ABDOMINAL EXERCISE DEVICE
The presently disclosed subject matter is generally directed to a device for use in exercising and strengthening the body of a user, particularly the user's abdominal and core region. The device comprises a support member that is operably joined to a connector. The support member includes a main body that is planar in design, and a lip that includes one or more elements for providing a releasable pairing to the connector. The support member is positioned between two surfaces (such as a mattress and a box spring) to anchor the device in place. The connector secures a user's legs in position so that sit-ups or other exercises can be performed, e.g., while the user is sitting or lying in bed. The device therefore enables a wide variety of users to perform sit-ups and various other exercises with less effort and less stress on the body compared to prior art devices.
EXERCISE DEVICE
An exercise device includes a base member configured for engaging a surface of a mounting structure, a coupling system for coupling the base member to the structure, and at least one resistance member coupled to the base member. Each of the at least one resistance members includes a control member configured to be manipulated by a portion of a user. The mounting structure includes a first surface and an oppositely arranged second surface with the first surface facing towards the user and the second surface configured to engage the base member. The configuration of the base member relative to the mounting structure allows for at least a portion of a force applied to one of the resistance members to be transferred to the mounting structure.
Portable exercise device
An exercise device includes an adjustable strap to secure the device to a free standing object, such as a piece of furniture having two sections. The strap includes hook fabric portions and a loop fabric portion to adjust to a desired length to fit within the sections of the furniture. The exercise device also includes oval rings to attach to the strap at ends thereof. Each oval ring includes a bar located in its center to engage the strap. The position of the oval rings is secured against the furniture. Attachments for exercising, such as exercise bands, are attached to the oval rings so that a user operates the exercise device as needed, then disassembles the device for storage or to use elsewhere.
PERSON SUPPORT APPARATUS HAVING EXERCISE THERAPY FEATURES
A person support apparatus includes a support surface having a patient facing surface and includes a head section, a seat section, and a foot section, the head section and the foot section being rotatable with respect to the seat section. One or more actuators are provided to rotate the head section and the foot section with respect to the seat section. At least one strain gauge is provided proximate the patient facing surface of the support surface to detect a change in pressure against at least one of the head section and the foot section. A controller is configured to transmit a signal to one or more of the actuators to rotate a corresponding one of the head section or the foot section in response to receiving data from the at least one strain gauge indicating a change in pressure that exceeds a predetermined reduction in pressure.
EXERCISE PLATFORM AND ACCESSORIES SYSTEM
An exercise platform and accessories system is provided. The exercise platform is configured with a plurality of attachment mechanisms adapted to connect one or more hardware accessories to the platform. The system provides a fully configurable system for isolating and relaxing specific musculoskeletal groups during use.
Flexure tube exercise device
An exercise device includes a first anchor tube, a first flex tube, a first resistance coupler, and a first stiffener. The first anchor tube is configured to be anchored between two substantially fixed surfaces. The first flex tube is configured to provide resistance against and in response to manual flexing of the first flex tube. The first resistance coupler comprises a resilient material and is configured to attach the first flex tube to the first anchor tube. The first resistance coupler is made from a resilient material that provides resistance against and in response to manual manipulation of the first anchor tube and the first flex tube relative to each other. The first stiffener rod is sized to be inserted within the first flex tube to increase resistance required for manual manipulation.
PATIENT BED HAVING EXERCISE THERAPY APPARATUS
A patient support apparatus may include a frame. A control module may be positioned on the frame. A graphical user interface may be in communication with the control module. An exercise apparatus may be coupled to the frame and may be in communication with the control module.
Bed exercise apparatus
An exercise apparatus that may be used in a bed, primarily for stretching and resistance exercises. The exercise apparatus may be configured with a lower frame and an upper frame. The lower frame is disposed between and connected to a bed frame and a headboard. The upper frame is connected to the lower frame and has exercise equipment attachment couplers.
Portable Exercise Support Platform
Embodiments of the present invention comprise a portable exercise platform allowing users to exercise on hard or soft substrates comprising two or more panels wherein said at least two panels are connected at one end by at least one hinging device allowing said panels to lay flat or fold into proximity to each other and said panels are configured with a top and bottom surface such that the top surface is designed to support a user and the bottom surface is designed to contact the substrate when the platform is lying flat. Aspects of the present invention include methods of manufacture and use of the same.
Bed with exercise function
A bed with an exercise function includes: an upper exercise arm which is embedded in an insertion groove formed in a front surface or peripheral part of the head part, has a horizontal bar and leg parts extending downward from both ends of the horizontal bar, and is rotatable to protrude forward by a rotary support part provided at a lower end of the leg part; and a rotation stopping part which is coupled to the upper exercise arm and stops rotation of the upper exercise arm in a state in which the upper exercise arm protrudes forward at a predetermined angle.
