Exercise device providing user defined pedal movements
An exercise device for performing a variety of movement patterns. The exercise device has a pair of linkages, each including an upper link pivotally mounted to a frame and a lower link pivotally coupled to an upper link. A foot support is provided on a distal end of each lower link. A compression link interconnects the lower link to the frame. The compression link includes a shaft coupled to the lower link, a sleeve coupled to the frame and a spring captured between the shaft and the sleeve, whereby the spring provides a resistance to movement of the lower link relative to the frame.
Stationary exercise apparatus with variable foot path
An exercise apparatus includes a frame adapted to be rested on a floor surface, a crank mechanism that has two cranks mounted on the frame, two swing members pivotally mounted on the frame, two connecting assemblies, and a guiding device. Each of the two connecting assemblies has a plurality of connecting rods connecting the respective crank and the respective swing member. The two connecting assemblies define two pedal portions for supporting a user's feet, and up-and-down movement of the pedal portions causes rotation of the two cranks along a circular path. The guiding device is configured to connect the two swing members for guiding swing movement of the two swing members within a predetermined swing range. The predetermined swing range is adjustable so as to provide various exercise paths.
Exercise machine
Described herein are embodiments of stationary exercise machines having reciprocating foot and/or hand members, such as foot pedals that move in a closed loop path. Some embodiments can include reciprocating foot pedals that cause a user's feet to move along a closed loop path that is substantially inclined, such that the foot motion simulates a climbing motion more than a flat walking or running motion. Some embodiments can further include reciprocating handles that are configured to move in coordination with the foot via a linkage to a crank wheel also coupled to the foot pedals. Variable resistance can be provided via a rotating air-resistance based mechanism, via a magnetism based mechanism, and/or via other mechanisms, one or more of which can be rapidly adjustable while the user is using the machine.
Curved manual treadmill
A curved manual treadmill for the physical exercises of a user, comprising: a frame extending along a longitudinal direction; a first rotation shaft adapted to rotate around a respective first rotation axis transversal to the longitudinal direction of the frame; a second rotation shaft adapted to rotate around a respective second rotation axis transversal to the longitudinal direction of the frame; a physical exercise surface operatively connected to the first rotation shaft and to the second rotation shaft, so as to generate an endless closed physical exercise path, and a device for resisting the movement of the upper portion of the physical exercise surface operatively associated with at least either the first rotation shaft or the second rotation shaft.
Convertible mobile exerciser
The specification relates to a mobile exerciser. The mobile exerciser can include a mobile exerciser frame; a foot rest assembly attached to the mobile exerciser frame having a working position and a stored position; and a pedal assembly attached to the mobile exerciser frame having a working position and a stored position. The mobile exerciser can be converted from a push mode to a pedal mode by moving the foot rest assembly into a stored position and the pedal assembly into a working position and the mobile exerciser can be converted from a pedal mode to a push mode by moving the foot rest assembly into a working position and the pedal assembly into a stored position.
PEDAL ASSEMBLY FOR EXERCISE MACHINE
A stationary exercise machine according to the present disclosure may include a frame, a crankshaft rotatably supported by the frame, first and second lower linkages, and first and second crank arms connected to opposite sides of the crankshaft such that rotation of either of the crank arms causes rotation of the crankshaft. The lower linkages may be operatively connected to the crankshaft and to a respective one of first and second pedals. Each of the lower linkages may include a reciprocating member operatively connecting one of the pedals with one of the crank arms. Each of the lower linkages may include an adjustable linkage connected between the reciprocating member and the respective crank arm, the adjustable linkage may vary a distance between an output end of the reciprocating member and an input end of the crank arm. Each of the pedals may be pivotally connected to the respective reciprocating members.
Power generating manually operated treadmill
A manually operated treadmill includes a running belt defining a non-planar running surface, and an electrical power generator coupled to the running belt and adapted to convert rotational motion of the running belt into electrical power. A rotational speed of the running belt is controllable by a user's relative position longitudinally forward or rearward on the non-planar running surface.
Retractable cord system
This invention is directed toward a portable and easy to set up retractable cord system with means to allow athletes to move along specified routes and to form space indicators that show zone areas.
SACROILIAC JOINT EXERCISE ASSISTANCE DEVICE IN LATERAL DECUBITUS POSITION
An exercise assist device transitively moves a sacroiliac joint in a lateral decubitus position. The following description is provided in the context of a left lateral decubitus position. The upper right leg is placed on a stand in the lateral decubitus position, and the upper right leg is then extended transitively backward with a sacral area supported by a sacrum support pad. Since a posterior side of a lower left sacroiliac joint is slightly opened, a sacrum slides backward via a right hip joint. This improves mobility of the lower left sacroiliac joint.
Moving exercise apparatus
A Moving Exercise Apparatus is provided which includes a frame structure member, an intermediate support member, a user support member, and a track guide member. The intermediate support member moves upon the frame structure member along a generally linear path of motion. The user support member moves upon the intermediate support member also along a generally linear path of motion, generally perpendicular to the movement of the intermediate support member upon the frame structure member. A track guide member is mounted upon the frame structure member at a location below the user support member. The user moves the user support member, which operatively engages the track guide member and follows a predetermined path of motion as designated by the track guide member. Different track guide members may be utilized to provide different paths of motion.
