The present invention discloses an apparatus (100), for scrubbing smoke comprising: a first tank (110), having a compartment (111), filled with a liquid; and, an inlet (112), configured to draw in the smoke into the compartment (111) from a combustion source, characterized in that, the first tank (110) includes a propeller system (113), arranged within the compartment (111) to mix the smoke with the liquid, for providing first scrubbing effect by propelling the liquid.
METHOD OF ATTACHING/DETACHING CATALYTIC UNIT AND CATALYTIC REACTOR
A method of attaching/detaching a catalytic unit according to an embodiment is a method of attaching/detaching a catalytic unit accommodated in a reactor housing of a catalytic reactor, including a step of passing the catalytic unit through a gas inlet formed at a top portion of the reactor housing to attach or detach the catalytic unit to or from the reactor housing having a cylindrical shape extending in a vertical direction and configured such that a gas having a gauge pressure of 0.2 Mpa or more is introduced thereto.
Combustion chamber assembly unit
A combustion chamber assembly unit for a fuel-operated vehicle heater includes a combustion chamber housing (14) elongated in a direction of a housing longitudinal axis (L), with a combustion chamber (16) radially outwardly bounded by a circumferential wall (18), and with a combustion chamber bottom (20) axially delimiting the combustion chamber (16). A combustion air feed volume (36) is provided that is open to the combustion chamber (16) via a plurality of passage openings (38). A cooling medium feed device (46) is provided for feeding a liquid cooling medium to the combustion air feed volume (36).
NOx ABATEMENT SYSTEM FOR A STATIONARY BURNING SYSTEM
The present application relates to abatement processes and systems of nitrogen oxide (NO.sub.x) contained in exhaust gases, more in particular produced by stationary burner and combustion systems. The NO.sub.x are removed by reduction using a catalyst and a reducing agent that is introduced into the exhaust gases and being mixed therewith. The mixture is then conducted over the catalyst N resulting in conversion of the NO.sub.x in environmentally neutral N.sub.2 and H.sub.2O. The present application more in particular relates to a mixing system for such a NO.sub.x abatement system to mix the exhaust gases with the reducing agent.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR BURNING ODOR GAS
A method for burning primary fuel (F1), wherein the primary fuel (F1) comprises at least a first compound containing nitrogen and a second compound comprising sulfur. The method comprises producing primary combustion gas (G1) having a temperature of at least 450° C. and comprising oxygen; feeding the primary fuel (F1) and the primary combustion gas (G1) to a primary process zone (Z1) of a furnace (200); feeding tertiary combustion gas (G3) to a secondary process zone (Z2) of the furnace (200); letting the primary fuel (F1), the primary combustion gas (G1), and/or their reaction products to move from the primary process zone (Z1) via the secondary process zone (Z2) to a tertiary process zone (Z3) of the furnace (200); and feeding quaternary combustion gas (G4) comprising oxygen to the tertiary process zone (Z3) of the furnace (200). An embodiment comprises collecting the primary fuel (F1) from a pulp process. A corresponding system.
METHOD FOR REMOVING NITROGEN OXIDES FROM COMBUSTION FUMES WITH ON-SITE GENERATION OF AMMONIA
A method for the control of nitrogen oxides content in the combustion fumes of a thermal power plant is disclosed; the method comprises the on-site production of ammonia by the steps of: electrolysis of water as a source of hydrogen; separation of air as a source of nitrogen, formation of a make-up gas and synthesis of ammonia in a suitable synthesis loop; said on-site produced ammonia, or a solution thereof, is used for a process of reduction of nitrogen oxides in the combustion fumes.
System and method for reducing liquid discharge from one or more devices
The present invention relates generally to the field of emission control equipment for boilers, heaters, kilns, or other flue gas-, or combustion gas-, generating devices (e.g., those located at power plants, processing plants, etc.) and, in particular to a new and useful method and apparatus for reducing and/or eliminating various liquid discharges from one or more emission control equipment devices (e.g., one or more wet flue gas desulfurization (WFGD) units). In another embodiment, the method and apparatus of the present invention is designed to reduce and/or eliminate the amount of liquid waste that is discharged from a WFGD unit by subjecting the WFGD liquid waste to one or more drying processes, one or more spray dryer (or spray dry) absorber processes, and/or one or more spray dryer (or spray dry) evaporation processes.
BOILER
A boiler performs mixed-fuel combustion of a sulfur-containing fuel and ammonia as a fuel, and includes a furnace having a plurality of wall parts, a burner installed on at least one of the wall parts of the furnace, and an ammonia injection port that is configured to cause the ammonia to be burned as the fuel to flow along an inner wall surface of the wall part where the burner is not installed.
Method for Reducing Nitrogen Oxides In Strip Heat Treatment Furnaces
A method for treating a metal strip, where the metal strip undergoes heat treatment in a directly fired furnace and is subsequently heat-treated further in a radiant tube furnace. At least part of the exhaust gases from the radiant tubes is fed to the directly fired furnace.
Arrangement for and a method of operating a steam boiler system
A method of operating and an arrangement for a steam boiler system including a furnace and along a following flue gas channel a number of superheaters, a number of economizers, and at least one air preheater located in the flue gas channel downstream of the economizers, a fabric filter baghouse located in the flue gas channel downstream of the air preheater, and downstream of the fabric filter baghouse is located a selective catalytic reduction (SCR) system including an SCR reactor, a high pressure steam coil heater upstream of the SCR reactor and a gas-gas heat exchanger connected upstream and downstream of the SCR reactor to transfer heat from flue gas after the SCR reactor to the flue gas upstream of the high pressure steam coil heater.
