Disclosed is a foldable weight training sled for training, where the foldable weight training sled is moved along a substantially linear longitudinal direction. The foldable weight training sled includes a chassis, a first pair of fixed rotatable wheels, a second pair of fixed rotatable wheels, a first pair of foldable push bars, a second pair of foldable push bars, and a measurement device. The foldable push bars may be moved between an upright deployed position, and a folded position wherein the push bars rest along a top side of the chassis.

Pedaling exercise device

A pedaling exercise device includes a rotation mechanism configured to pivotally support a rotation shaft to allow rotation, a pair of cranks having first ends connected to both ends of the rotation shaft of the rotation mechanism, respectively, a pair of links having first ends rotatably connected to second ends of the cranks, respectively, and having second ends provided with wheels, respectively, a pair of pedal portions connected to the links along a longitudinal direction of the links, respectively, a rolling surface connected to a first end of the rotation mechanism on a user side, and a restriction portion configured to restrict separation of the wheels from the upper surface of the rolling surface in a case where the first end of the rotation mechanism is lifted such that the rotation mechanism is erected in a state where a second end of the rotation mechanism is grounded.

Exercise Machine with Resistance Selector System

An exercise machine with resistance selector system for selecting the number of bias members applying a resistance force against a movable platform. The exercise machine with resistance selector system generally includes one or more switches which are connected to the movable platform. Each of the one or more switches is adapted to engage or disengage a corresponding latch. When engaged, the latch will connect a corresponding bias member to the movable platform. When disengaged, the latch will disconnect a corresponding bias member from the movable platform. In this manner, an exerciser may easily adjust the number of bias members connected to the movable platform so as to adjust the resistance force applied against movement of the movable platform along a rail.

Reciprocating dynamometer to assess human physical capacity and muscle composition
10286253 · 2019-05-14 ·

A reciprocating dynamometer assesses human physical capacity and muscle composition by: (1) simultaneously working all four limbs of the body through a full range of motion while maximally loading the muscles through a full range of speeds; (2) simultaneously capturing the reciprocating torques and reciprocating angular velocities of all four reciprocating limbs, and (3) adjusting to provide similar ranges of motion for limb joints of human subjects of different body height and limb length. Levers provide synchronized, reciprocating, angular movements for handles and pedals while adjustable brakes oppose reciprocating motion during a 15 second test of maximal exertion. Measurements of elapsed time, torque input to each lever and angular displacement of each lever enable a plot of cyclical moving average of power over cycle frequency for each limb. Peak cyclical power is the maximal rate of work performed, averaged over one movement cycle. Cycle frequency at peak cyclical power is a noninvasive reflection of muscle composition (fiber typing). Fundamental to this device and method is use of moving averages based not on time, but on movement cycle.

Exercise Apparatus
20190134452 · 2019-05-09 ·

An exercise apparatus allowing freedom of movement of an exercise bar is provided. The exercise apparatus comprises one or more base assemblies; a pair of spaced vertical members mounted to the one or more base assemblies; and a first bar member mounted to the spaced vertical members, wherein the first bar member is at least partially rotatable relative to the longitudinal axes of the vertical members. The one or more base assemblies may facilitate multidirectional horizontal movement of the vertical members, whereby the first bar member is rotatable relative to the longitudinal axes of the vertical members.

Strength training apparatus with flywheel and related methods

Embodiments of a strength training apparatus and related methods are provided. In one embodiment, a strength training apparatus may include a base member, a tower structure, a first arm, a second arm, a flywheel, a cable and pulley system, a torque sensor, and a console. The cable and pulley system may be configured to effect rotation of the flywheel. The torque sensor may be configured to measure torque applied to the flywheel during the rotation of the flywheel. The console may include an output device. The console may further be in communication with the torque sensor. The console may further be configured to calculate an amount of work expended by a user based at least in part on the measured torque. The output device may be configured to provide an indication of the calculated amount of work expended by the user.

Exercise Device Limb Interface

A limb interface device for an exercise apparatus including a handle member within an inner frame member that can be rotatable about a first axis with a first joint, for gripping with one or two hands by a user. The first joint can be limited to about 40 or less rotation. At least one outer support member can support the inner frame member. The inner frame member can be rotatable about a second axis orthogonal to the first axis with a second joint. An outer arc member can support the at least one support member. The at least one support member can be rotatable about a third axis orthogonal to the second axis with a third joint. An arm member can support the outer arc member. The outer arc member can rotate about a fourth axis that is orthogonal to the third axis with a fourth joint. The fourth joint can allow rotation of about 180 or less rotation and is associated with a centering biasing arrangement for resiliently biasing the outer arc member towards a centered position when rotated. The arm member can also be rotatable about a fifth axis that is longitudinal to the arm member and orthogonal to the fourth axis with a fifth joint.
