Exercise grip
An exercise grip is disclosed. The exercise grip includes a protective portion and a wrist strap connected to a wrist end of the protective portion. The protective portion has a finger end in which three or four finger holes are defined. The protective portion also has a palm portion that extends from the finger holes to the wrist end. The protective portion varies in width from the wrist end to the finger end. The protective portion can be formed to cover an ulnar portion of a wrist when placed on a hand.
Mechanical lower limb assistive device
A variety of implementations, building off one another, of a device that mechanically provides energy to muscles used throughout the gait cycle. The mechanical power is provided by elastic bands, or similar material. The different implementations presented introduce more components which provide adjustability in many aspects of the device including how it fits the user, increasing comfort for the user, and providing customized tension levels, thus customized assistance, in the different segments of the device thus to the different muscle groups in the lower extremity.
Methods and apparatus for body weight support system
A body weight support system includes a trolley, a powered conductor operative coupled to a power supply, and a patient attachment mechanism. The trolley can include a drive system, a control system, and a patient support system. The drive system is movably coupled to a support rail. At least a portion of the control system is physically and electrically coupled to the powered conductor. The patient support mechanism is at least temporarily coupled to the patient attachment mechanism. The control system can control at least a portion of the patient support mechanism based at least in part on a force applied to the patient attachment mechanism.
METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR BODY WEIGHT SUPPORT SYSTEM
A body weight support system includes a trolley, a powered conductor operatively coupled to a power supply, and a patient attachment mechanism.
WEIGHTED GARMENT
The present invention relates to a weighted garment which allows a user to incrementally add weights to such garment, the weighted garment comprising (a) a support structure with an outer surface and an inner surface; and (b) a plurality of weight cells disposed in a plurality of weight cell pockets which are disposed on the support structure and aligned with specific muscle groups. Such a weighted garment may also comprise at least one physical treatment modality selected from the group consisting of heat, cooling, and electrical current. The weight cells are strategically placed on the support structure to align the body and gradually develop and safely increase strength while preventing injury; maximizing balance, strength, and development of the muscles and connective tissue in the body; and allowing the user to move, without movement impedance.
Aquatic Exercise Device
A fin assembly for aqua resistance exercise comprises a strap having an inner strap and an outer strap, and with fastener(s) provided to an outside of the inner strap and an inside of the outer strap to releasably attach the inner and outer straps together. One or more fins are received on the outer strap and a longitudinal position of the one or more fins is secured by engagement of the inner strap to the outer strap. The length of the inner strap is longer than a length of the outer strap, so that an extending end portion of the outer strap can overlap and engage an opposite end of the outer strap to secure the fin assembly about the user's limb.
FLEXIBLE SPORTING APPARATUS DESCRIPTION
A flexible sporting apparatus includes an elongated and flexible body (2), which can be gripped, connected to the body of a person or connected to another identical or different apparatus, wherein the body (2) includes at least one flexible connection element (10, 11, 12) extending between a first end (3) and a second end (4) of the body (2), at least for a part of its length, a plurality of masses (20, 21, 22), distributed between the first end (3) and the second end (4) of the body (2), joined integrally to the at least one connection element (10, 11, 12) so that their position, in the direction of the length of the body, is maintained substantially unchanged when the apparatus is moved or bent; and optionally a containment element (30) that surrounds the at least on connection element (10, 11, 12) and the masses (20, 21, 22).
Material for Enhancing the Effects of Exercise
A compressible material is provided for use with athletic equipment and apparel for enhancing the effects of physical exercise for a person. The material can include one or more compression members that extend from shoes, insoles for shoes, exercise gloves, wraps for exercise equipment, exercise mat or floor covering, headbands, socks, exercise garments, free weights and sports helmets. The compression members can be made of one or more of rubber, thermoplastic rubber, foam rubber, polyurethane rubber, silicone rubber, thermoplastic resin and thermoplastic elastomer. Positioning the compressible material such that it is between the user and any surface for example when exercising, requires the person to maintain balance while performing the exercise by using other muscles that would not ordinarily be used during the exercise, and provides proprioceptive feedback to the person's central nervous system.
Concept2 Ergometer End Cap Adapter
The Adapter is an aluminum replacement part for the Concept 2 rowing machine. It replaces the plastic end cap at the upper end of the box frame. Attachment is achieved with pre-existing bolts on the machine. The adapter provides a safe and secure attachment point on the Concept 2 rowing ergometer for coaches/trainers/athletes to attach a 1 tie-down strap used in teaching and training.
Strength and exercise apparatus
A mobile exercise apparatus performing physical exercises including lifting, pushing, and pulling is provided. The apparatus includes an exercise device having a planar elongated frame. The apparatus further includes a weight receiving portion configured to house one or more weights, a handle portion configured to enable a user to lift the exercise device while maintaining the position of the one or more weights, and a pulling portion configured to securing a pulling aid, wherein the elongated frame is bent at a curved portion at approximately a 90 degree angle.
