Light-up beard
A light-up facial covering which simulates the appearance of a beard including a facial covering member which simulates the appearance of a beard and is configured and dimensioned to overlie at least a portion of a lower half of a face of a wearer. The facial covering also including a member for securing the facial covering to the wearer's head and a plurality of electrically powered lights affixed to the facial covering.
Illuminated Ponytail Holder
A ponytail holder includes a frustoconical base having first and second parts each mutually hinged to move between an open position and a closed position about the ponytail. The bottom edge of the base is at least partially covered with an electrically conductive surface. A frustoconical cover is fixable with the base and includes at least two conductive projections each adapted for a snap fit with the bottom edge of the base to mechanically and electrically secure the cover to the base. A plurality of LEDs fixed with the cover are connected to the battery when the cover is engaged with the base. A controller provides power from the battery to the LEDs in a variety of ways to create a unique lighting effect based on a rotational position of the cover, an ambient sound level, a selected lighting mode, or a wireless command signal.
Wearable tubular light generating item with kinetic generator having a slideable magnetic disposed within tube
Provided are wearable lights or lights that can be attached to accessories when carrying out activities in low-light or no-light conditions. The wearable lights incorporate a portion of non-magnetic material with an internal chamber with a low friction internal surface that is surrounded by a copper coil. A magnet is passed through the internal chamber, allowing the copper coil to break the magnetic fields of the magnet, which creates a burst of electrical current. The current is used to emit light through LED's. Movement of the wearer/user generates the movement of the magnet in the internal chamber, and repelling magnets at the top and bottom of the internal chamber assist the magnet in moving back and forth through the chamber. The inventive device can be adapted for use in many sporting and other applications, such as in running shoes, running belts, rucksacks and as stand-alone wearable lights.
Garment lighting system
A light emitting garment system including a light source and a design. The light source may be positioned relative to the design such that the light source is activatable to produce a visual effect via or through the design.
Selectively illuminated jewelry, and a system and method thereof
A system and method selectively illuminate gems in a piece of jewelry, allowing the jewelry to be transformed into a utilitarian object as well as a decorative object. A person can wear the jewelry ornamentally, as well as use the jewelry like a watch or a touch screen. The jewelry includes a plurality of gems, a plurality of light sources, and a controller. The plurality of gems is arranged in at least one grid. Each of the light sources emits light reachable to a corresponding gem and oriented to illuminate the corresponding gem. The controller is responsive to a received input and is configured to selectively control the plurality of light sources to selectively illuminate the light sources to shine or not shine light on each of the plurality of gems. The light selectively changes an optical property of each gem corresponding to the received input.
Emblem and assembly for wearable clothing
An emblem and assembly is provided for use with a leather garment. The emblem can include a decorative design on its surface. The assembly includes an inner support plate affixable with a section of the leather garment and an emblem base plate. The emblem base plate includes a first side for receiving at least one latching mechanism and a second side for receiving the emblem, wherein the latching mechanism couples with the inner support plate. The emblem base plate can include a hollowed out section on the second side with a circuit board with electrically coupled LED lighting attached thereto. The assembly can include an anchor plate affixable within an interior of the garment. The assembly can include a shoulder harness coupleable with the anchor plate and the inner support plate. The harness and inner support plate can be affixed at different positions along the anchor plate.
Light effect material with metalized layer
A metalized layer can be added between a light effect material and a viewer so that components creating a light material viewing effect are masked by the metalized layer when the light material viewing effect is not activated. The metalized layer, light effect material and or an article of manufacture incorporating them can be designed so that the light material viewing effect, when activated, enhances a visual design (such as artwork). The metalized layer can be incorporated into a self-contained module or be separately incorporated into an article of manufacture.
Illuminated instrument strap
The Illuminated Instrument Strap includes fasteners to removably secure it to an instrument. A light, including a plurality of LEDs capable of generating colors, are operably connected to a control box is disposed along the length of the instrument strap. The control box which could be embedded within the belt includes or attached to it includes a battery which is rechargeable, control switches, a controller that includes a logic that is at least partially stored in a non-transitory computer readable medium. When executed at least in part by the controller the logic causes the light to illuminate in a pre-programmed pattern generated from the logic. Alternatively, the controller is adapted to generate a pattern from an audio input information obtained from a microphone, or from a signal received from a musical instrument, such that illumination of the light is synchronized to the audio input or the musical instrument signal thereby creating a music visualization pattern.
THIN-PROFILE, LIGHT-EMITTING WEARABLE DEVICE
A light-emitting wearable device is provided. The device includes a thin profile light-emitting element having a top and a bottom. The light-emitting element has a first thin layer light emitter and a second thin layer power source electrically coupled to the light emitter. The device further includes a first covering layer over the top of the light-emitting element and a second covering layer over the bottom of the light-emitting element. The light-emitting wearable may be configured as a lens to be worn on the eye or as a fingernail cover.
Wearable Fluorescent Article of Adornment with Ultraviolet Radiation Source of Excitation
A wearable fluorescent article of adornment with ultraviolet radiation source of excitation is described. At least one ultraviolet light emitting source can irradiate a fluorescent material with ultraviolet radiation. The fluorescent material can generate fluorescent light in response to excitation of the fluorescent material with ultraviolet radiation emitted from the at least one ultraviolet light emitting source. The article of adornment can transmit the fluorescent light generated from the fluorescent material while absorbing the ultraviolet radiation. A control unit can control irradiation of the fluorescent material with the at least one ultraviolet light emitting source, while a power supply component can power the at least one ultraviolet light emitting source and/or the control unit.
