The present disclosure relates to a flue gas exhaust system for an industrial furnace, especially a steam reforming furnace. The flue gas exhaust system comprises a stack having an inlet opening for introducing flue gas into the stack and an outlet opening for exhausting flue gas. The inlet opening of the stack is in fluid connection to an outlet of a heat recovery system of the industrial furnace. Further, the fluid connection between said heat recovery system outlet and said stack inlet opening comprises a transition flue gas duct that at least partly embraces a part of the stack.

A system for producing steam includes a steam generator with steam output; a membrane filtration system in fluid communication with the steam output and including a membrane filter with a permeate side and an opposing retentate side. The membrane filter includes a separation membrane constructed to reject organic molecules. The system may be used for removing organic compounds, such as anti-corrosion agents or contaminants, from steam.
Combined cycle power plant having condensate recirculation pump using venturi effect
A combined cycle power plant and a method for operating a combined cycle power plant are presented. The combined cycle power plant includes a condensate recirculation pump to recirculate flow medium from downstream of a condensate preheater system to upstream of the condensate preheater system. An adequate flow temperature at the upstream of the condensate preheater system may be maintained to prevent acid gas dew point corrosion. The condensate recirculation pump may use a venturi effect to convert a high pressure of a condensate supplied by a condensate extraction pump to a suction pressure for the recirculation.
Method and system for improving boiler effectiveness
A method for improving effectiveness of a steam generator system includes providing air to an air preheater at a mass flow such that the air preheater has a cold end outlet temperature defined by the improved air preheater operating with increased heat recovery (HR) of at least 1% calculated according to the equation: HR=100%((TgiTgoAdvX)/(TgiTgoSTD)1). The method requires either reducing the amount of heat that flows into the air preheater from the flue gas and/or increasing the amount of heat extracted from the flue gas. The method includes mitigating SO.sub.3 in the flue gas which is discharged directly from the air preheater to a particulate removal system and then directly into a flue gas desulfurization system. The method includes extracting heat from the Flue gas to create equipment preheat and/or flue gas stack reheat air with the latter being fed to heat the flue gas prior to entering a discharge stack to raise the temperature of the flue gas to mitigate visible plume exiting and to mitigate corrosion in, the discharge stack.

The present invention relates to a closed circuit operating on a Rankine cycle, the circuit comprising at least one compression and circulation pump for a working fluid in liquid form, a heat exchanger over which a hot source is swept in order to evaporate the fluid, means for expanding the fluid in the form of a vapor, a cooling exchanger swept by a cold source to condense the working fluid, a reservoir of working fluid, and working fluid circulation pipes for circulating the fluid between the pump, the heat exchanger, the expansion means, the condenser and the reservoir. The circuit comprises a device for draining the fluid contained in the heat exchanger.

The present invention relates to a closed circuit operating on a Rankine cycle, the circuit comprising at least one compression and circulation pump for a working fluid in liquid form, a heat exchanger over which a hot source is swept in order to evaporate the fluid, means for expanding the fluid in the form of a vapor, a cooling exchanger swept by a cold source to condense the working fluid, a reservoir of working fluid, and working fluid circulation pipes for circulating the fluid between the pump, the heat exchanger, the expansion means, the condenser and the reservoir. The circuit comprises a device for draining the fluid contained in the heat exchanger.

Spray nozzle and deaerator
A spray nozzle and a deaerator each include an external cylinder provided with a plurality of jetting outlets on an outer circumference portion thereof, an inner cylinder that is supported inside the external cylinder so as to be movable in an axial center direction and is provided with a plurality of first communication holes capable of communicating with the jetting outlets, and an open-close valve that includes a shaft coupled to the inner cylinder and a valve body provided at a distal end portion of the shaft and capable of opening and closing a distal opening of the external cylinder. The spray nozzle and the deaerator thus structured provide improved performance by preventing an increase in pressure loss occurring regardless of a jet flow amount.
