Method and device for calculating combustion in waste incinerator bed
Disclosed is a method for calculating combustion in the bed of a waste incinerator. The method is based on a model of combustion in a waste incinerator bed and comprises a water evaporation model, a volatile matter analysis model, a volatile matter combustion model, and a fixed carbon combustion model. The volatile matter of the volatile matter combustion model comprises CO, H.sub.2, CH.sub.4, NH.sub.3, and H.sub.2S. The volatile matter combustion model comprises a combustion reaction equation for said volatile matter and O.sub.2, and respective equations for CO and CH.sub.4 reacting with water vapor. Equations governing the model of combustion in the bed of a waste incinerator comprise a continuity equation, an energy equation, a momentum equation, and a component equation. Boundary conditions of said governing equations comprise: equations of heat transfer and mass transfer from an upper boundary layer of the bed to the exterior; and equations of heat transfer and mass transfer from lower boundary layer of the bed to the exterior.
BURNER FLAME STABILIZATION METHOD AND SYSTEM
A system and method in which (i) a flame scanner provides UV and/or IR wave period and amplitude information for a burner flame and (ii) a flame stabilization metering module determines whether the wave period and amplitude of the flame have reached warning and shutoff set points for the burner, thus indicating that the operation of the burner is unstable, or that a flame out event is likely, and, in which event, corrective actions are taken, or the burner is shut down, to restore stable operation and prevent a flame out from occurring.
System and method for remote monitoring and control of landfill and recycling operations
A system and method for remote monitoring and control of landfill and recycling operations provide an intelligent centralized platform for remote, real-time industrial data gathering and process control for management of landfill and recycling operations such as leachate, gas, water and other liquids. The system and method can directly upload machine data (such as liquid volumes, flows, level, equipment runtime, sorter data, status, etc) into a centralized platform. This data can be used for analytics and automation of processes and equipment control.

Rotary seal and bearing
Systems and methods for sealing a static or rotary tube to a rotary tube that is part of a thermal unit performing an airless or oxygen starved high-temperature incineration process like pyrolysis. Embodiments comprise a seal comprising a bearing assembly suspended on gimbals, the bearing assembly comprising an outer housing supporting therebetween a plurality of support rollers in contact with a rolling seal disk disposed between the flanges of the tubes. Embodiments comprise features that aid in preventing the bad effects of high temperatures and axial thrust loads of the tubes, including coordinating beveled portions on the support rollers and rolling seal disk. Embodiments comprise features for modularity and ease of maintenance, including gland plates, bore holes for oil and/or grease.
