APPARATUS FOR MONITORING LEVEL OF ASSIST GAS TO INDUSTRIAL FLARE
A remote sensing system which may be assembled with an Infrared (IR) sensor, or a plurality of IR sensors, disposed to sense IR radiance emitted as combustion products from a flare stack in two distinctive spectral bands, each band having a narrow spectral bandpass, the sensor being radiometrically calibrated to sense transmission characteristics of the two distinctive bands of the radiance from flare combustion gases; and an analyzer driven by a microcontroller, coupled to the IR sensor, to operationally respond in real time by generating an indication of flare stack's performance through a parameter derived from a ratio of the transmission characteristics of the two radiance outputs sensed by the IR sensor. The IR sensor of this flare monitoring-apparatus must be positioned in such a way that the anticipated entire flame will be captured within the Field of View (FoV) of the IR sensor, or sensors.
EMISSION MONITORING OF FLARE SYSTEMS
Systems and methods for monitoring emissions of a combusted gas are provided. The method includes determining a first net heating value of a flare gas. The method also includes determining a second net heating value of a combustion gas including the flare gas. The second net heating value can be determined based upon the first net heating value and a volumetric flow rate of the flare gas. Based upon the value of the second net heating value, an empirical model or a non-parametric machine learning model can be selected. A combustion efficiency of the combustion gas can be determined using the selected model, the second net heating value, and selected ones of the process conditions and the environmental conditions. Total emissions of the combustion mixture can be further determined from the combustion efficiency and a volumetric flow rate of the combustion gas.

The distribution space has a shut-off device and a bypass line for at least one distribution space segment, the shut-off device being configured such that a partial volume flow can be diverted from the associated heat exchanger segment via the bypass line instead of through the exhaust gas passage opening or/and the clean gas passage opening.
Method and apparatus for treating exhaust gas
The present disclosure relates to a method for treating exhaust gas including a plasma reaction operation of reacting exhaust gas containing a volatile organic compound (VOC) with low-temperature plasma to generate exhaust gas containing a VOC-derived intermediate, and a combustion operation of combusting the exhaust gas containing the VOC-derived intermediate to produce carbon dioxide and water.
Variable feed enclosed combustor system and method for its use
Disclosed herein are systems, apparatuses, and methods for using a sensed combustion zone temperature to continuously control combustion of a first (main) gas within an enclosed combustor. The combustor is in fluid communication with a first gas line carrying the first gas, a second gas line independent of the first gas line carrying a second (assist) gas having a higher heating value than the first gas, and air dampers providing draft or assist air. The first gas may be vapors from a production source or tank. A computer control system monitors the combustion zone temperature of the enclosed combustor as sensed by a sensor in electronic communication with the computer control system and controls the combustion zone temperature by changing a condition of a first gas line valve of the first gas line, a second gas line valve of the second gas line, and the air dampers.

Each channel is configured to route a gas from a source to a mixing chamber where the gasses are mixed and burned.
System and method to prevent the oxidizer overheating using cold side bypass for a VOCs treatment system with series rotor
The instant disclosure described a system and method to prevent the oxidizer overheating using cold side bypass for a VOCs treatment system with series rotor, which may be used in an organic waste air treatment system. The system is equipped with a Thermal Oxidizer (TO), a First Heat Exchanger, a Second Heat Exchanger, a third heat exchanger, a First Cold-Side Transporting Pipeline, a First Adsorption Rotor, a Second Adsorption Rotor, and a Chimney. There is a Cold-Side Proportional Damper installed between the First Desorption-Treated Air Pipeline and the First Cold-Side Transporting Pipeline, or it is installed on the First Desorption-Treated Air Pipeline. When the VOCs concentration becomes higher, the Cold-Side Proportional Damper can regulate the airflow to adjust the heat-recovery amount or concentration, when treating the organic waste air, it can prevent the TO from being overheated due to high oxidizer temperature, and protect it from Thermal Oxidizer shut-down.
