Upper body gait ergometer and gait trainer

Apparatus and associated methods may relate a to natural gait upper body ergometer and gait therapy (UBEGT) device having a support frame within which is suspended rotationally coordinated left and right natural gait modules (NGMs). A position of each NGM may be defined by corresponding left and right pivot arms which are rotatably coupled to a left and right side of the support frame, respectively, and wherein each gait training module is provided with a corresponding foot support and knee support. The UBEGT may be provided with an upper body ergometer (UBE) rotatably coupled to a front of the support frame and configured to rotate a shaft rotatably connected to the left and right pivot arms when a hand crank is rotated.

Exercise apparatus

An exercise apparatus comprising a foot support movable by the user on the frame back and forth through any one of a plurality of complete, reproducible and different arc segments of a master arcuate path, the foot support being interconnected to an arc segment selection device that is manually actuatable to enable the user to manually select any one of the plurality of different arc segments, the foot support being interconnected to an arm having a handle manually graspable by the user to reduce or increase power or energy required by the user to move the foot support.

An exercise device comprising: a frame (10), first and second foot supports (24a, 24b) suspended on a frame (10) by first (18c, 26c, 26b) and second (18d, 26a, 26d) linkage assemblies, one or the other or both of the frame linkage assemblies being interconnected to an adjustment device (55, 56) that is selectively adjustable by a user to select one of a plurality of discrete segments (AP, P1, AP, P2) of a master or overall path of arcuate travel (J) and to a lateral adjustment device (58a, 58b) that enables the user to selectively adjust the path of travel of the foot supports a selected angle (8, 8) relative to a central axis of the device.

RECUMBENT STEP EXERCISER WITH SELF-CENTERING MECHANISM
20180333602 · 2018-11-22 ·

A step exercise apparatus with a self-centering pedal system. The system comprising a frame and a seat supported from the frame. A first pedal assembly and a second pedal assembly are pivotally supported from the frame positioned so as to be manipulable by a user seated in the seat. A linkage is positioned in communication with the first pedal assembly and the second pedal assembly such that movement of either pedal assembly in a first direction causes movement of the other pedal assembly in a second direction opposite of the first direction. A brake is preferably employed for resisting motion of the first pedal assembly and the second pedal assembly in at least the first direction. A centering system positions the first and second pedal assemblies in a substantially central position when not being manipulated by the user.
