disk with the seat pedestal fastener openings aligned with the disk fastener openings and inserting the at least one fastener through the seat pedestal openings, disk openings and boat surface openings. The fastener secures the seat pedestal and disk to the boat surface wherein the transparent disk bears the weight of the seat pedestal. Upon providing power to the light source, light travels from the light source to the circumferential edge of the transparent disk, illuminating the area adjacent the seat pedestal.

ACCENT LIGHT ASSEMBLY

A lighted post cap assembly includes a base member with a generally square shape, a floor, and a plurality of perimeter side walls. The base member is configured to receive an upper end of a post and the floor defines at least four alignment guides and at least four rectangular shaped through holes. Each alignment guide and each rectangular shaped through hole is disposed proximate a respective perimeter side wall. A plurality of light sources are contained within a housing, and each light source is configured to be received by a respective alignment guide at a respective rectangular shaped through hole and oriented downward to illuminate a perimeter of the post. A cover has perimeter side walls and a roof and is secured to the base member such that the plurality of light sources contained between the base member and the cover.

A spotlight apparatus is provided have an illumination element rotationally and pivotally mounted to a pedestal. A vertical control motor urges the illumination housing up and down. A lateral control motor urges the illumination element left or right. A joystick input provides manual directional control of the vertical motor and lateral motor. A MEMS gyroscope or similar microelectronic controller provides an automated control input that, when activated, provides a continuous control signal for providing vertical and lateral motor control based upon a target set point selected by the user.

An encapsulated LED switch that incorporates a MOSFET power drivers, high current transistors, or other suitable power drivers in a PCB that attaches to the LED switch such that a low power LED switch controls the output of a high-power driver. The selected power driver PCB can be adapted to different load requirements by making simple changes. The PCB's can be interchanged to provide for a predetermined output power required for a particular application. In addition, the wire gauge size of the wires attached to the MOSFET power driver PCB can also be varied to match intended load requirements. For applications in which the LED switch is used in hostile environments, such as marine applications, the LED switch and its associated power driver PCB are encapsulated to protect the circuitry from environmental factors such as high humidity, salt water, etc.

The task lighting apparatus uses LEDs and has multiple, independently dimmable wash and spot light modes. The task lighting apparatus has a fully adjustable and balanced arm that allows the light head of the apparatus to be adjusted to a variety of positions while maintaining the light head's horizontal orientation to ensure light emitted from the light head is only emitted in a vertical downward direction.

Light fixture with internally-loaded multilayer stack for pressure transfer

Submersible lights including housings and a multilayer stack for pressure transfer are disclosed. A transparent pressure-bearing window, a window support structure, a circuit element populated with LEDs, and a pressure support structure may be mounted inside the housing. The support structure may be structured to bear at least some of the pressure applied to the transparent window from external pressure sources. The support structures may also be adapted to transfer thermal energy to an exterior environment such as sea water.

A lighting apparatus includes a housing with a front surface member that has a rectangular opening. A light refracting member is installed within the rectangular opening, and the light refracting member includes a flat front face that is mounted substantially flush with the front surface member of the housing. A lighting source is installed within the housing and is configured to emit light towards the light refracting member. The lighting source includes a support body with an aperture within which one or more light emitters are installed. The light refracting member also includes a rear face that is defined by a convex lens structure that rearwardly extends into the aperture of the support body and extends longitudinally parallel to a longer dimension of the rectangular opening.
