PROCESSES AND APPARATUSES FOR BURNING A HYDROGEN FUEL AND A HYDROCARBON FUEL
Processes and apparatuses for heating process fluid in a furnace. Fuel to the furnace is either hydrocarbons or hydrogen. The fuels may be sent to different furnaces or be sent at different times to the same furnace. Furnaces that are configured to receive both types of fuels may have different exhaust paths. An exhaust path for hydrocarbon fuel flue gas includes a carbon capture process zone.
GAS BURNER SYSTEM AND METHOD THEREOF
A system for use with a fired vessel of production/separators or dehydration equipment that includes a metal box, a main burner, a pilot burner, and a flame arrestor. The main burner and the pilot burner are within the metal box and the first flame arrestor is connected to the metal box.
LOW NOX BURNER WITH BYPASS CONDUIT
A burner and methods of using the burner. The burner utilizes bypass conduits to separate the combustion air that is passed to the primary combustion zone into two or more portions. The two portions are injected into the primary combustion zone at different points so as to reduce the flame temperature. A NOx reducing medium may be mixed with the combustion air in the bypass conduit. The NOx reducing medium may be flue gases from a combustion chamber having the primary combustion zone.
MULTI-FUEL ISOLATED IMPULSE INITIATOR
A multi-fueled impulse initiator that includes a fuel source equipped with a control valve, an air source equipped with a control valve, a removable air flow insert having opposing inlet and outlet faces, an air expansion chamber fluidly connected to both the air source and the inlet face of the removable air flow insert, and an igniter assembly having a sparking tip. The removable air flow insert includes channels traversing from the inlet face to the outlet face of the air flow insert.
Method for delivering heating oil to customers of fuel oil dealers
A method for delivering heating oil to homes and commercial establishments comprises a two-mode combination of (a) using a conventional large-tank delivery truck and (b) using a portable, self-contained apparatus which is carried on a lighter weight truck as cargo. The portable apparatus comprises a tank having just under 119 gallons capacity, a pump for flowing oil through a meter subsystem which measures the quantity of oil, to a hose; all mounted on a skid for portability. The apparatus is capable of dispensing oil quantities of 1, 5, or 25 gallons while meeting regulators' weights and measures approval requirements. When the small tank is filled with heating oil, preferred apparatus weighs less than 1500 pounds and is removably carried on the bed of an un-placarded truck (one that does not have to meet hazardous material requirements), and that may be driven by a driver having an ordinary driver's license, compared to the requirements and associated costs attending the conventional truck.
WIND-ASSISTED AIR SUPPLY TO COAL-FIRED POWER PLANTS
A system for providing wind-assisted air supply to coal-fired power plants through the use of a wind funnel communicating with an air handler system of a coal-fired boiler is disclosed. The shape, size and orientation of the wind funnel may be controlled in order to optimize the collection of wind and generation of increased air pressure for delivery to the coal-fired boiler system. Increased operating efficiency of coal-fired power plants may be achieved with the wind funnel system.
MONITORING AND MAINTAINING FLARE TIP TEMPERATURES
A data stream indicative of a first set of flare tip parameters is received. A second set of parameters is determined based on the first set of flare tip parameters. A control signal is sent to an actuable device based on the first set of parameters and the second set of parameters. The actuable device is configured to maintain at least one parameter of the first set of parameter and the second set of parameters within a specified range.
COMBUSTION SYSTEM WITH WIDE TURNDOWN COAL BURNER
A combustion system for a coal fired furnace having a windbox includes a source of a mixture of pulverized coal and air, and a splitter that receives the mixture and splits it into first and second mixed streams. A first nozzle receives the first mixed stream and discharges it into the furnace. A separator receives the second mixed stream and separates it into an air stream and a coal rich stream. An air conduit connected between the separator and the source of the mixture causes at least some of the air stream to be fed back into the mixture. A second nozzle receives the coal rich stream and discharges it into the furnace. A third nozzle receives support air from the windbox and discharges it into the furnace in a combustion supporting relationship with respect to the coal rich stream.
Boiler
This boiler has a flue in which a reducing agent supplying device and a selective reduction catalyst are provided, a bypass flow path bypassing economizers is provided, and a first closing device partially closing the bypass flow path and a second closing device partially closing the flue are also provided. A plurality of first closing members, serving as the first closing device, are provided along the direction in which exhaust gas flows through the flue at a predetermined spacing in the width direction of the flue. A plurality of second closing members, serving as the second closing device are provided along the vertical direction at a predetermined spacing in the width direction of the flue. The first closing members and the second closing members are arranged so as to be displaced from each other in the width direction of the flue.
