A method for simultaneously thermally degrading different waste differently in a single chamber, comprising filling each container within a plurality of containers with preselected waste and placing each container within the chamber at preselected positions; establishing a controlled atmosphere within the chamber and applying heat to the waste for a time and at a temperature sufficient to gasify the waste; collecting thermal degradation data during gasification; and applying the collected data to an algorithm to adjust the temperature and oxygen concentrations for each preselected position.
High-efficiency clean burning method and device of macromolecular substance
A high-efficiency clean burning method of a macromolecular substance, wherein the macromolecular substance comprises biomass and solid organic waste; the method comprises the following steps: generating a first gaseous substance and a red-hot carbon residue layer from biomass carbon residue or charcoal or coke or a mixture thereof by anoxic combustion; leading the heat generated by anoxic combustion to the macromolecular substance, preheating and drying the macromolecular substance and carrying out pyrolysis gasification, so as to generate a second gaseous substance; taking red-hot carbon residue as a pyrolysis catalyst, leading the second gaseous substance to the red-hot carbon residue layer to carry out oxygen catalytic cracking, so as to generate a third gaseous substance; leading the third gaseous substance and the first gaseous substance to an oxygen-enriched combustion zone in a heat preservation manner to carry out oxygen-enriched combustion, so as to achieve substantial complete combustion of all gasification products, wherein a tar wastewater is not generated, and pollution of smoke tar is not generated. A device capable of achieving the method comprises four categories of a plurality of devices. Thus, zero emission of dioxin can be achieved when the device is applied to waste incineration disposal.
SORBENT CONTAINING ENGINEERED FUEL FEED STOCK
Disclosed are novel engineered fuel feed stocks, feed stocks produced by the described processes, methods of making the fuel feed stocks, methods of producing energy from the fuel feed stocks. Components derived from processed MSW waste streams can be used to make such feed stocks which are substantially free of glass, metals, grit and noncombustibles and contain a sorbent. These feed stocks are useful for a variety of purposes including as gasification and combustion fuels. In addition, one or more sorbents can be added to the feed stocks in order to reduce the amount of a variety of pollutants present in traditional fuel and feed stocks, including, but not limited, sulfur and chlorine. Further, these feed stocks with added sorbent can mitigate corrosion, improve fuel conversion, extend power generating plant lifetime, reduce ash slagging, and reduced operating temperature.
Waste processing
This invention provides a system (10) for generating energy from waste material. The system comprises a first batch processing oven (12) for generating syngas and a second batch processing oven (14) for generating syngas. At least one thermal treatment chamber (20) heats the syngas after it is produced, and an energy converter (22) converts energy from the syngas to electrical energy.
Fluid injection nozzle for fluid bed reactors
A feed injector for a circulating fluid bed reactor is fitted with a discharge nozzle with a circular, radially notched discharge orifice to improve the surface-to-volume ratio of the spray pattern formed by the nozzle. The feed injector is useful for injecting fluids into various types of circulating fluid bed reactors in which good contact between the components of the fluidized bed and the injected fluid is required. It is particularly useful in fluid coking reactors.
Process and device for improving of synthesis and/or flue gas velocity field for refuse derived fuel applications
Process and device for improving of synthesis and/or flue gas velocity field solves technical problem of local increase of velocity and resulting non-homogeneous flue gas field resulting in uneven temperature and concentration distribution within flue gas field by providing for homogenization of flue gas field using strategically placed obstacles in the flow field such as flaps or similar devices.
Method and apparatus for treating combustible substance
A treatment method and apparatus is provided to effectively use a combustible waste such as waste plastic, waste tires, rice husk, wood shavings, PKS, RDF and sludge while maintaining stable operation; to improve the combustion efficiency of a fossil fuel such as coal and coke; and furthermore to reduce the NOx concentration in a cement kiln exhaust gas. An apparatus 1 for treating a combustible, the apparatus comprising: a mixer 3 for mixing a combustible C with a preheated raw material R2, which has a temperature of 600 C. or higher and 900 C. or lower and which is drawn from a preheater cyclone of a cement burning device 10, to gasify the combustible; and a feeder 5 for feeding the gasified combustible and the preheated raw material (mixed raw material M) to a region from an inlet end 13a of the cement burning device to a calciner 12. When the combustible and the preheated raw material are mixed, moisture may be added to cause water gas shift reaction, and the resultant water gas and the preheated raw material may be introduced to the region from the inlet end of the cement burning device to the calciner.
BURNER TUBE
A system and method uses a combustor and gasifier to burn a primary dirty fuel, such as waste materials or high-polluting fossil fuels, and a secondary low-polluting fuel, such as biomass fuels, for co-generation of electricity while reducing harmful emissions. The primary fuel is burned at least partially through the use of an improved burner tube. Dirty exhaust from a combustor is scrubbed by a gasifier by reforming the combustors exhaust gases into a clean-burning producer gas (syn-gas). The secondary fuel and oxygen are added to the dirty exhaust in the gasifier to create gas, char and ash. The gas powers an engine or turbine that turns a generator, or a boiler, Stirling engine, or Organic Rankine Cycle power plant, and releases a cleaner exhaust.
