Tempering Air System For Gas Turbine Selective Catalyst Reduction System

The present application provides a selective catalyst reduction system for use with a combustion gas stream of a gas turbine. The selective catalyst reduction system may include a tempering air system with a finger mixer and a number of mixer plates and a catalyst positioned downstream of the tempering air system. The tempering air system cools the combustion gas stream and evens out the temperature profile before the combustion gas stream reaches the catalyst.

Fluid bed regenerative thermal oxidizer and a method for its use
11262068 · 2022-03-01 ·

The present device is a fluid bed regenerative thermal oxidizer configured to minimize dead spaces within it and eliminate the need for complex valve systems, which are typically required to move treated and untreated air across fixed beds. The present device can be a fluid bed regenerative thermal oxidizer comprising a vertical stack having a combustion chamber near its interior center and desorber shelves located within the vertical stack above the combustion chamber and adsorber shelves located within the vertical stack below the combustion shelves. Ceramic spheres can be used as heat sinks that flow from the desorber shelves, around the combustion chamber and onto the adsorber shelves and then back to the desorber shelves. In this way heat from the combustion can be captured by the heat exchange material on the desorber shelves and released to preheat untreated air on the adsorber shelves.

Carbon fiber production method

A carbon fiber production method includes a carbon fiber production step including an oxidation step and a carbonization step; and an exhaust gas processing step including a heat exchange step; an external air mixing step; and a mixed external air supplying step in which the mixed external air is supplied to at least one step that uses heated gas in the steps in the carbon fiber production step; and among the exhaust gases, a high heating value exhaust gas having a heating value of 250 kcal/Nm.sup.3 or higher is supplied to an inlet side of an exhaust gas combustion apparatus and a low heating value exhaust gas having a heating value lower than 150 kcal/Nm.sup.3 is supplied to an outlet side of the exhaust gas combustion apparatus, respectively.

An embodiment is an emissions reduction system for exhaust gases. The emissions reduction system includes a reaction chamber with one or more parallel flow tubes. Each parallel flow tube includes a heating element to heat exhaust gases to oxidize PICs and other pollutants contained in and/or carried by the exhaust gases. The reaction chamber may also include an adjustable bypass for the exhaust gases to variably bypass the parallel flow tubes. The reaction chamber may further include an oxidizing agent injector to improve the oxidation of the PICs and other pollutants in the reaction chamber. The emissions reduction system of an embodiment may further include a catalyst bed in fluid communication with the reaction chamber to further reduce emissions.

Vacuum pump with abatement function

A vacuum pump includes a vacuum pump having a discharge port to which an abatement part for treating an exhaust gas discharged from the vacuum pump to make the exhaust gas harmless is attached. The vacuum pump includes a cylindrical member having an exhaust gas introduction port for introducing the exhaust gas to be treated and a gas outlet port for discharging gases which have been treated, a plurality of fuel nozzles provided at a circumferential wall of the cylindrical member for ejecting a fuel, and a plurality of air nozzles provided at the circumferential wall of the cylindrical member for ejecting air so as to form a swirling flow of air along an inner circumferential surface of the circumferential wall. The air nozzles are disposed at a plurality of stages spaced in an axial direction of the cylindrical member.

APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR THERMAL EXHAUST GAS PURIFICATION

VOLATILES CAPTURE EDUCTOR SYSTEM
20220040649 · 2022-02-10 · ·

A volatiles consuming eductor system for coated scrap metal furnaces with separate delacquering and melt chambers. Motive gas is forced through an inlet into a mixing chamber in a direction opposite a suction port, creating a Venturi that draws gases from the delaquering chamber through the mixing chamber. The motive gas and the drawn gases mix and are forced through a discharge port, ignited, and injected into the melt chamber to help heat the melt chamber. A computer monitors process conditions and controls a regulator that adjusts the motive gas flow in response to those conditions.
