The driving assembly is mounted on the frame and has two swinging rods, two sprockets, two chains, and two resilient members. The swinging rods are connected to the rear supporting rod. The two sprockets are mounted rotatably on the rear supporting rod. The two chains are respectively engaged with the two sprockets. The two resilient members are connected respectively to the chains. The damping assembly is mounted on the rear supporting rod and is connected to the driving assembly to provide a damping effect to the two sprockets. The linkage assembly is connected between the base of the frame and the two swinging rods to allow the two swinging rod to respectively swing in reverse directions.

Rowing machines are described that permit a rower to adjust the rowing resistance using a gear shift mechanism. The rowing machine includes a handle connected to a chain, which passes, sequentially, over a derailleur and then to the gears of the gear cassette. The gear cassette is coupled to a resistance unit, which may be similar to resistance units used in off wheel bicycle trainers. This configuration of derailleur and gear cassette permit the rower to smoothly select a gear.

In one aspect of the disclosure, a motorized Pilates reformer system may include a frame, a carriage configured to slide along the frame, springs attached to the carriage, attachment mechanisms attached to the frame, spring motors attached to the frame, a footbar rotatably attached to the frame, and a footbar motor attached to the frame. The spring motors may be configured to cause the attachment mechanisms to each alternate between attaching one of the springs to the frame and detaching the spring from the frame. The footbar motor may be configured to rotate the footbar with respect to the frame between multiple footbar positions.

An exercise chair includes a chair frame, and a base fixed with the chair frame that is adapted to support the exercise chair on a floor surface. The base and chair frame have a plurality of anchors projecting away therefrom. A cushion may cover at least a portion of the frame. Multiple resistance bands each have multiple longitudinal slots therethrough, each adapted for selective fixing with any of the anchor knobs or several attachable exercise devices. In use, with the person seated in the chair and the chair resting on the support surface, one or two of the resistance bands can be fixed with any of the anchor knobs, so that the person can exercise by pushing and/or pulling the at least one resistance band. A device for providing support to a user performing a physical exercise is provided. The device includes a frame including a first support strut and a second support strut and an elastic strap coupled to a first end of the first support strut and a first end of the second support strut. The elastic strap has sufficient tension to provide support to a user's body weight by supporting a chest of the user when the user performs a push-up using the device. In embodiments, the device includes a base support coupled to the frame. A sleeve of material may be disposed around a portion of the strap that is between the first support strut and the second support strut.
