LED lamp
An LED lamp that can take the place of incandescent lamps. An elevated light source is positioned above a screw-type base. A first plurality of LEDs is connected in a series on one side of a flat substrate and a second plurality of LEDs, equal in number to the first, is connected in series on an opposite side of the substrate. Each LED of the first and second plurality of LEDs is mounted proximate a heat sink and a drive circuit is provided for the LEDs, with the drive circuit being located proximate and electrically connected to the screw base.
Retractable lighting fixture
Disclosed is a retractable lighting fixture having a retractable LED lighting layer. One or more optical layers (40, 240A/B, 340A/B, 440) may optionally be provided over the LED lighting layer (30, 230, 330, 430). The optical layer(s) and the LED lighting layer may optionally be movable relative to one another between at least being in an expanded spaced relation to one another and a compressed relation to one another. One or more LEDs (34, 134, 234A/B, 334A/B, 434) on the LED lighting layer may be individually controllable and such LEDs (34, 134, 234A/B, 334A/B, 434) may be selectively extinguished when they are in a retracted position.
LIGHTING DEVICE
A lighting device includes an elongated support member, first and second printed circuit boards, at least one first LED, at least one second LED and at least one lens element. The elongated support member includes first and second sides, the first and second PCBs coupled to the first and second sides of the elongated support member, respectively, the at least one first LED mounted on the first PCB and the at least one second LED mounted on the second PCB, each lens element includes at least one lens, the lens element mounted on the PCB at a location such that each lens substantially surrounds a respective one of the LEDs.
Luminaire
The invention relates to a luminaire (1) having a housing which is closed by a translucent cover (11). The housing accommodates a light source and control gear (6), the light source being formed from a plurality of LEDs (8) arranged on at least one circuit board (9). According to the invention the light from the LEDs (8) is coupled into at least one light guide (7) which extends from the cover (11) towards the LEDs (8). The coupled-in light from the LEDs (8) is guided in the light guide (7) to the cover (11) and is preferably emitted diffusely.
Printed circuit board for a lamp
The invention relates to a printed circuit board (9) for a lamp (1), having a plurality of circuit paths having a multiplicity of light-emitting diodes (8, 12), wherein the light-emitting diodes in a circuit path are each connected up in series with one another and the circuit paths are connected in parallel with one another, wherein a first number of light-emitting diodes (LD11, LD15, LD21, LD25, LD31 LD35, LD41, LD45, LD51, LD55, LD61, LD65) in a circuit path are fitted on a front of the printed circuit board and a second number of light-emitting diodes (LDi11, LDi31, LDi52) in the same circuit path are fitted on a back of the printed circuit board.
A LUMINAIRE AND A METHOD FOR PROVIDING TASK LIGHTING AND DECORATIVE LIGHTING
A luminaire comprises a first lighting module for providing a first lighting effect such as task lighting. The first lighting module has a front light exit face and a support structure with a rear reflective portion. A second lighting module is for providing a second lighting effect such as decorative lighting, directed to the reflective portion of the support structure. The luminaire is capable of producing the two different lighting effects in different directions.
Waterproof, dual-polarity decorative light string
Disclosed is a waterproof LED light string that provides outdoor lighting in a simple and reliable manner. Waterproof bulb assemblies are used with replaceable LED light sources. The bulb assemblies are easily suspended from a rope or wire, screwed to a support, or magnetically supported from a ferrous metal support. Duplicate circuitry in the LED light source allows the LED light source to be connected in either direction.
Solid State Lamp Using Light Emitting Strips
A solid state lamp includes a connector and a bulb portion with multiple strips.
STRUCTURALLY REINFORCED ILLUMINATION PANELS AND A METHOD OF MAKING THE SAME
An illumination panel including an optically transmissive, hollow multiwall structure and an array of LED strips distributed within a series of hollow chambers formed by the multiwall structure. The hollow multiwall structure is formed by two or more sheets of optically clear or translucent material joined by a plurality of transverse ribs. Each LED strip includes an array of interconnected light emitting diodes and is preferably provided with one or more light diffusing or beam-shaping elements included into one or more hollow chambers.
LUMINAIRE
A luminaire is provided. A main surface of a light-guiding panel included in the luminaire includes a reflecting area having a plurality of approximately conical recesses. An angle θ formed by a lateral surface of each of the recesses and the main surface of the light-guiding panel satisfies a condition defined by a distance D from a center position of a light source to a center position of the reflecting area, a distance H from an illumination target surface to the center position of the light source, an angle γ which the light-guiding panel forms with a horizontal plane, a refractive index n of the light-guiding panel, and a surface roughness R.sub.a of the lateral surface of each of the recesses.
