Outdoor Christmas Lights Pocket
A long cover, having a top edge and a bottom edge, wherein the top edge is mounted to the soffit or fascia boards of the roof of a house or other structure, and the cover hangs down behind a string of lights and can be folded to form a pocket to store the lights when not in use.
System of Interconnecting Illumination Units
A system of interconnecting illumination units that are arranged to form an illuminating pattern, message, slogan, advertisement, etc. is provided. The system of interconnectable illumination units includes at least one interconnectable unit. The at least one interconnectable unit includes a unit body, at least one first channel, at least one second channel, and at least one light-generating device. The unit body may be any type of building material such as, but not limited to, a block, brick, or tile. The at least one first channel is an area within the unit body that receives and stores the at least one light-generating device. The at least one second channel is used to allow passage of light from the at least one light-generating device. The at least one light-generating device is main source of light energy which allows the system of interconnectable units to display an illuminating pattern, message, slogan, advertisement, etc.
Apparatus for hanging holiday lights or ornaments safely without using a ladder
A method and apparatus for safely hanging holiday lights/ornaments on buildings, which comprises supports, hooks, and a hanger. The support is typically a ferromagnetic or weak magnet core in a male or female fashion and a screw-hole to attach to eaves, other parts of a building, or another cross support. The hanger is attached to a paint stick or broom handle, has an orientated strong or electro, magnet in a male or female shape matching against the hook. The hook, directly or indirectly, connects to holiday lights, ornament, etc, has a weak orientated magnet, along with opposing sides designed to connect to both the support and the hanger. Assuming a string of holiday lights, the first hook is attached manually to the hanger and the hook is then attached to the first support. While the string will dangle down with hooks interspersed, the hanger can magnetically grab the next hook, and then be used to attach that hook to the next support.
Mounting apparatus for light socket
A mounting apparatus for a light socket assembly comprises an extension body connectable with the light socket assembly. The extension body defines a first arcuate surface extending from the extension body. A clamping assembly has a second arcuate surface extending from the clamping assembly. The first arcuate surface and the second arcuate surface are each contoured to conform with and to pivotally contact each other, at least in part, with sufficient friction that the extension body and the clamping assembly are selectively positionable and pivotally movable relative to each other in response to intentional repositioning of the extension body and the clamping assembly relative to each other. The apparatus thus provides for mounting of a light socket assembly on a wide variety of environmental items, such as, for example, trees, eavestroughs and the like, and is particularly useful for mounting a string of wired festive lights, such as Christmas lights.
Expandable Bulb-Holding Clip
A decorative removable lighting enclosed clip made for mounting a light to a support surface such as gutters, shingles or a building structure is disclosed. The clip may include an expandable bulb holder adapted to permit passage of a bulb that is larger than the resting diameter of the bulb holder. In some embodiments, the clip includes a slot that bisects a portion of the clip into sections that can flex away from each other, which enables the bulb holder to expand when subjected to a force. As a result, the clip may be installed with a decorative light strand without having to remove the bulbs from their sockets.
LOUVERED PATIO COVER
This disclosure relates to a louvered patio cover. The louvered patio cover may comprise a frame with support beams, louvered panels, support beam couplers, an actuator, a gutter, and/or other components. The support beams may have angled ends. The louvered panels may be rotatably coupled to the support beams. A support beam coupler may comprise first and second receivers. The first receiver may be configured to receive an angled end of a first support beam, and the second receiver may be configured to receive an angled end of a second support beam. The angled ends of the first and second support beams may face, meet, and/or abut each other when received by the first and second receivers. The actuator may be configured to rotate the louvered panels. A gutter may comprise a lighting channel configured to hold a light source for lighting an area under the louvered patio cover.
Lighting system and method of installing
A lighting system includes a first elongate channel configured for mounting to a structure, a second elongate channel configured for being temporarily coupled to the first elongate channel and forming a substantially enclosed elongate space between the first and second elongate channels. A plurality of LED lights, each having a housing, at least one LED, an integrated circuit within the housing and a dome shaped lens, coupled to the second elongate channel with each of the dome shaped lenses exposed through the second elongate channel. A controller is electrically connected to a plurality of segments of wire to communicate with each of the plurality of integrated circuits and has a plurality of programmable functions, each function providing at least one of a desired light color for each of the plurality of led lights, duration of illumination and timing of illumination.
Bulb gripper for holding decorative lights
A bulb gripper for decorative light holder has a U-shaped body with projections on the interior surface that enable the bulb gripper to securely hold many different sizes of decorative light bulbs. The interior surface of each arm of the body has an inward tooth near the opening followed by several three spaced apart projections. The projections may have a tab portion which is connected to the arm by a narrower connector. The projections and the teeth on the arms form a ledge which supports the decorative light. A smaller U-shaped projection or several projections which are sized and configured to hold a mini-light are provided at the base of the U-shaped body. The arms can flex outward so that the body can receive and securely hold the decorative light.
Architectural light fixture
The invention relates, inter alia, to a light fixture (10) for illuminating building surfaces (44) or partial building surfaces, in particular a spotlight (11), comprising an in particular cylindrical housing (13) in which at least one LED (14), a collimator (15) and a singular lens element (16) formed as a scattering lens, are arranged, wherein the outside diameter (17) of the lens element extends as far as an inner peripheral surface (18) of the housing (13), wherein the lens element comprises a concavely curved light entry surface (19) and a planar or slightly convexly curved light exit surface (20).
Architectural Lighting Methods and Apparatus
An enclosed lighting unit for use with light strips is provided to enable installation of architectural lighting. The lighting unit has cooperating base and cover which are assembled by hand. The unit encloses a channel supporting the light strips which maintain a clearance distance between the light sources and the cover.
