Flexor and extensor exercise device
An exercise device that exercises both flexor and extensor muscles is provided. The exercise device includes a base having a front end, a rear end, a first side and a second side. Protruding from the rear end of the base is an anchor bar. The anchor bar may be substantially perpendicular to the base. An overhead handle bar may be pivotally connected to the top of the anchor bar by a pivot point. A stationary fulcrum may be secured to opposing sides of the base. A rotating rod is secured to the stationary fulcrum and rotates about a horizontal axis running through the rotating rod and the fulcrum. A slant board is supported by and pivots about the rotating rod.
Bimanual arm trainer
A bimanual arm trainer that provides therapeutic bimanual repetitive exercise to improve upper body movement and flexibility has a top support that is elevated relative to a ground surface. The trainer further includes: (a) first and second arm holders that are pivotable relative to the top support; and (b) first and second arm holder housings that are pivotably coupled to the top support and can be moved into a plurality of different positions and locked in place in one of the plurality of different positions relative to the top support. The first arm holder is pivotably coupled to the first arm holder and the second arm holder is pivotably coupled to the second arm holder. A reciprocating translation mechanism operatively connects the first and second arm holders such that the motion of one of the first and second arm holders is mirrored in the other of the first and second arm holders.
WEIGHTED PIVOT ARM APPARATUS AND METHODS OF USE
A weighted pivot arm apparatus attached to a weight rack component, comprising: a body having an upper end and a lower end and extending along longitudinal axis; an attachment point disposed on the body comprising at least one wing with a hole therethrough and wherein the attachment point is rotatably mounted to the weight rack component; and, an impact bumper disposed on a lower end of the body.
Adjustment device for exercise apparatuses
An adjustment device for exercise apparatuses which comprises a flange, a coupling body coupled to the flange by a pressure bar, an adjustment protrusion and a pressure pin, a coupling ring through which the coupling body is passed, a vertical arm connected to the coupling body so as to be adjusted in the back and forth direction and rotationally, and a coupling arm connected to the vertical arm.
Chair-based workout apparatus and methods
A workout system is provided that includes a piece of furniture having at least a backrest and a seat. A chair workout machine is provided coupled to the piece of furniture. The chair workout machine includes a support frame coupled to at least one structure of the piece of furniture. At least one rotatable arm is rotatably attached to the support frame. One or more resistance elements are coupled to the at least one rotatable arm, where the resistance elements arranged to provide resistance to movement by at least one body part of a user.
Abdominal exercise apparatus
An exercise apparatus for performing an abdominal exercise comprising: a frame, a seat having a seating surface (PS) and a pelvic stabilization pad having a lower back engagement surface (ES), an input arm assembly interconnected by a first interconnection to a first resistance mechanism, the input arm assembly including a manually graspable mechanism for manual engagement by a user along a path of travel forwardly away from the pelvic stabilization pad.
Exercise machine arm with single-handed adjustment
An exercise device includes a resistance unit having a connecting gear. It further includes a cable. It further includes an arm that routes the cable to an actuator. The arm is rotatable relative to the resistance unit about the connecting gear, the arm having a central axis. The arm includes a control that mechanically disengages a locking mechanism from the connecting gear. The control is activated by an activation force substantially directed either toward the central axis of the arm, along a length of the arm, or about the central axis. The activation force is mechanically converted into linear force along the arm that disengages the locking mechanism from the connecting gear.
RESISTANCE EXERCISE DEVICE
A bidirectional rotational resistance assembly is provided. The assembly includes a lever coupled to the one or more discs so that a first torque imparted in a first rotational direction on the lever determines a rate of change of each disc's angular momentum in the first rotational direction in such a way as to oppose a second torque imparted in a second rotational direction on the lever, wherein the first and second rotational directions are opposites.
Gymnastic machine for training the trunk muscles, comprising improved levers
The present invention concerns a gymnastic machine (1) for training the trunk muscles and shoulder cingulum comprising a frame (2) for resting said gymnastic machine (1) on the ground or on a base, a first lever (4), comprising a first handle (42) which can be gripped by the user, coupled to said frame (2) in a first fixed fulcrum (41) and capable of rotating around said first fixed fulcrum (41) according to a first direction of rotation (R), from a first position to a second position, a second lever (5), comprising a second handle (52) which can be gripped by the user, coupled to said frame (2) in a second fixed fulcrum (51) and capable of rotating around said second fixed fulcrum (51) according to a second direction of rotation (R), opposite to said first direction of rotation (R), from a first position to a second position, a resistant device (7, 7) capable of opposing a resistance during the movement of said first (4) and second (5) lever from said first position to said second position, a transmission turn system (6) capable of connecting said first (4) and second (5) lever to said resistant device (7, 7), wherein said first lever (4) comprises a first reference element (44), arranged so that, when the user grips said first handle (42), said first reference element (44) extends below the forearm of the user, in order to act as a reference for the position in which keeping the arm during the execution of the exercise, and said second lever (5) comprises a second reference element (54), arranged so that, when the user grips said second handle (2), said second reference element (54) extends below the forearm of the user, in order to act as a reference of the position in which keeping the arm during the execution of the exercise.
Weight exercise machine
The present invention relates to a weight exercise machine and training methods for development and strengthening of muscles and joints with exercises aimed for overcoming a counteracting force with or without measuring equipment, more specifically, to training devices and training methods with the eccentric phase of the training. The weight exercise machine comprises a frame bearing a seat for a user, the seat fastened to the frame; a touch screen connected with a control unit for controlling training modes and monitoring training parameters; an actuator controlled by the control unit; and an interface interacting with the user.
