Combustor
A combustor includes a combustion tube having a cylindrical shape with a combustion space where fuel is combusted and including an inlet through which the fuel is introduced, an outlet through which a gas generated when the fuel is combusted is discharged, and a protrusion protruding inward from a wall surface between the inlet and the outlet; an injection unit configured to inject fuel into the combustion tube through the inlet of the combustion tube; and an additional injection unit located on the protrusion of the combustion tube and configured to inject fuel into the combustion tube.

Burner
A burner operating with flameless combustion, comprising a system for sucking the recycling flue gases directly from the combustion chamber by means of an ejector fed with the comburent, a heat exchange system positioned between the recycling flue gases and the comburent, a system for injecting the fuel directly into the recycling flue gases, the latter comprising or not comprising the comburent with formation of a mixture of fuel-recycling flue gases-comburent in the zone around the outlet of the comburent ejector and following introduction of the mixture into the combustion chamber.

A burner operating with flameless combustion, comprising a system for sucking the recycling flue gases directly from the combustion chamber by means of an ejector fed with the comburent, a heat exchange system positioned between the recycling flue gases and the comburent, a system for injecting the fuel directly into the recycling flue gases, the latter comprising or not comprising the comburent with formation of a mixture of fuel-recycling flue gases-comburent in the zone around the outlet of the comburent ejector and following introduction of the mixture into the combustion chamber.
Combustion chamber assembly unit for a fuel-operated vehicle heater
A combustion chamber assembly unit, for a fuel-operated vehicle heater, includes a combustion chamber housing (12) with a combustion chamber (18) defined by a circumferential wall (14) and by a bottom area (16). A flame tube (30) follows the circumferential wall (14) in the direction of a housing longitudinal axis (L) and encloses a waste gas flow space (32) that is open in the direction of the housing longitudinal axis (L). A flame diaphragm (34) has a flow-through opening (60). A waste gas backflow space (46) is formed between the flame tube (30) and a housing (38) enclosing same. The waste gas flow space (32) is open towards the waste gas backflow space (46) in a first axial end area (48) of the waste gas backflow space (46). A catalytic converter device (54), through which combustion waste gases can flow, is provided in the waste gas backflow space (46).
Combustion chamber assembly unit for a fuel-operated vehicle heater
A combustion chamber assembly unit, for a fuel-operated vehicle heater, includes a combustion chamber housing (12) with a combustion chamber (18) defined by a circumferential wall (14) and by a bottom area (16). A flame tube (30) follows the circumferential wall (14) in the direction of a housing longitudinal axis (L) and encloses a waste gas flow space (32) that is open in the direction of the housing longitudinal axis (L). A flame diaphragm (34) has a flow-through opening (60). A waste gas backflow space (46) is formed between the flame tube (30) and a housing (38) enclosing same. The waste gas flow space (32) is open towards the waste gas backflow space (46) in a first axial end area (48) of the waste gas backflow space (46). A catalytic converter device (54), through which combustion waste gases can flow, is provided in the waste gas backflow space (46).
FUEL-AIR MIXING AND FLAME STABILIZATION DEVICE FOR A LOW EMISSION BURNER WITH INTERNAL FLUE GAS RECIRCULATION
A flame stabilization apparatus with fuel injection upstream of a torpedo, includes a flame stabilization plate that incorporates spokes that stabilize a flame over a range of operations of a burner. The spokes surrounds a fuel plenum with respect to the burner. A first group of fuel ports can be located in a fuel tube upstream of the torpedo and a second group of fuel ports can be located in the flame stabilization plate. A discharge cone includes a discharge zone for the burner, wherein the flame with respect to the flue gas is stabilized at an end of the burner in the discharge zone.
Burner with adjustable end cap and method of operating same
A boiler system comprises a housing with a generally cylindrical shape extends between first and second walls to provide a generally cylindrical space. A fire tube is positioned near a bottom of the generally cylindrical housing and extends longitudinally from a first wall of the cylindrical housing to a fire tube end wall. The boiler system also includes a burner with a generally cylindrical housing which defines a generally cylindrical chamber and an end plate. The burner extends into the fire tube, and the fire tube provides a combustion chamber where combustion of an air-fuel mixture is accomplished using the burner. The end plate of the burner is adjustable so as to adjust the flame that extends from within the burner housing into the fire tube.

A boiler system comprises a housing with a generally cylindrical shape extends between first and second walls to provide a generally cylindrical space. A fire tube is positioned near a bottom of the generally cylindrical housing and extends longitudinally from a first wall of the cylindrical housing to a fire tube end wall. The boiler system also includes a burner with a generally cylindrical housing which defines a generally cylindrical chamber and an end plate. The burner extends into the fire tube, and the fire tube provides a combustion chamber where combustion of an air-fuel mixture is accomplished using the burner. The end plate of the burner is adjustable so as to adjust the flame that extends from within the burner housing into the fire tube.
Method and device to reduce emissions of nitrogen oxides and increase heat transfer in fired process heaters
A method and device for reducing emissions of nitrogen oxides and for increasing heat transfer in a fired process heater is disclosed herein. The invention relates generally to the combustion of fuel using some proportion of air as the oxidant which leads to the production of oxides of nitrogen, and more particularly to a method and device that reduces the production of nitrogen oxides from combustion, promotes the appropriate distribution of temperature to reduce fouling of the process tubes in a fired heater, and increases the efficiency of heat transfer to the same process tubes.
