Combination LED lighting and fan apparatus

A combination axial fan and LED lighting system configured to fit into the footprint of a standard ceiling tile. The system includes a housing container and an axial fan. The fan has a fan cavity including air diversion mechanism to direct air from the fan cavity toward the lighting and fan components. The invention includes an airflow surface to direct air existing the fan cavity along an LED light fixture.

The present invention discloses a sector light, said sector light having at least one tier including a light source assembly comprising opaque dividing elements, two or more light sources, and two or more optical lenses; wherein the light source assembly is divided into circumferential sections, each circumferential section being separated by the opaque dividing elements, and each circumferential section containing a light source and an optical lens arranged such that the optical lens collects and outwardly projects the light emitted by the light source.

LED tube apparatus

A light tube apparatus includes a tubular housing, a first light source, a second light source, a driver and a controller. The tubular housing having a first light passing window and a second light passing window. The first light source is for emitting a white light from the first light passing window in an illuminating mode. The second light source is for emitting an ultraviolet light from the second light passing window in a sanitizing mode. The driver is for converting an external power source to a first driving current to the first light source and a second driving current to the second light source. The controller is for determining when to enter the sanitizing mode or the illuminating mode based on a stored criterion.

The flexible body is designed to cover an individual ceiling fan blade. An attaching member is disposed on the flexible body. A fastener encircles the opening. The fastener secures the ceiling fan blade cover to the ceiling fan blade. In one embodiment, the fastener is an elastic band. In another embodiment, the fastener is an adjustable string with a slidable toggle. The lighting element includes a securing member that connects to the attaching member. The securing member secures the lighting element to the flexible body. The lighting element includes a transceiver which is operably connected to a controller. The controller may alter the color, pulsation, and intensity of illumination from the lighting element.

Fiber-optic sheet lighting

Laser light is coupled to optical fibers arranged in a sheet, which may be in the form of netting, mesh or fabric. Scattering centers or bends in the optical fibers allow the coupled light to escape from the sides of the fibers. Depending on the selection of wavelengths for the lasers, the resulting luminous sheet may be used for illumination of crops grown in vertical farms. The laser wavelengths excite plant photopigments for predetermined physiological responses, and the light source intensities may be temporally modulated to maximize photosynthesis and control photomorphogenesis responses. Each laser may be independently controlled, and at least one laser may emit ultraviolet-C radiation. The luminous sheet may be used for purification of air flowing through an air duct.

A bathtub overflow cover, which may be removably affixed to an inner wall of a bathtub, with a dedicated portion of a housing to secure a lighting device below a bathtub waterline, is described herein. The lighting device illuminates bathtub water and produces a bathtub glow. Embodiments described for the present invention comprise a bathtub overflow valve cover, a power source, a housing, which attaches to an inner wall of a bathtub, where the housing provides a watertight seal around a bathtub overflow valve preventing water from escaping a bathtub overflow port, and one or more LED lights. The embodiment may further comprise one or more RGB LED lights with color changing capability. Embodiments may further comprise one or more pushbuttons to adjust one or more integrated features.

An overhead lighting fixture containing both visible light sources and UV light sources is disclosed herein. UV light can sanitize/disinfect the surrounding environment after the environment over a period of about 30-45 minutes. In this way, viruses, germs, bacteria, mold, and the like can be destroyed to clean the air and/or surfaces (e.g., furniture). Accordingly, embodiments of the present invention provide a controllable UV lighting assembly that can produce UV light to sanitize/disinfect an area and can be automatically disabled to prevent UV light exposure to those in the area using a motion sensor. The lighting assembly can produce visible light while the UV light source is disabled. According to some embodiments, the duration of UV light production is controlled by a timer for power savings.
