A joint seal system and method may include a seal and a band. The seal may be positioned between abutting flanges of two adjacent duct sections. A band may be positioned over the two flanges and the flange interface. The joint seal system and method may be configured to mitigate and/or eliminate leakage of pressure, flue gases, condensate, and/or any other fluid, gas, and/or vapor between abutting flanges of duct sections at a flange interface.

TANKLESS WATER HEATER CONNECTOR
20220120471 · 2022-04-21 ·

Disclosed herein are connectors for a tankless water heater. The connectors can comprise a flange, an aperture extending through the flange having a first diameter, one or more slots extending through the flange, a connector portion substantially surrounding the aperture and extending outward from the flange away from the tankless water heater. The aperture can correspond to an air inlet extending into the tankless water heater, and the air inlet can have a second diameter that is larger than the aperture. To keep the flange in place, the one or more slots can correspond to one or more fastening holes in the tankless water heater. The one or more slots can be substantially parallel and on opposite sides of the aperture. The connector can be in a secured state when the one or more slots are fastened to the one or more fastening holes.

Tension fit insulation

An exemplary insulator for a flue of a residential oven includes a bendable insulating body having a first end, a second end, and a bending portion. A first cut is disposed between the bending portion and the first end and a second cut is disposed between the bending portion and the second end. The first cut is expandable to form a first opening and the second cut is expandable to form a second opening.

Interchangeable seal head system

An interchangeable seal head system and method for connecting and disconnecting a tube coupler on a header delivery system is described.

Vent Attachment for a Tankless Water Heater

A vent attachment facilitates attaching a coaxial air intake and exhaust vent of a tankless water heater to a Category I vent, such as B-vent. The vent attachment comprises a first end with a coaxial connector comprising a central exhaust pathway and a circumferential air intake pathway. The vent attachment also comprises a second end with a tubular exhaust vent connector in fluid communication with the central exhaust pathway. The vent attachment further comprises a frame that encloses the central exhaust pathway and comprises a mesh configured to provide fluid communication through the frame with the air intake pathway. Additionally, operation of the tankless water heater is modified to ensure that the exhaust generated is suitable for venting through a Category I vent. The tankless water heater maintains a high fuel consumption rate such that the temperature of hot water produced increases throughout each of a plurality of burner stages.

Cross compatible adapter for chimney sections with different outer diameters

An adapter and adapter system for connecting a female end of a first chimney portion to a male end of a second chimney portion. The adapter includes a first radial adapter portion with a first inner surface and a first outer surface extending along a first axis and wherein the first inner surface and the first outer surface are substantially coaxial. The adapter further includes a first locking interface protruding outward from the first outer surface and configured to engage with a first locking interface of the first chimney portion and a second locking interface protruding inward from the first inner surface and configured to engage with a second interlocking interface of the second chimney. The first outer surface of the adapter is configured to be received within the female end of the first chimney portion and the inner surface is configured to receive the male end of the second chimney.
