Secondary brackets on the exercise bar are configured to engage respective ones of the carriage releases and grab the carriage so as to selectively engage and disengage the locking mechanisms upon axial rotation of the exercise bar and raise and lower the carriages with the exercise bar.

A glute press exercise machine including: a four-bar linkage connected to a stationary frame; a rotatable back support connected to the four-bar linkage; a seat connected to the four-bar linkage; and a foot support connected to the stationary frame. A lower portion of the back support extends below the user's hips to support the users hips during a glute press exercise. This lower portion supports at least 10% of the user's weight. In operation, the seat rotates downwardly away from the user's hips during a glute press exercise and then rotates upwardly again to contact the user's bottom between every repetition of the glute press exercise. The four-bar linkage is pivotally connected to the stationary frame at a location near ground level. The foot support is positioned below 25 cm from the ground and extends forwardly beyond the front of the stationary frame.

WEIGHTLIFTING SYSTEM

An exercise system includes a base structure including a first cross brace including first cross brace mounting plates disposed at each end of the first cross brace. A pair of pulley-support pulleys is rotatably secured to the pulley-support pulley housing. A second cross brace includes a central portion substantially parallel to the first cross brace. The central portion is secured to the pair of base guide rail supports and the pair of base pulley supports. Two end portions are disposed at an angle to the central portion and terminate at second cross brace mounting plates disposed at each end of the two end portions and two central-portion pulley housings. A central-portion pulley is rotatably secured to each of the two central-portion pulley housings.

A resistance training machine comprises a carriage with a handle coupled to move along a linear guide such as a post. First and second end portions of a flexible element are respectively coupled the carriage. A portion of the flexible element forms a loop defined by a series of guiding elements such as pulleys. The loop is coupled to a resistance element such as a weight. First and second fasteners are respectively provided in the first and second end portions of the flexible element. A user can adjust the carriage to a starting position at their desired height and affix one of the fasteners to an anchor point of the receivers. The user can move the carriage either through causing the loop of the flexible element to be reduced in length and to pull on the resistance element or plates on plate horns to perform resistance training.

Time-of-flight ranging device

A housing for a Time-of-Flight (ToF) range meter includes a wall structure defining a first optical beam path to an emitter of the ToF range meter, and a second optical beam path to a detector of the ToF range meter, and a transmissive optical diffusor configured to cover the beam path to at least one of said emitter and said detector. The housing may be connected to a ToF range meter into a ToF ranging device. Such a ToF ranging device where the ToF ranging device is directed to measure a distance to a reflector member to determine a distance which correlates to the weight of the selectively engaged weights.
