MODULAR LIGHTING ARRAY
A lighting system comprising of a plurality of lights situated on one or more detachably connectable, modular, lighting panels.
Illumination assembly for providing a Christmas tree impression
Illumination assembly for providing a Christmas tree impression, comprising at least two bands which in a set up condition of the illumination assembly, seen in side view of the illumination assembly, bound a triangular area. At least one string of lights extends zigzag in the associated triangular area and is connected via light string fastening elements with the bands. With the aid of band fastening elements and top fastening means, the bands are positioned and kept in a tensed condition relative to a fixed external object, such as a pole, a wall, a door and/or a tree. The illumination assembly is arranged to be brought from a packaged condition to the set up condition and vice versa.
Lighting
Enhancements to ornamental or holiday lighting are disclosed including remote control ornamental illumination with color pallet control whereby a user can vary the color/intensity/appearance of an individual bulb or entire light string by selecting the electronic address of the bulb and selecting its attribute. Further disclosures include: motion responsive lights which respond to sensed movement, gesture controlled lights, adjustable white color/white led sets, connectable multi-function lights, controller to sequence lights to music or other input source, rotating projection led light/tree top/table top unit, and remote controlled sequencing icicle lights and ornament lighting system.
REINFORCED ELECTRIC WIRE AND METHODS OF MAKING THE SAME
Aspects of the present invention relate to reinforced electric wires, particularly reinforced electric wires as used in holiday lighting such as Christmas light strings. In some embodiments, the reinforced electric wire can comprise a conductor, a reinforcing string or one or more reinforcing threads, and an insulator jacket. In some embodiments, the conductor comprises a plurality of conductor strands and one or more reinforcing strands arranged within an insulator jacket. Methods of making wires in accordance with various embodiments are also provided herein.
Modular light-string system having independently addressable lighting elements
Apparatus and associated methods relate to modular series-connectable LED light strings having an input connector and an output connector for electrically communicating power and a control signal, an input control signal being actively level-shifted to a level suitable to a first lighting element of the LED light string. In an illustrative embodiment, the LED light string may have a plurality of series connected lighting elements that generate a series of intermediate supply voltage levels. In some embodiments, the active level shifter may bias the input control signal between an DC voltage level applied to a positive supply pin of the first lighting element and the intermediate supply voltage level generated at the connection of a negative supply pin of the first lighting element and the positive supply pin of the second lighting element. In some embodiments, active level-shifting may advantageously restore the proper bias for a series connected light string.
MOUNTING APPARATUS FOR LIGHT SOCKET
A mounting apparatus for a light socket assembly comprises an extension body connectable with the light socket assembly. The extension body defines a first arcuate surface extending from the extension body. A clamping assembly has a second arcuate surface extending from the clamping assembly. The first arcuate surface and the second arcuate surface are each contoured to conform with and to pivotally contact each other, at least in part, with sufficient friction that the extension body and the clamping assembly are selectively positionable and pivotally movable relative to each other in response to intentional repositioning of the extension body and the clamping assembly relative to each other. The apparatus thus provides for mounting of a light socket assembly on a wide variety of environmental items, such as, for example, trees, eavestroughs and the like, and is particularly useful for mounting a string of wired festive lights, such as Christmas lights.
Reinforced electrical wire and string lamp having reinforced electrical wires
The present invention provides a string lamp including a plurality of lamp bodies connected in series, a plurality of reinforced electrical wires used for connecting two adjacent lamp bodies or connecting the lamp bodies with power connectors; the reinforced electrical wire includes a metal lead wire, a serving enclosing a periphery of the metal lead wire, and a reinforcing device embedded in the serving. A part of the reinforcing device is located in the serving, and the other part of the reinforcing device is exposed at an outside of the serving.
Clip for holding a light bulb parallel to a light string
An inline clip for holding a light bulb along a light string includes a top flat area, two symmetrical sides, and two symmetrical tabs. The flat area has a constant width extending across a side profile and a constant thickness extending from a top surface of the top flat area to an internal surface of the top flat area. The two symmetrical sides extend in a continuous manner at respective upper ends from a left end and a right end of the top flat area, and are arcuate shaped for forming a hollow interior space configured to receive within the light bulb and a portion of the light string aligned side-by-side along a diameter of the light bulb. The two symmetrical tabs extend in a continuous manner at respective connecting ends from the lower ends of the two symmetrical sides.
POWER POLE FOR ARTIFICIAL TREE APPARATUS WITH AXIAL ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS
Disclosed is an artificial tree having a plurality of electrified tree sections that couple together to provide power and/or command signals to devices connected thereto. One or more tree sections may have a trunk portion, one or more electrical connectors having a plurality of terminals, branches, a light string, and an electrical distribution system located at least partially within the trunk portion. A first tree section may be configured to couple to a second tree section such that an electrical connector of the first tree section is in electrical connection with an electrical connector of the second tree section, thereby mechanically and electrically connecting the first tree section to the second tree section such that power and/or the control data are transmitted to the second tree section. Further, each trunk segment may include an axial electrical connector that permits adjacent trunk segments to connect in a plurality of radial orientations relative to each other.
Integrated control device
Disclosed is an integrated compact power supply system that includes a converter for converting AC power to a DC voltage capable of operating individual decorations or displays or portions of decorations or displays. Decorations or displays can be hardwired to the integrated system or wirelessly connected. Both lighting strings or individual LEDs can be controlled separately. Portions of lighting displays can also be controlled.
