Lighted stanchion base for a marine vessel
A method for providing lighting to a boat surface comprising providing an LED light source in a transparent disk and placing the disk on the boat surface in a location where the seat pedestal is to be mounted with the disk fastener openings aligned with the boat surface openings. The method includes connecting a power source to the light source, placing the seat pedestal on the transparent disk with the seat pedestal fastener openings aligned with the disk fastener openings and inserting the at least one fastener through the seat pedestal openings, disk openings and boat surface openings. The fastener secures the seat pedestal and disk to the boat surface wherein the transparent disk bears the weight of the seat pedestal. Upon providing power to the light source, light travels from the light source to the circumferential edge of the transparent disk, illuminating the area adjacent the seat pedestal.

FURNISHING COMPONENT FOR RECREATIONAL VEHICLES
The furnishing component for recreational vehicles comprising: a fixed portion associated with a recreational vehicle and defining a space of use; and a movable portion associated with the fixed portion in a variable manner between an opening position in which the movable portion is at least partially moved away from the fixed portion to allow the access to the space of use, and a closing position in which the movable portion is moved close to the fixed portion to prevent the access to the space of use; at least one emitter element of a luminous flux associated with the fixed portion; and at least one diffusing element associated with the movable portion and at least partially exposed to the luminous flux for its diffusion in the environment.
LIGHTING MODULE ASSEMBLY AND METHOD OF USE
A lighting module assembly, including a module base and module cover housing a light source, and having latches sized and spaced so as to mate with the channels of the module base, each latch having a latch tab at a distal end of the latch. A locking unit connects the module cover and the module base together. The locking unit is formed of a springy material and includes two locking bodies and a ramped tang extending from the bottom of the locking body, and a pair of latch members, one mounted on each side of the ramped tang. The module cover includes a reflector portion for receiving light from the light source. The assembly may be provided with a tool with a plurality of prongs, connected by a handle and which, when inserted, engage the ramped tang and move the latches, to release the lighting module from the support base.
Lighted boat accessories
A method for providing lighting to a boat surface comprising providing an LED light source in a transparent disk and placing the disk on the boat surface in a location where the boat accessory is to be mounted with the disk fastener openings aligned with the boat surface openings. The method includes connecting a power source to the light source, placing the boat accessory on the transparent disk with the boat accessory fastener openings aligned with the disk fastener openings and inserting the at least one fastener through the boat accessory openings, disk openings and boat surface openings. The fastener secures the boat accessory and disk to the boat surface wherein the transparent disk bears the weight of the boating accessory. Upon providing power to the light source, light travels from the light source to the circumferential edge of the transparent disk, illuminating the area adjacent the boating accessory.
HANDRAIL INSTALLATION WITH EMERGENCY LIGHTING
A handrail installation with emergency lighting for tunnels, comprising a handrail, a closed cable duct, at least one flat cable that is installed along the closed cable duct, and multiple branching boxes for contacting the flat cable without stripping of insulation. The branching boxes contact the flat cable within the closed cable duct. The handrail and the cable duct rest on support surfaces, which are different from one another, on the top side of multiple support members, and the handrail is provided separately from the closed cable duct and the support members, the cable duct is provided separately from the support members, and the handrail is situated above the closed cable duct. The emergency lighting includes multiple lamps situated in succession, which are placed at the branching boxes and are supplied with power by same. The lamps are passed through superposed installation openings in the floor of the cable duct, in the direction of the tunnel floor, so that the lamps radiate into an area below the closed cable duct. The closed cable duct and the support members are made of fireproof metal, and the flat cable as well as the branching boxes have a fireproof design.
MOTOR VEHICLE LOCKING MECHANISM
A method for controlling a motor vehicle locking mechanism and to a motor vehicle locking mechanism, in particular a motor vehicle door lock, comprising a control unit, at least one electric drive that can be controlled by the control unit, and at least one illuminant that can be associated with the locking mechanism, the illuminant being controllable in accordance with a status of the locking mechanism and/or of a vehicle component accommodating the locking mechanism, said status being detectable by the control unit, the illuminant being integrated into a switching circuit of the electric drive.
