Microwave Assisted Pyrolysis and Gasification
A method and system for converting an aqueous salt containing sludge into gases and a solid residue is described. The sludge is pyrolyzed and gasified with the assistance of microwave radiation.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR REDUCING VOLUME OF SEWAGE SLUDGE
The present invention relates to system and method for reducing the volume of sewage sludge, the system comprises a dryer adapted to receive the sewage sludge and a drying gas and produce a mixture comprising a dried sludge component and a gaseous component therefrom. The system further comprises a solid-gas separator for separating the dried sludge component from the gaseous component. The system further comprises a hot air generator connected to said solid-gas separator and the dryer, and adapted to receive a feed gas and at least a portion of said dried sludge component from the solid-gas separator to combust the dried sludge component to produce a heat of combustion and convert, using the heat of combustion, the feed gas to drying gas for supply to the dryer.
ENERGY-SAVING SLUDGE DRYING DISPOSAL SYSTEM
An energy-saving sludge drying disposal system is provided. The disposal system includes a vacuum heating unit, an incinerating unit, a vacuum cooling unit and a molten salt heat exchanging unit. The vacuum cooling unit includes a high-temperature gas inlet, a condensed water outlet, a low-temperature gas outlet, a low-temperature liquid inlet and a medium-temperature liquid outlet. The high-temperature gas inlet of the vacuum cooling unit is connected with the vacuum heating unit. The incinerating unit includes an incinerator, an incineration gas inlet, a combustion-supporting gas inlet, a flue gas discharge outlet, a cold molten salt inlet and a hot molten salt outlet. The incineration gas inlet is connected with the low-temperature gas outlet of the vacuum cooling unit. The molten salt heat exchanging unit includes a cold molten salt outlet, a hot molten salt inlet, a medium-temperature liquid inlet and a high-temperature liquid outlet.
Solid fuel burning-furnace having a vertically mounted cylindrical combustion chamber
A ground supported power boiler is described combining a refractory lined and insulated conical floor; an insulated cylindrical combustion chamber; a cylindrical furnace with water tube wall; a rectangular convective section; a single vertical steam drum; tangential injection of the fuel and combustion air; means for fluidizing the fuel bed; means for selectively stripping particulates from the flue gases; multi-stage particulate stripping and filtering from flue gases, means for using the walls of steam drum as steam/water droplet separator, means for recirculating and capturing heat from the flue gases; means for pressurizing the interior of the boiler above atmospheric pressure; means for heating and drying fuel prior to feeding the fuel to the boiler; means for creating hydrogen shift reaction; means for eliminating any need for sootblowing; and designed to not require the use of an induced draft fan.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR CONTROLLING CARBON BURN OUT
Systems and methods for beneficiating a recovered fly ash material and/or recovering fly ash from an impound site are described. The method may include thermally treating a first portion of a recovered fly ash material to form a thermally treated fly ash having a first temperature of at least 1000 F., and contacting the thermally treated fly ash with a second portion of the recovered fly ash material to cool the thermally treated fly ash to a second temperature of less than or equal to 500 F. and form a fly ash product. The fly ash product may have a carbon content less than 8% by weight, based on the total dry weight of the fly ash product.
Non-polluting Biomass Waste Processor, Components and Processes for Use by a Municipality, Industrial, Forestry and/or Agricultural Facility
Implementations of a non-polluting biomass processor, and manufactured processor components are disclosed which at least partly address the local technical problems of a municipality, business, and/or organization, to generate non-polluting emissions, while generating at least one, often two or more, product outputs from biomass feedstocks input into the biomass processor. Examples of the operations of the biomass processor and various combinations of its manufactured processor components are disclosed. The product outputs may include carbon char and/or activated carbon, both of which may be used to increase water retention in climates with hot, dry summers and/or used to remediate water pollution in water reservoirs.
Method for the hydrothermal carbonisation of a biomass and associated device
Disclosed is a method for heating a biomass moving along an industrial treatment line including an inlet (91) for the incoming biomass, a pressure pump (93), a heating unit (94) and a treatment station (95). According to an embodiment, steam is injected into the line between the pressure pump (93) and the heating unit (94) such as to pre-heat the biomass by condensing the steam.
High protein organic materials as fuel and processes for making the same
A process of making a fuel product from a non-combustible high protein organic material such as a waste material. The high protein organic material is pulverized to a particle size whose particle size less than 2 mm. The moisture content of the high protein organic material is mechanically reduced and dried to reduce the moisture content to less than ten percent (10%). The high protein organic waste material is fed into a combustion chamber and separated during combustion such as by spraying of the high protein organic waste material within the combustion chamber. Temperature and combustion reactions within the combustion chamber may be controlled by injection of steam within the combustion chamber.
