Curtain-configured light strings
Apparatus and associated methods relate to a curtain configured decorative lighting system. The curtain configuration of decorative light stings is obtained by using light-string distribution elements, each of which receives an input signal by a conductive lead. The input signal is indicative of a plurality of lighting commands. The light-string distribution element then provides an output signal to a tap connector, to which a decorative light string can be connected. The provided output signal is indicative of lighting commands corresponding to a plurality of lighting elements distributed along the decorative light string connected thereto. The plurality of lighting elements of the attached decorative light string each illuminate in response to one of the lighting commands indicated by the output signal. In some embodiments, the decorative light string provides to the tap connector a signal indicative of lighting commands that do not correspond to lighting elements of that decorative light string.
CURTAIN-CONFIGURED LIGHT STRINGS

Architectural Lighting Methods and Apparatus
An enclosed lighting unit for use with light strips is provided to enable installation of architectural lighting. The lighting unit has cooperating base and cover which are assembled by hand. The unit encloses a channel supporting the light strips which maintain a clearance distance between the light sources and the cover.
Enclosed Gutter Clip
A decorative removable lighting enclosed clip made for mounting a light to a support surface such as gutters, shingles or a building structure. The purpose of this enclosed clip is to allow an esthetically pleasing display of lights with rapid and easy installation and removal of the lighting. This eliminates falling debris from broken clips or clips that fall off the lights during the removal process. A support tab is inserted between the side portions of the structure, at longitudinally spaced intervals along the strip, and are frictionally gripped and retained by the facing side portions of the gutter, shingle or structure. The clips have enclosed end portions which support the light elements of a decorative light string along structure. The enclosed clip is capable of mounting onto a wide variety of gutters, eaves and building structures. The spacing is adjustable and provides a plurality of discrete angular positions.
Decorative Light Retaining Gutter
A device for protecting and retaining a decorative light strand. A gutter has a first channel and a second channel. The second channel is formed at a top edge of a front wall of the first channel. The second channel is inverted relative to the first channel. An outer vertical sidewall of the second channel has a plurality of apertures disposed therein. The second channel is configured to house the strand of a decorative light strand and each aperture is configured to frictionally secure a light bulb of the decorative light strand therein.
Decorative lighting system
The present invention extends to lighting system providing a year round, seasonal decorative lighting solution that is both customizable and essentially permanently installed. A light strand includes a plurality of lighting assemblies containing lighting elements and having posts with exterior attachment mechanisms. The lighting elements emit light through the post such that the light is externally visible. A post of each lighting assembly can be placed through a corresponding hole in a building feature (e.g., a gutter or flashing). In one aspect, the post is self-securing to the building feature. In another aspect, a cap is attached to each post (e.g., screwed or snapped) to secure the lighting assembly to the building feature. A lighting control device can individually address lighting assemblies to control lighting sequences, patterns, colors, hours of operation, etc. of the plurality of lighting assemblies.
LIGHTING SYSTEM AND METHOD OF INSTALLING
A lighting system includes a first elongate channel configured for mounting to a structure, a second elongate channel configured for being temporarily coupled to the first elongate channel and forming a substantially enclosed elongate space between the first and second elongate channels. A plurality of LED lights, each having a housing, at least one LED, an integrated circuit within the housing and a dome shaped lens, coupled to the second elongate channel with each of the dome shaped lenses exposed through the second elongate channel. A controller is electrically connected to a plurality of segments of wire to communicate with each of the plurality of integrated circuits and has a plurality of programmable functions, each function providing at least one of a desired light color for each of the plurality of led lights, duration of illumination and timing of illumination.
BULB GRIPPER FOR HOLDING DECORATIVE LIGHTS
A bulb gripper for decorative light holder has a U-shaped body with projections on the interior surface that enable the bulb gripper to securely hold many different sizes of decorative light bulbs. The interior surface of each arm of the body has an inward tooth near the opening followed by several three spaced apart projections. The projections may have a tab portion which is connected to the arm by a narrower connector. The projections and the teeth on the arms form a ledge which supports the decorative light. When holding a C7, C9, C4, C5, C6, C12 or G28 decorative light this ledge should be in the gap that is formed by the top of the light socket and the portion of the light bulb adjacent the top of the light socket. A smaller U-shaped projection or several projections which are sized and configured to hold a mini-light can be provided at the base of the U-shaped body. The arms can flex outward so that the body can receive and securely hold the decorative light.

An enclosed lighting unit for use with light strips is provided to enable installation of architectural lighting. The lighting unit has cooperating base and cover which are assembled by hand. The unit encloses a channel supporting the light strips which maintain a clearance distance between the light sources and the cover.
Light slide system and method
A light installation system and method is described. The system employs a channel, at least one set of lights, at least one mount, and a wire housing tube. The at least one set of lights are configured to fit partially within the wire housing tube, and extend out of the wire housing tube via a series of exit holes arranged equidistant from one another on the bottom of each wire housing tube. Each of the wire housing tubes is configured to be placed in carefully spaced segments within the channel(s). The channel is configured to be mounted, via the at least one mount, to the gutter or soffit portion of a building structure. The wire housing tube is configured to rapidly and easily slide into the channel when decorating, and be removed from the channel quickly when taking down the at least one set of lights.
