The rollout switch is electrically coupled to the regulator. At least one vent is formed through the rollout shield adjacent to the rollout switch. The vent provides a path for a rollout flame to the rollout switch. The at least one vent is disposed on at least two sides of the rollout switch.
PILOT STABILIZED BURNER
According to an embodiment, a burner system includes a pilot burner disposed in a furnace at a distal position along a main fuel and combustion air flow axis, and one or more main fuel nozzles disposed at a proximal position along the main fuel and combustion air flow axis. The pilot burner is configured to support a pilot flame and the one or more main fuel nozzles are configured to support a main flame in contact with the pilot flame. The pilot burner is disposed to cause the main fuel and combustion air to be ignited by the pilot flame. The pilot burner may support a diffusion pilot flame or may include a premixing apparatus to support a pre-mixed flame.
Gas burner, gas burner assembly and domestic cooking appliance
A gas burner for a household cooking appliance includes a burner casing including a plurality of mixture outlet openings configured to guide out, during operation of the gas burner, a mixture of combustion gas and primary air into an area surrounding the gas burner for producing a burner flame. A mixture distribution chamber evenly distributes the mixture of combustion gas and primary air to the mixture outlet openings. Fluidly connected with the mixture distribution chamber is a storage chamber for storing, during operation of the gas burner, part of the mixture of combustion gas and primary air. The storage chamber includes an ignition flame opening configured to guide out the mixture of combustion gas and primary air that is stored in the storage chamber into the surrounding area for producing an ignition flame.

A temperature sensor (1) for gas burner (2) having a thermocouple (11) comprising electric conductors (15) and a connection element (12) to connect to the burner (2) associated with a free end (18) of such thermocouple (11), said connection element (12) being suitable for being inserted inside a seat of the sensor (8) formed inside a wall (4) of the burner (2) and having a first end (26) suitable for being placed at the outer surface (6) of the burner (2), said thermocouple (11) being inserted inside a blind hole (29) of the connection element (12) which opens at a second end (28) of said connection element (12). Said blind hole (29) ends with at least one part (31) convergent towards an end zone (K) of the hole (29), said part (31) getting in contact with the thermocouple (11) inserted inside the connection element, the connection element (12) being made from an iron-chrome-aluminum alloy. An assembly comprising such temperature sensor and a burner is also claimed.
Burner, combustion apparatus, method for combustion, method for controlling combustion, recording medium, and water heater
High intensity combustion and low intensity combustion are carried out together, to stabilize flames and to hold down the emission of carbon monoxide. An air-fuel mixture outlet member (back plate) that includes a single or a plurality of outlet(s) (air-fuel mixture outlet(s)) out of which an air-fuel mixture (GA) flows is include, and a metal fiber knitting body (metal knit) that covers the air-fuel mixture outlet member is included. Therefor, the air-fuel mixture, which is made to flow out of the outlet(s), passes through the metal fiber knitting body (metal knit) and is combusted, a flame of low intensity (flame) is generated together with a flame of high intensity (flame) by combustion of the air-fuel mixture, and the flame of low intensity holds the flame of high intensity.
CYLINDRICAL BURNER APPARATUS AND METHOD
A cylindrical burner apparatus and method which produce low NO.sub.x emissions and low noise levels without being dependent upon a blower, or natural draft, for providing air flow or flue gas recirculation. A flow of combustion air is induced into an initial tube pass of the burner by discharging a gas fuel from a plurality of discharge ports located in the initial tube pass. At the same time, a flow of recycled flue gas is induced through a bypass duct between a subsequent tube pass of the burner and the initial tube pass by discharging one or more jets of gas fuel through the bypass duct.
PLUG-RESISTANT BURNER TIP AND METHOD
A burner tip apparatus which is resistant to plugging, and a staged air method of operation which reduces the peak temperature of the flame of the burner tip to provide low levels of NO.sub.x and other emissions. The burner tip can be used as an auxiliary burner tip for stabilizing a main burner flame, or for other purposes.
Burner and air supply assembly for horizontal immersion tube boilers
Horizontal immersion tube boilers include a plurality of burner nozzles positioned in substantial alignment with a respective plurality of boiler tubes. Fuel-air mixture directed through the burner nozzles are ignited by a pilot flame system positioned proximate to the burner nozzles within a combustion chamber. The burner nozzles and pilot flame system receive air from a secondary air manifold having inlets that provide secondary air into the combustion chamber. The flames extending from the burner nozzles are directed into the respective boiler tubes, which exchange heat from the flame into water within a boiler shell. The secondary air inlets direct air around the burner nozzles and toward the boiler tubes, creating an air blanket around each burner nozzle for reducing turbulence and guide the flames into their respective boiler tubes. An improved flame arrestor within the nozzle prevents flame back-flow when modulating to lower firing rates.
