Exercise machine with electromagnetic resistance selection

An exercise machine with electromagnetic resistance selection for changing exercise resistance settings by engaging more or fewer resistance biasing members using a electromagnets. An example implementation includes a movable carriage configured to move substantially along the length of one or more rails. A plurality of resistance biasing members are removably attachable between a stationary biasing member bracket affixed to the machine structure and the movable carriage. A controller changes the resistance settings against the movable carriage by electrically attaching or detaching any preferred number of resistance biasing members between the machine structure and movable carriage.

Exercise machine resistance adjustment system

An exercise machine resistance adjustment system for providing an exerciser the ability to immediately adjust the resistance force by changing their body position on the movable carriage or end platforms. The exercise machine resistance adjustment system generally includes a frame, a carriage movably positioned on the frame, a spring connected to the carriage to apply a biasing force to the carriage, one or more left projections within the carriage adapted for a left hand of an exerciser to grasp, and one or more right projections within the carriage adapted for a right hand of an exerciser to grasp. The exerciser is able to efficiently adjust the amount of resistance force applied to the carriage by repositioning their hands (or feet) from a first set of projections at a first distance to a second set of projections at a second distance from the first end of the exercise machine.

Exercise machines having a resistance fan that directs air for cooling a user

An exercise machine has a supporting frame; a resistance fan on the supporting frame, the resistance fan being configured to provide an amount of resistance to a user of the exercise machine; a housing enclosing the resistance fan, the housing having a plurality of openings through which air from the resistance fan is directed towards the user of the exercise machine; and a shroud on the housing. The shroud is movable with respect to the plurality of openings so as to redirect the air from the resistance fan without changing the amount of resistance provided to the user of the exercise machine.

EXERCISE DEVICE

An exercise device including a frame with a first crank assembly rotatably coupled to the frame about a first axis and a second crank assembly rotatably coupled to the frame about a second axis. A control system may be used in communication with the first crank assembly and the second crank assembly, which may provide a synchronous movement of the first crank assembly relative to the second crank assembly. A pedal arm may be provided with a first end pivotally coupled to the first crank assembly and a pedal positioned on a second end. A crank link may be used with one end coupled to the second crank assembly and a second end coupled to the pedal arm. The crank link may be movable on the pedal arm which may provide varying paths of motion of the pedals.

CLIMBING MACHINE STRUCTURE

The climbing machine structure includes a support frame, a first slide rail unit, a second slide rail unit, a first pedal, a second pedal, a first handle, a second handle, and a transmission unit. The first slide rail unit and the second slide rail unit are juxtaposed on the support frame. A first top end of the first slide rail unit and a second top end of the second slide rail unit are lower than an eye position of the operator in the height direction. Thereby, the line of sight of the operator won't be blocked.

A track exercise device with at least first and second substantially parallel tracks, and first, second, third, and fourth movable platforms. The first and third movable platforms are movable on the first track, and the second and fourth movable platforms are movable on the second track. Transverse attachments selectively and respectively attach the first and second movable platforms together on the first and second tracks and the third and fourth movable platforms together on the first and second tracks. Longitudinal attachments selectively and respectively attach the first and third movable platforms together on the first track and the second and fourth movable platforms together on the second track. A tilting adjustment selectively provides for inclined or flat movement of the first, second, third, and fourth movable platforms.

The present disclosure provides an elliptical crawler. The elliptical crawler includes a front support having an adjustable height and an assembly of elliptical rowing body having two extendible arm supports and two foot supports. Methods of making and using the elliptical crawler are also disclosed.

EXERCISE MACHINE

Described herein are embodiments of stationary exercise machines having reciprocating foot and/or hand members, such as foot pedals that move in a closed loop path. Some embodiments can include reciprocating foot pedals that cause a user's feet to move along a closed loop path that is substantially inclined, such that the foot motion simulates a climbing motion more than a flat walking or running motion. Some embodiments can further include reciprocating handles that are configured to move in coordination with the foot via a linkage to a crank wheel also coupled to the foot pedals. Variable resistance can be provided via a rotating air-resistance based mechanism, via a magnetism based mechanism, and/or via other mechanisms, one or more of which can be rapidly adjustable while the user is using the machine.

Tilting Exercise Machine

The present invention relates to the field of fitness training devices and exercise machines. More specifically, a substantially horizontal exercise machine comprising an exercise platform slidable along one or more rails aligned with the longitudinal axis of the machine structure, the slidable platform spring-biased towards one end of the machine, is tiltable to allow for one end of the machine to be raised or lowered relative to the opposed end of the machine.
