Never Tire™ exercise apparatus
A tire-like exercise device having a substantially round outer periphery and a non-round inner periphery. The non-round inner periphery may be substantially rectangular and have one or more flat regions to provide hand and toe holds for performing various exercises. A first valve allows the firmness of the Never Tire exercise apparatus to be adjusted by increasing or decreasing inner air pressure. A second larger valve allows ballast, such as water or sand, to be input to the device to stabilize the apparatus against slipping and sliding.
Exercise device having damped oscillating foot platforms
An exercise device including two foot platforms riding on elongated rails for longitudinal motion relative thereto. The platforms are directly connected to each other by one or more elastic elements. One or more dampers are installed substantially parallel with the elastic elements to oppose the energy return of the elastic elements. When the two platforms are side-by-side, the elastic elements and dampers run in a substantially crosswise direction. A seated user may place feet on the platforms and move his/her feet and lower legs back and forth in a scissoring motion to move the platforms in opposition directions along the rails. In so doing, the user overcomes the resistance of the elastic elements and dampers connecting the platforms. This provides the user with exercise and its accompanying benefits.
METHODS OF RESISTANCE TRAINING TO ARM AND LEG MOVEMENTS WHILE RUNNING
A method for resistance training to arm and leg movement can include connecting a horizontally oriented raised weight base secured to a moveable sled in a spaced apart relationship, mounting a agility box, threading a first flexible and extendable one piece stretch cord through a plurality of aligned first upper rollers, securing a static non-extending stretch cord between the moveable sled and a subject, pulling on the first flexible and extendable one piece stretch cord connected to the moveable sled by the subject to receive a first load of resistance causing a physiological change to a targeted part of the subject and simultaneously receiving a second load of resistance to a targeted part of the subject while pulling the moveable sled with the static non-extendable stretch cord.
FITNESS APPARATUS
An exercise apparatus is provided having a handle pivotally attached to a flat base, the base and handle having optional weights, the flat base providing resistance when the handle moves the base along a surface.
Portable Exercise Device
A weighted dumbbell having a housing 4, 34 with a substantially cylindrical envelope in a first configuration, and convertible into an abdominal roller in a second configuration, the dumbbell including two elongate handles 8 located along an axis of said housing, said handles being lodged within the housing 34 in the first configuration and being slidable in mutually opposite directions along the axis, such that in the second configuration the handles 8 extend outwardly from said housing and the housing 4, 34 is rotatable about the axis with respect to the handles.
Devices and methods of thermal management for a motorized wheel
A method of thermal management for an electrically motorized wheel, the method can include defining a thermally conductive path from at least one component, the at least one component becoming heated during operation of the electrically motorized wheel, providing the path with a thermally conductive material and further defining the path such that the path contacts the at least one component, further defining the path such that the path contacts a hub shell assembly of the electrically motorized wheel thereby conducting heat from the at least one component to the hub shell assembly.
Wheel attachment for stationary exercise bike
The wheel attachment for stationary exercise bike is an attachment adapted for use with a stationary exercise bike. The wheel attachment for stationary exercise bike is adapted for use in cross-training. Specifically, the wheel attachment for stationary exercise bike is a rotating handle bar that is mounted on the stationary exercise bike. The wheel attachment for stationary exercise bike is mounted on a pivot that allows the wheel attachment for stationary exercise bike to be rotated in a first plane of rotation that is perpendicular to a second plane of rotation that is defined by the rotation of the pedals of the exercise bike. The wheel attachment for stationary exercise bike comprises a pivot, a handle bar, a strut, and a front tire apparatus.
EXERCISE MACHINE HAVING ELASTIC EXERCISE RESISTANCE CABLES
There is provided an exercise machine. The machine includes an upright mounting assembly having a top and a bottom spaced-apart from the top. The machine includes a seat operatively connected to the mounting assembly. The machine includes a first pair of space-apart pulley assemblies rotatably mounted adjacent to the top of the mounting assembly. The machine includes a second pair of spaced-apart pulley assemblies rotatably mounted adjacent to the bottom of the mounting assembly. The machine includes a plurality of exercise resistance cables connected at proximal end portions to the mounting assembly and extending around and outward from the pulley assemblies.
KNOCK DOWN SELECTORIZED DUMBBELL HAVING FASTENER AND TOOL FREE ASSEMBLY OF NESTED WEIGHTS
A selectorized dumbbell includes a horizontal stack of nested left weight plates and a horizontal stack of spaced right weight plates with the stacks being separated by a gap into which a handle may be inserted. A selector is movable into different positions relative to the handle to vary how many nested left and right weight plates from the stacks thereof are coupled to the handle to vary the exercise mass of the handle. Each left weight plate has a counterpart right weight plate counterpart which are coupled together by at least one interconnecting member having a first keyhole slot connection between the left end of the interconnecting member and the left weight plate and a second keyhole slot connection between the right end of the interconnecting member and the right weight plate.
Athletic training sled providing additional methods of resistance training to arm and leg movements while running
The present invention comprises a novel sled training device generally consisting of a sled with vertically oriented pole for attaching, a detachable cuboidal structure that attaches to the sled and holds pulley systems with stretch cords running through them and then to the ankles and wrists of the user. A rope or stretch cord attaches to the front of the sled and runs to an attachment point on a harness worn by the user when the apparatus is configured to be pulled by the user. The apparatus may be configured to be pushed by the user by means of an attachment that connects to the vertically oriented pole for attaching weights, and which has padded structures to be pushed by the subject's shoulders and/or forehead. The detachable cuboidal structure may be removed from the sled and attached to any stationary structure for use without the sled.
