This invention offers a rowing machine's mechanical resistance device which comprises an electric motor or a solenoid, a programmable control means and a custom algorithm, controlling the programmable controls means. It eliminates the compromising effect of backlash between the rower's handle and the resistance imparting device. This backlash is present between the power and the idle phases of rowing strokes on all state of the art rowing machines comprising flywheels. Ultimately, this invention allows all rowers to improve their rowing form and avoid injury.

ATHLETE TRAINING DEVICE
20180372170 · 2018-12-27 ·

The present device relates to means for the individual training of highly-qualified athletes in cyclic sports. The technical result is the more reliable transfer of power from a drive to a working mechanism with the possibility of smoothing out ultrashort fluctuations (0.3-0.7 seconds) in force. The athlete training device comprises two spaced-apart bases, each having a pulley attached thereto for rotation in a single plane. An annular cable track is fastened between the pulleys, to which track a lanyard is secured by one end, the other end of the lanyard being fastened to a device for attaching the athlete. With the aid of a motor, a rotation rate is transmitted to one of the pulleys via a shaft. The shaft, which consists of a driving part and a driven part, has mounted thereon an adjustable transmission for controlling torque. The adjustable transmission is in the form of an electromagnetic powder clutch, consisting of a driving part, connected to the driving part of the shaft, and a driven part, connected to the driven part of the shaft. The driving and driven parts of the clutch are configured in the form of steel cylinders. An annular groove in the driven part contains an excitation winding, which is connected via slip rings and brushes to a dc power supply. The driven part of the clutch is mounted with clearance in a coaxial cavity in the driving part, the clearance gap between the driving part and the driven part of the clutch containing a ferromagnetic powder, the viscosity of which is adjusted by a clutch controller.

Mirror therapy device

A portable mirror therapy device comprises a stiff divider panel attached to a base unit which supports the divider panel in an upright position to define two adjacent limb receiving spaces at opposite sides of the divider panel. A mirror is mounted on one face of the divider panel. A clamp mounted at a lower end of the divider panel cooperates with an underside of the base unit for securing the base unit on a support such as a table or worktop. An exercise apparatus is mounted on the device and includes a limb engaging member, which in this case comprises a handle at a mirror side of the divider panel. The exercise apparatus is a resistance load training system and comprises a load cord extending from the handle to an associated resistance element mounted within a housing on an opposite side of the divider panel to the mirror.

STAIR STEPPERS

The present disclosure relates to a stair steppers, comprising a base, a bracket and a motion mechanism, the base supports the bracket, and the motion mechanism is disposed on the bracket, the bracket comprises a main body fixed to the base and a guide rail hinged to the main body, the guide rail is disposed to be inclined to the base, the motion mechanism comprises pedal links, pedals and pedal cranks, the pedal is disposed on the pedal link, the pedal link is hinged to the pedal crank, the pedal cranks are further hinged to the main body of the bracket, a hinge point of the pedal crank and the pedal link is disposed to be spaced apart from a hinge point of the pedal crank and the main body, the pedal link is provided with an abutting portion which abuts against the guide rail and is reciprocatingly movable along the guide rail. Since the guide rail is hinged to the main body, it is feasible to adjust an inclination angle of the guide rail relative to the base so as to change a movement trajectory of the pedal links and thereby adjust the difficulty of exercise of the stair steppers. When an angle between the guide rail and the base is larger, the difficulty of exercise is higher, otherwise, the difficulty of exercise is lower.

EXERCISE MACHINE BRAKE SYSTEM

An exercise machine includes a shaft configured to rotate about an axis; a spool configured to receive a strap and drive rotation of the shaft about the axis in response to movement of the strap; a flywheel configured to rotate about the axis; one or more conductive coils arranged to generate magnetic fields that induce eddy currents in the flywheel; a clutch configured to engage and disengage transmission of torque between the spool and the flywheel; and a spring arranged around the axis, the spring configured to exert a return torque on the spool about the axis in response to rotation of the shaft.

MULTI FUNCTION EXERCISE APPARATUS WITH RESISTANCE MECHANISM
20180021614 · 2018-01-25 ·

An exercise apparatus providing a User multiple different exercises, including both resistance movements and isometrics. The User interacts with the apparatus by grasping a bar. A resistance mechanism is symmetrically mounted on a second bar and provides infinitely variable resistance to the User, as well as soundproof operation. A vertical column allows infinite positioning of the bars for different exercises, and a bench provides support. The User can change the exercise resistance by verbal commands, or the apparatus can sense the torque applied by the user to the apparatus and vary the exercise resistance in response to the force applied by the User or the speed at which the user is moving the bar. The apparatus can be battery powered and operated at locations where electric service is unavailable, or in zero gravity. To verify accuracy, the resistance can be calibrated against a known quantity of weight.
