SEGMENTED CAVITATION BOILER
20210180833 · 2021-06-17 ·

A cavitation boiler segment includes a rotor to be coupled with a rotating inner drum and a stator surrounding the rotor segment. The rotor and the stator each include drums with two banks of annular apertures, which overlap to define two cavitation regions. The rotor includes a web bifurcating the rotor between the apertures into an upstream side and a downstream side, each forming a separate fluid passage between a face of the rotor and a bank of apertures. The stator includes a casing enclosing the stator apertures in a fluid passageway. In operation, fluid flows into a first side of the rotor, across a first cavitation region and into the stator, then back across the second cavitation region and into the second side of the rotor where the fluid may flow into a first side of an adjacent segment.

SYSTEM AND METHOD TO IMPROVE BOILER AND STEAM TURBINE START-UP TIMES

A system for warming a power generation system including a boiler and a mixer fluidly coupled to the boiler, a turbine first section operable to receive steam from the boiler at a first temperature. The turbine supplies steam at a second temperature to a first heat exchanger operably connected to receive the heated steam at the second temperature from the output of at least the first section of the turbine and transfer heat to at least one of water and steam in the boiler or the mixer, feedwater for the boiler, and a thermal energy storage system. The system further includes a control unit configured to receive the monitored operating characteristic and control the amount of steam directed through the turbine.

SYSTEM FOR DECONTAMINATING WATER AND GENERATING WATER VAPOR

A system and method for decontaminating a fluid and recovered vapor, particularly processing and recycling contaminated water, utilizing a vaporizer-desalination unit to separate a contaminated water flow into a contaminated disposal flow and a clean water vapor flow. The contaminated disposal flow may be dried and separated into recovered minerals utilizing heat from the clean water vapor flow to dry the contaminated disposal flow.

Heat from a rotating prime mover(s) driving a fluid shear pump, heat from the prime mover and any exhaust heat generated by the prime mover is collected. The heat energy collected from all of these sources is transmitted through heat exchangers to a fluid where heat energy is desired. This fluid heating process is performed in the absence of an open flame.

SYSTEM FOR DECONTAMINATING WATER AND GENERATING WATER VAPOR

A system and method for decontaminating a fluid and recovered vapor, particularly processing and recycling water used in an oil zone steam process, utilizing a vaporizer-desalination unit to separate a contaminated water flow into a contaminated disposal flow and a clean water vapor flow. The contaminated water flow is recovered after separation from a combined oil and water flow from an oil well. The clean water vapor flow is preferably passed through a steam generator to produce the steam used in the oil zone steam process. The steam is injected into the oil zone of a designated well and then extracted as the combined oil and water flow. Once primed with sufficient external water, the system and method is designed to operate continuously with minimal replenishment because of the water/vapor/steam cycle.
