An airport runway light for use as a runway approach light for a runway lighting system, the runway light having a light body with a base configured to support the runway light in a light socket of a runway lighting system, the base having an electrical connection to electrically connect the runway light to the runway lighting system, the light further including one or more output windows wherein the runway light has a high-efficiency infrared source and one or more infrared reflectors to direct the infrared source outwardly through the one or more output windows, the infrared source including a silicon nitride element wherein the infrared source produces virtually no detectable visible light and with much less power consumption.

The light emitting portion fixing plate 12 is supported by the pair of attachment arms 11 such that an angle of the aircraft landing guidance flashing light is at a predetermined angle in a state where the aircraft landing guidance flashing light is fixed to the light emitting portion fixing plate.

Methods, devices, and systems for airfield luminaire vibration monitoring are described herein. In some examples, one or more embodiments include a computing device comprising a memory and a processor to execute instructions stored in the memory to receive a vibration signal from a sensor on an airfield luminaire, compare the vibration signal from the sensor to a vibration profile for the airfield luminaire, and determine a status of a bolt of the airfield luminaire based on the comparison.

The light distribution unit is disposed on a light emitting side of the LED module 11. The LED module 11 and the light distribution unit are disposed in the casing 14. The light transmissive cover 15 is disposed over the opening of the casing 14. The LED module 11 is disposed in the casing 14 to be distanced from the casing 14. The heat transfer unit 12 is disposed such that heat of the LED module 11 can be dissipated into the casing 14.

The cylindrical body (10) can be embedded in a runway, the ceiling member (11) is placed in an upper opening of the cylindrical body (10) in a state of being able to be exposed to a runway surface when the cylindrical body (10) is embedded in the runway, the ceiling member (11) is provided with a flash emission window, the light guide member (12) is placed in the flash emission window, the LED flash light source (13) is placed inside the cylindrical body (10) in a state of capable of emitting flash toward the light guide member (12) placed in the flash emission window, the light guide member (12) allows flash emitted from the LED flash light source (13) to be emitted to an outside from the flash emission window, the bottom cover member (16) is placed in a state of capable of closing the lower opening of the cylindrical body (10), and the bottom cover member (16) is provided with, on an outer surface thereof on a side opposite to the cylindrical body (10), a support portion (17) protruding from the outer surface.
