Fluid control apparatus having variable area flow restrictor

A fluid regulator having a valve body defining an inlet, an outlet, a loading port, an access port, and a loading chamber disposed within the valve body and coupled to the loading port. A valve assembly is at least partially disposed between the inlet and the outlet and in communication with the loading chamber and is adapted to cooperate with the loading chamber to adjust fluid flow at the outlet by adjusting a fluid flow rate between the inlet and the outlet. A restrictor is at least partially disposed within the access port and the loading chamber and the valve assembly are adapted to be responsive to a change in loading pressure such that a modified rate is achieved and the restrictor is adapted to adjust a response speed in which the modified rate is achieved.

Systems and Methods for Avoiding Harmonic Modes of Gas Burners
20190162408 · 2019-05-30 · ·

A gas burner system has a gas burner with a conduit through which an air-gas mixture is conducted; a variable-speed forced-air device that forces air through the conduit; a control valve that controls a supply of gas for mixture with the air to thereby form the air-gas mixture; and an electrode configured to ignite the air-gas mixture so as to produce a flame. The electrode is further configured to measure a flame ionization current associated with the flame. A controller is configured to actively control the variable-speed forced-air device based on the flame ionization current measured by the electrode so as to automatically avoid a flame harmonic mode of the gas burner. Corresponding methods are provided.

DUAL FUEL SELECTABLE APPARATUS

A heater assembly can be used with a gas appliance. The gas appliance can be a dual fuel appliance for use with one of a first fuel type or a second fuel type different than the first. The heater assembly can include a pressure sensor and a plurality of valves operable by a control module dependent upon a detected fuel pressure. The valves may be solenoid valves that can reduce the available fuel delivery paths to limit fuel delivery to a burner when a higher pressure, such as detection of LP gas, is detected.

FUEL SUPPLY SYSTEM FOR A GAS BURNER ASSEMBLY
20190120495 · 2019-04-25 ·

A fuel supply system for a gas burner assembly includes an eductor for providing a mixed flow of fuel into a fuel chamber of the gas burner assembly. The eductor includes a suction chamber defining a suction inlet, a motive nozzle positioned within the suction chamber, and an eductor outlet positioned proximate an inlet to the fuel chamber. A fuel supply provides a first flow of fuel through a first fuel supply conduit to the suction inlet and a second flow of fuel through a second fuel supply conduit to the motive nozzle. A fuel pump is operably coupled to the second fuel supply conduit for increasing a pressure of the second flow of fuel such that the second flow generates a negative pressure within the suction chamber to increase the first flow of fuel.

Switching device of gas valve

A switching device includes a rod, a rotating shaft, and a valve assembly including a cover and a plug member. The cover engaged with the valve body has a first block section, a second block section, a space, and a threaded hole communicates with the space. The plug member is rotatably provided in a chamber of the cover, changing an area of an opening of an inlet hole. The rotating shaft has a projection is adapted to drive the plug member to rotate. A rod body of the rod has a threaded section engaged with the threaded hole. When the projection abuts against the first block section, the plug member seals the inlet hole. When the projection abuts against the rod, the plug member changes the area to a first area. When the projection abuts against the second block section, the plug member changes the area to a second area.

Electromagnetic Gas Valve, Gas Regulating Valve and Gas Cooking Appliance

Electromagnetic gas valve with a gas inlet, a gas outlet, and a closure member that is displaceable between an opening position and a closing position. A maximum flow is supplied through the gas outlet with the closure member in the open position and a minimum flow being supplied with the closure member in the closed position. The valve includes a main fluid channel with a closure hole through which the maximum flow is supplied to the gas outlet. The closure member includes a secondary fluid channel calibrated for the minimum flow to pass therethrough, such that the closure member in the closed position covers the closure hole and allows the passage of gas through the secondary fluid channel.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR LEAK DETECTION AND REMOTE, NON-INTRUSIVE, AUTOMATIC SHUTOFF IN RESIDENTIAL REGULATORS

Systems and methods for leak detection and remote, non-intrusive, automatic shutoff in residential regulators are provided. Such systems and methods can include a shutoff device that includes a mounting bracket for mounting on a supply container, a linking device for coupling to a knob of a valve of a regulator of the supply container, and an actuator for, responsive to a control signal, automatically rotating the linking device, which rotates the knob, which rotates the valve from an on position to an off position. In some embodiments, a leak sensor can detect a presence of a fuel leak and, responsive thereto, transmit the control signal to the actuator, and in some embodiments, a position sensor can determine that a current position of the valve is indicative of the on position and, responsive thereto, transmit the control signal to the actuator.
