A light source arrangement is provided. The light source arrangement may include a plurality of semiconductor laser light sources arranged in such a way that the laser light emitted by the semiconductor laser light sources is aligned in parallel, and a deflection unit configured to collect and influence all beam paths of the laser light emitted by the semiconductor laser light sources so as to form a beam. The deflection unit has a first mirror element with a concavely curved surface, which is embodied to capture and reflect the laser light emitted by the semiconductor laser light sources by the surface. The light source arrangement may further include a second mirror element with a convexly curved surface, which is embodied to capture and focus the laser light reflected by the first mirror element.

Aspects of the present application relate to a bypass switch for a lamp, such as a surgical or diagnostic lamp. When activated, the bypass switch may act to allow electric power to bypass elements of a control board so that the electric power is provided to the plurality of lamp elements.

Sheet light source using laser diode

A sheet light source is described that has a width in a front-to-back “x” direction, a length in a left-to-right “y” direction, and a height in a bottom-to-top “z” direction. The sheet light source includes a bottom conductive surface, a laser diode, a transparent conductive sheet, and an adhesive material portion. The laser diode is mounted on the conductive surface in the “z” direction. The transparent conductive sheet is laminated onto the laser diode and the conductive surface in the “z” direction. The adhesive material portion is located between the conductive sheet and the conductive surface, and binds the transparent conductive sheet to the laser diode and the conductive surface. The adhesive material portion further enables photons, emitted substantially in the “x” direction from the laser diode, to propagate therein to an edge and be output.

ILLUMINATED PROTECTIVE COVERING AND ASSOCIATED METHODS

A system and method of illuminating a foot pedal with an illuminated protective covering. The illuminated protective covering can include a plurality of illuminating devices surrounding at least a majority of a perimeter of the foot pedal. The illuminated protective covering can also include a sheet surrounding the upper surface and the lower surface of the foot pedal and the plurality of illuminating devices, the sheet being configured to protect the foot pedal from debris during use. A friction portion can be attached to the sheet, the friction portion being positioned on the sheet such that the friction portion is adjacent the bottom surface of the foot pedal when the sheet surrounds the foot pedal, the friction portion being configured to prevent sliding of the foot pedal against the floor or other surface.

One or more techniques and/or systems are disclosed for illuminating a target area. Such systems may mitigate shadows and lack of light homogeneity at surgical intervention settings, or any other clinical or otherwise critical human operational confined area that utilize a substantially uniform light flooding. One or more lighting modules can be disposed in a target area, for illumination one or more illumination target locations. An object detection component can detect an object in the target illumination location, and provide data indicative of the detected object to an illumination module adjustment component. Based on the data indicative of the detected object, the illumination module adjustment component can provide data indicative of an illumination adjustment to the first illumination module.

Lamp with flexible circuit board

A lamp is disclosed with a circuit board that is manufactured from a flexible material. The lamp may find particular use in a surgical or diagnostic environment. The flexible material allows the orientation of lamp elements to allow for a custom light beam. The flexible circuit board allows for interconnection between multiple lamp elements at different angles and rotation without having individual rigid circuit boards. Furthermore, the flexible circuit board may be mounted to a back panel, wherein the back panel is configured to act as a heat sink to dissipate heat generated, in operation, by the lamp element.
