INTEGRATED FLARE COMBUSTION CONTROL
A system for flare combustion control includes a sound speed measurement device for measuring sound speed in a flare vent gas, and a flare combustion controller including a memory and a processor. The processor is configured to receive the measured sound speed and determine, based on the measured sound speed, a molecular weight of the flare vent gas. The processor is further configured to determine, based on the determined molecular weight, a net heating value of the flare vent gas, and adjust the net heating value of the flare vent gas by regulating an amount of a supplemental fuel gas in the flare vent gas.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR MONITORING AND OPTIMIZING FLARE PURGE GAS WITH A WIRELESS ROTAMETER
A method for optimizing purge gas of a flare system includes measuring a flow of flare fluids within a flare system to obtain a measured flow value. The flow of the flare fluids is compared to a target flow to obtain a difference between the flow of the flare fluids and the target flow. A control valve is operated to amend a flow of purge gas and the steps of measuring a flow of flare fluids and comparing the flow of the flare fluids to the target flow are repeated until the flow of the purge gas is within a target range. A value of the flow of purge gas is measured and transmitted wirelessly to a control system.

Automated biomass distribution system
A biomass energy system utilizes an automated biomass distribution system for evenly distributing biomass within a furnace of the biomass energy system. The even distribution of biomass dramatically increases efficiency of the biomass energy system. The automated biomass distribution system includes a control unit, a set of I/P control boxes, and a set of valve assemblies. Each valve assembly includes a pneumatic actuator, a plug and a discharge duct matching the shape of the plug.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR INCINERATING WASTE
Exemplary arrangements relate to a method for incinerating waste on a combustion grate of a furnace and an apparatus for carrying out such a method. Oxygen mixed with carrier gas is supplied to the combustion for incineration as an oxygen and carrier gas mixture. The carrier gas comprises recirculated combustion gas from the furnace and may have a CO.sub.2 concentration of from 10% to 99%.

VOLATILLES CAPTURE EDUCTOR SYSTEM
A volatiles consuming eductor system for coated scrap metal furnaces with separate delacquering and melt chambers. Motive gas is forced through an inlet into a mixing chamber in a direction opposite a suction port, creating a Venturi that draws gases from the delaquering chamber through the mixing chamber. The motive gas and the drawn gases mix and are forced through a discharge port, ignited, and injected into the melt chamber to help heat the melt chamber. A computer monitors process conditions and controls a regulator that adjusts the motive gas flow in response to those conditions.
Method and Apparatus for Improved Operation of Chemical Recovery Boilers
A chemical recovery boilers is described in which the primary air system is reconfigured to provide aggressive charbed control and improved combustion in the lower furnace. The fewest number of primary air ports are used on two opposing walls to generate powerful air jets that penetrate across the boiler providing physical and thermal stability to the charbed while increasing the heat release and combustion stability in the lower furnace, increasing reduction efficiency, and lowering carryover and emissions. Various embodiments are described including operating strategies and multi-level black liquor injection.
