Edge lit luminaire
An edge-lit luminaire includes a housing, a lens, a light emitter, a first reflector, and a second reflector. The housing has a central opening that defines a central area. The lens includes a plurality of extraction features substantially evenly distributed over a lens area. The lens is positioned proximate the central opening, and the lens area is larger than the opening area. The light emitter is positioned adjacent the lens and configured to direct light in a direction generally orthogonal with respect to the central opening. The first reflector is positioned proximate a first surface of the lens distal the central opening. The first reflector substantially covers the first surface of the lens. The second reflector is positioned proximate a second surface of the lens opposite the first surface. The second reflector substantially covers the second surface of the lens outside of the central opening.
Driver assembly for a lighting fixture
A driver assembly (200) for a lighting fixture (100) is provided. The driver assembly (200) includes a housing (220) defining a cavity (234). The driver assembly (200) includes a driver circuit (210) disposed within the cavity (234). The driver circuit (210) can be configured to provide power to one or more light emitting diodes (116) of the lighting fixture (100). The driver assembly (200) can include a potting material (237) disposed within the cavity (234). The driver assembly (200) can include a base (260) attached to the housing (220) to enclose the driver circuit (210) and the potting material (237) within the cavity (234).
Signal Lights for a Motor Vehicle Lighting System
The invention relates to a signal light for a motor vehicle that has a fiber optic rod, which has a light emitting surface and a rear surface, in which deflection elements are located, and which has two side walls, and numerous pairs of reflectors and light sources, which are in a row in the rear surface, and which project light bundles through the fiber optic rod, transverse thereto. The fiber optic rod has two rear walls, each of which has deflection element edge and side wall edge, and extends longitudinally between the deflection elements and the side walls. The side wall edges are further apart than the deflection element edges in a cross section of the fiber optic rod that is transverse to the longitudinal direction thereof.
EDGE-LIT BIO-FRIENDLY LIGHTING SYSTEM
A lighting device that provides visible illumination with enhanced emission in the range 460-520 nm with a M/P ratio of XI, where XI is at least 0.7, a correlated color temperature of 4000-14000 K, and an average color rendering index of at least 70.
Light emitting structures
A light emitting structure includes a plurality of structural members forming a framework, wherein the framework has a plurality of spaces between the plurality of structural members; a lighting circuit integrally connected to one or more of the plurality of structural members; and a plurality of light emitting diodes electrically connected to the lighting circuit, wherein the plurality of light emitting diodes are integrally connected to the plurality of structural members via the lighting circuit; wherein the plurality of structural members are constructed to support one or more plants.
Conspicuity Devices
The disclosure provides conspicuity devices and methods. A first embodiment includes a glove with at least one elongate lighting device adapted and configured to admit light having an advantageous spectral energy distribution. Additional articles of clothing are provided herein for enhanced conspicuity, such as for emergency workers and athletes.
Ventilation fan system with advanced chromatherapy controls
According to an aspect of this disclosure, a ventilation and lighting system including a main housing having an inlet opening and a discharge opening, a blower and motor assembly disposed within a housing and operable to move air through the inlet and outlet, a grille configured to be located at the inlet opening, the grille having a cavity and a plate defining a plurality of apertures through which air may move, and one or more lighting elements arranged within the cavity and an optical component covering the cavity. The system is arranged such that light developed by the one or more lighting elements mixes within the cavity and transmits through the optical component covering the cavity, and the system further includes a controller that coordinates operation of the blower and motor assembly and the one or more lighting elements from a remote location.
Diffusive body and illumination device
The diffusive body lets first light enter and emits scattered light, wherein a scattering layer and a transmission layer, the diffusive body has a light incidence surface that lets the first light enter and a main surface where a first light emission surface emitting the scattered light is formed, the light incidence surface is formed at an end face forming a first end part of the main surface, the diffusive body functions as a light guide path that makes the entered first light move to and fro between the scattering layer and the transmission layer, the scattering layer includes an optical medium on a nanometer order and generates the scattered light by having the first light scattered by the optical medium on the nanometer order, and a correlated color temperature of the scattered light is higher than the correlated color temperature of the first light.
Rugged All Purpose Lighting Cube
The disclosure generally relates to generating lighting in an efficient way while in the outdoors. The designs are meant to maximize the amount of light generated, by the smallest assembly that is rugged to use in general outdoor activities and water sports.
