Exercise Machine Handle Indicia System
An exercise machine handle indicia system for facilitating efficient and proper exercise movements by an exerciser. The exercise machine handle indicia system generally includes a frame, a carriage movably positioned upon the frame, a bias member connected between the carriage and the frame that applies a bias force upon the carriage, and a first handle and a second handle connected to the frame near the first end of the frame. The first handle includes a first indicia to indicate where to position a first hand of an exerciser to perform a first exercise and the second handle includes a first indicia to indicate where to position a second hand of the exerciser to perform the first exercise. During the performance of an exercise, the exerciser is instructed by a human instructor or an electronic device which indicia on the handles to position their hands or other body parts.
Pedal exerciser mounting frame and related assemblies and methods
A mounting frame for releasably securing a pedal exerciser to a table is disclosed. The mounting frame includes a frame assembly having a pair of generally opposed end members dimensioned to extend across an upper surface of the table and configured to receive feet of the pedal exerciser, and a pair of generally opposed side members connected to the pair of generally opposed end members at corresponding ends thereof, so as to cooperatively define a central aperture therewith with the pair of generally opposed side members configured to engage opposite sides of the table. The frame assembly further includes a first strap dimensioned to extend across the central aperture and engage the pair of generally opposed side members so as to releasably secure the table therebetween.
Exercise machine carriage handle system
An exercise machine carriage handle system for providing handles for an exerciser to grasp with their hands thereby expanding the type of exercises that may be performed. The exercise machine carriage handle system generally includes a frame having a track, a carriage movably connected to the track, a bias member connected between the frame and the carriage, a first handle connected to the carriage near the first side, and a second handle connected to the carriage near the second side. The first handle and second handle are adapted for grasping with a first hand and a second hand respectively of a user during the performance of an exercise on the exercise machine.
EXERCISE MACHINE
An exercise machine has a mobile base and an upright support extending upwards from the mobile base. An upper support assembly extends forward from an upper portion of the upright support and an exercise device is suspended from the upper support assembly at a location spaced forward from the upright support. The exercise machine may include a compact and safe counterbalancing gas spring mechanism that tends to move the exercise device away from the exerciser, and that requires a force to be applied to move an exercise device down towards the exerciser. The exercise machine may include an exercise device that is rotatable along a vertical axis, and may be coupled to an adjustable monitor for a wide range of uses. The exercise machine may be used by a exerciser lying supine, sitting in a chair or wheelchair, or standing in front of or adjacent the exercise machine.
Exercise apparatus with eddy current rail
An apparatus and method operably coupled a movable member of an exercise apparatus to a carriage such a movement of the movable member moves the carriage along a rail. A magnetic portion carried by the carriage induces eddy currents in the rail to resist movement of the carriage along the rail to resist movement of the movable member.
Cycle-type exercise equipment conversion apparatus and methods of converting thereof
An apparatus for converting a cycle-type exercise machine into another type of exercise machine includes a stationary frame structure that attaches to a frame of the cycle-type exercise machine, a pair of swing arms pivotally coupled with the stationary frame structure, and a pair of coupler bars pivotally coupled with the pair of swing arms on one end and rotationally attached to a crank bar of the cycle-type exercise machine on an opposite end.
Systems And Methods For Facilitating Rehabilitation And Exercise
In one embodiment, an exercise system includes a user interface device sized and configured to fit within a user's hand, the user interface device including a microcontroller configured to control operation of the device, a first sensor configured to sense movements of the device, a second sensor configured to sense forces applied to the device, and a communication device configured to communicate data concerning the sensed movements and forces to a separate device.
Exercise machine and method for use in a supine position
An exercise machine has a mobile base and an upright support extending upwards from the mobile base. An upper support assembly extends forward from an upper portion of the upright support and an exercise device is suspended from the upper support assembly at a location spaced forward from the upright support. The mobile base has caster wheels and can be positioned from either side of a bed so as to extend partially under a bed with the upright support located on one side of the bed and the exercise device suspended over the bed in a position accessible by a patient lying supine in the bed for performing exercise. An anchoring system resists movement of the base for stability when exercise is performed.
RECUMBENT THERAPEUTIC AND EXERCISE DEVICE
Various embodiments related to a recumbent therapeutic and exercise device are provided herein. The recumbent therapeutic and exercise device includes a frame; a hand crank system coupled to the frame, the hand crank system including a hand crank rotatable by a user, wherein the hand crank is movable in a substantially vertical plane closer to and further from a support surface for the frame; and a foot crank system coupled to the frame, the foot crank system including a foot crank rotatable by the user, wherein the foot crank is movable in a substantially horizontal plane relative to the support surface for the fame.
