Weighted walker attachment system
A weighted walker attachment system generally comprises a kit of weighted walker attachments that can be mounted to standard walker or other assistive perambulatory device for use in physical therapy and rehabilitation. A plurality of weighted attachments are provided and adapted to be mounted at a variety of locations on an assistive device. The weight of each attachment can be adjusted, as needed, for example, by adding or removing individual weighted plates mounted on a base plate that itself is removably mounted to the assistive device. In alternate kits, interchangeable weighted attachments can be provided in varying weights, distinguished by optical and/or tactile indicators, and selectively mounted on the assistive device, either as an accessory or in replacing a portion of the device, such as extensions provided on a walker's legs, in accordance with a therapeutic rehabilitation plan for an individual patient.
Standing surface to encourage movement
A shaped standing mat or base providing a trampoline-like rebounding surface that is a highly responsive and dynamic support surface for a standing person where that person is able to maintain a proper stance relative to their foot angle, and to engage in mild exercise movement and foot rotation and stretching without undue interruption of mental concentration in a work or other environment.
ELASTIC BAND APPARATUS
The present invention relates to an elastic band apparatus for assisting a human user in properly aligning body members during exercise, supporting a head of a user when lying down during exercise, and angling at least one elastic band at a predetermined angle. In order to do so, an elastic band apparatus is provided having a platform, at least two handles extending outward from the front surface of the platform and at least one slot arranged through the platform.
Training apparatus for improving control ability of lower limb
The training apparatus according to an embodiment includes: a support unit; a guide unit fixed on the support unit and including rails which extend in a front-rear direction; a sliding unit which is movable in the front-rear direction along the rails of the guide unit; a pillar-shaped rotation axis fixed on the support unit; a footrest unit which supports a user's foot; a lower support formed below the footrest unit; and a connection rotating unit formed below the footrest unit and connected to the rotation axis of the support unit through insertion to allow the footrest unit to rotate around the rotation axis. A plurality of springs installed inward from two sidewalls of the sliding unit is configured to come into contact with the lower support of the footrest unit and apply pressure from two sides when the footrest unit rotates.
Constant force resistance cable retractor
A device and method for exercising that includes a main axle, a cord spool attached to the main axle, a cord wrapped around the cord spool, resistance modules, and a resistance selector. The drum of each resistance module attaches to the main axle. The drum of each resistance module is attached to a spring configured to resist the cord being pulled from the cord spool. The drums of the resistance modules are configured with engagement patterns that allow for the drums of adjacent resistance modules to couple together. The resistance selector determines how many resistance modules are coupled together. The resistance level of the device can be adjusted to the desired resistance level by coupling together the desired number of resistance modules.
VARIABLE RESISTANCE EXERCISE DEVICES
A variable resistance exercise device is provided that comprises a pair of arm bands and a handle tube that has a longitudinal interior bore. The tube has first and second ends and includes a solid metal center shaft fitted through the interior bore thereby exposing respective first and second end portions of the shaft at the respective first and second ends of the tube. The first and second band arm of the pair of bands arms are respectively fitted onto the first and second ends of the shaft. In some instances, the device is part of a kit that includes a base having a bottom face, where the bottom face includes a groove, and one or more elastic bands, each such band configured to removably couple the base to the exercise bar by fitting the into the groove of the base and through the first and second arm bands.
Holding device for using gym equipment
A holding device for using gym equipment for the purpose of muscle building training. The holding device has a handle part and a bracket, and the hand of a person using the holding device can be inserted between the handle part and the bracket. The hand side of the handle part is convexly curved with the exception of local depressions and/or perforations, and parts for releasably securing a dumbbell plate can be releasably secured to the lower face of the handle part. The hand side of the handle part has four groove-shaped depressions which are dimensioned and spaced from one another such when using the holding device as intended with a hand placed on the hand side, each finger is positioned in a respective depression of the groove-shaped depressions with the exception of the thumb.
Swing motion trainer
A swing motion trainer used to simulate one or more sport swing movements includes a rod portion comprising a shaft with a grip. The swing motion trainer includes a resistance portion comprising an interchangeable mechanism at a distal end of the rod portion, the resistance portion includes an interchangeable mechanism at the distal end of the rod portion, wherein the interchangeable mechanism is configured to attach a removable resistance element to the distal end of the rod portion. The removable resistance element that is attachable to the distal end of the rod portion via the interchangeable mechanism. The removable resistance element provides a resistance to a swinging motion of the swing motion trainer.
Resistance-based exercise device
A resistance-based exercise device comprised a bar with a first engagement plate fixed to its first distal end and a second engagement plate fixed to its second distal end. The first and the second engagement plates have one or more openings for detachably engaging one or more resistance bands of varying resistance level by a coupler.
Lower leg and ankle rehabilitation and exerciser
An article of manufacture for providing a lower leg and Achilles tendon exercise device according to the present invention, the exercise device includes a top frame structure having a first plurality of connection hooks about its perimeter, a bottom frame structure oriented in parallel to the top frame structure having a second plurality of hooks about its perimeter, a plurality of vertical support members coupled between the top frame structure and the bottom frame structure, a shoe support member having a plurality of connection hooks positioned about an outer edge, and a plurality of stretchable cords configured to couple the shoe support member to the top frame structure and the bottom frame structure, the stretchable cords coupled to the top frame structure position the shoe support member above the bottom support structure.
