Portable exercise device for resistance exercises
A portable exercise device comprising of a base with a plurality of apertures and at least one resistance member threaded through the apertures and with both ends of the resistance member available for gripping by the user during performance of resistance exercises. A device that is flexible, comfortable, light weight and with ease of use provides multiple strengthening, stretching or physical therapy resistance exercises for the chest, shoulders, back, arms, abdominal and leg muscles. The exercise device can be used at home, the office or in a hotel room and unattached on any couch, chair, bed, wheel chair or vehicle seat. With the portable exercise device of the present invention the user can get an upper body, abdominal or leg workout in a minimal amount of time.
Abdominal exercise assembly
An abdominal exercise assembly for exercising abdominal muscles includes a plate that is rigid. The plate has a first end that is configured to insert between a mattress and a box spring of a bed. A second end of the plate is positioned proximate to an edge of the bed. A support is slidably coupled to the second end. The support is configured to position proximate to and parallel to the edge of the bed. A bar, coupled to the support distal from the plate, extends bidirectionally from the support in parallel with the second end of the plate. The bar is configured to be selectively vertically positioned relative to the plate. The plate is retained in a substantially horizontal configuration by a combination of the weight of the mattress and a user positioned on the mattress. The bar is configured to selectively position legs of a user.
Pedal exerciser mounting frame and related assemblies and methods
A mounting frame for releasably securing a pedal exerciser to a table is disclosed. The mounting frame includes a frame assembly having a pair of generally opposed end members dimensioned to extend across an upper surface of the table and configured to receive feet of the pedal exerciser, and a pair of generally opposed side members connected to the pair of generally opposed end members at corresponding ends thereof, so as to cooperatively define a central aperture therewith with the pair of generally opposed side members configured to engage opposite sides of the table. The frame assembly further includes a first strap dimensioned to extend across the central aperture and engage the pair of generally opposed side members so as to releasably secure the table therebetween.
Method and apparatus for monitoring compliance with physical therapy regimes
A system for monitoring use of knee joint flexibility rehabilitation apparatus comprises a knee joint flexibility rehabilitation apparatus, a sensor and a monitor configured to receive and display a signal from the sensor.
PHYSICAL EXERCISE DEVICE
A physical exercise device includes a base frame positionable generally horizontally on a floor surface, an upright frame connected to the base frame, the upright frame rising from the base frame and having a grip portion above the base frame, and a cushion disposed on the base frame and below the grip portion, a distance between the cushion and the grip portion being such that a user is able to lie on the cushion and grasp the grip portion with at least one hand.
EXERCISE MACHINE
An exercise machine has a mobile base and an upright support extending upwards from the mobile base. An upper support assembly extends forward from an upper portion of the upright support and an exercise device is suspended from the upper support assembly at a location spaced forward from the upright support. The exercise machine may include a compact and safe counterbalancing gas spring mechanism that tends to move the exercise device away from the exerciser, and that requires a force to be applied to move an exercise device down towards the exerciser. The exercise machine may include an exercise device that is rotatable along a vertical axis, and may be coupled to an adjustable monitor for a wide range of uses. The exercise machine may be used by a exerciser lying supine, sitting in a chair or wheelchair, or standing in front of or adjacent the exercise machine.
Method and Apparatus for Monitoring Compliance with Physical Therapy Regimes
A system for monitoring use of knee joint flexibility rehabilitation apparatus comprises a knee joint flexibility rehabilitation apparatus, a sensor and a monitor configured to receive and display a signal from the sensor
PORTABLE EXERCISE DEVICE
An exercise device includes an adjustable strap to secure the device to a free standing object, such as a piece of furniture having two sections. The strap includes hook fabric portions and a loop fabric portion to adjust to a desired length to fit within the sections of the furniture. The exercise device also includes oval rings to attach to the strap at ends thereof. Each oval ring includes a bar located in its center to engage the strap. The position of the oval rings is secured against the furniture. Attachments for exercising, such as exercise bands, are attached to the oval rings so that a user operates the exercise device as needed, then disassembles the device for storage or to use elsewhere.
Bed exercise systems and methods
In an example, a bed exercise system includes a foot pad and first and second elastic connectors. The foot pad includes a rigid support member. The first elastic connector has a first end coupled to a first lateral side of the foot pad and a second end for coupling to a support structure. The second elastic connector has a first end coupled to a second lateral side of the foot pad and a second end coupling to the support structure. When the second ends of the first and second elastic connectors are coupled to the support structure: (i) the foot pad is movable between a first position and a second position relative to the support structure, and (ii) a tension on the first elastic connector and a tension on the second elastic connector increases as the foot pad moves from the first position to the second position.
ACTIVE EXERCISE APPARATUS FOR LOWER LIMBS
The present invention is intended to provide an active exercise apparatus for lower limbs that allows a user to perform on a floor lower limb active exercise highly effective in preventing thrombosis. An active exercise apparatus for lower limbs 10 includes, for example, a base body 1; a shaft 2 fixed to the base body 1 such that a central axis is vertical to the surface of the base body 1; arms 3a and 3b that are rotatably attached to the shaft 2 and are extended in two directions at an equal angle with respect to the central axis of the shaft 2; sole support plates 4a and 4b that are attached to leading ends of the arms 3a and 3b and rotatable by rotation axes x.sub.1 and x.sub.2 parallel to the surface of the base body 1 and the rotation axes z.sub.1 and z.sub.2 vertical to the surface of the base body 1; and reaction force exertion members that are installed on the back surfaces of the sole support plates 4a and 4b to exert a reaction force on backward rotation by rotation axes x.sub.1 and x.sub.2 parallel to the surface of the base body 1.
