A combustion/carbonizing system which comprises a base frame and a combustion chamber frame which is pivotably attached to the base frame. The combustion chamber frame defines an open top combustion chamber having a bottom perforated plate. A plenum is formed below the perforated plate for collecting biochar which passes therethrough. A first source of combustion air is supplied across the top of the combustion chamber while a second source of combustion air passes through the perforated plate into the combustion chamber. The combustion/carbonizing system is capable of operating in a continuous manner for combustion wood or waste material to the desired degree required by the end user for the purpose of reducing the volume of the material as well as the associated emissions while generating valuable char and boichar as an end product. For some applications, the combustion/carbonizing system may be operated to combust completely the wood or waste material.

WASTE-TO-ENERGY CONVERSION SYSTEM

A pyrolysis waste-to-energy conversion system has a muffle furnace housing a rotating retort drum within the furnace and having an inlet sleeve and an outlet sleeve extending through inlet and outlet ends of the muffle furnace. A rotating retort drum drive applies rotary drive to the inlet rotating retort drum sleeves and an in-feed auger is within a tube within the inlet sleeve. An out-feed auger is within a tube within the outlet sleeve and arranged to deliver char and pyrolysis syngas to a char processing system and a syngas processing system. The inlet sleeve and said outlet sleeve are arranged to provide a gas seal to prevent air ingress or syngas egress to and from the rotating retort drum. A gas cleaning system has a cracking tower arranged to retain inlet gas at an elevated temperature for a residence time, and a gas quench and scrubber system.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR WASTE COMBUSTION

A toxic waste incinerator is capable of enhanced combustion of hazardous waste (oil contaminated sand, human waste, garbage, etc.) utilizing immersed non-combustible and thermally conductive objects for increasing heat feedback from the flames to the unburned fuel, while air inlets are used to optimize the air entrainment rate to enhance the burning efficiency. The burning rate of a fluidic mass such as a sand-oil mixture is enhanced using immersed conductive objects (copper rods) which enable rapid heat-up of the flame exposed to the upper surface of the rod and transmits heat back into the sand. Consequent conduction of heat to the porous media through the lower portion of the immersed rod significantly increases vaporization and therefore the burning rate. Incineration may be performed on a transient, exigent basis as with hazardous waste and oil spills, or as part of a permanent fixture for receiving an ongoing waste stream.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR INCINERATION OF COMBUSTIBLE WASTE DURING THE MANUFACTURE OF CEMENT CLINKER
20260055025 · 2026-02-26 ·

The present invention relates to a method for incineration of combustible waste during the manufacture of cement clinker where cement raw meal is preheated and calcined in a preheater (1) with a calciner (3), burned into clinker in a kiln (5) and cooled in a subsequent clinker cooler (7), in which method the waste is incinerated in a separate compartment (9) subject to simultaneous supply of hot air, the exhaust gases produced during the waste incineration process being vented to the preheater for heating the cement raw meal, and the slag generated during the waste incineration process being extracted from the compartment, the waste is introduced via a waste inlet (11) onto a supporting surface (21) incorporated in the compartment (9) and in that, during incineration, the waste is transported through the compartment to the outlet (23) of the compartment along a circular path, characterized in that the compartment (9) is arranged at a distance from said calciner (3) or a preheater tower by means of a material chute (40), said material chute (40) enters a downward sloping duct, said duct carries exit gas from said compartment (9) and non-combustible material from waste fuel firing in said compartment (9) down into the calciner or preheater tower.
