Reverse flow prevention apparatus for common exhaust flue and combustion apparatus having same
The present invention relates to a reverse flow prevention apparatus for common exhaust flue and a combustion apparatus having same. The reverse flow prevention apparatus for common exhaust flue, which is configured to collect exhaust gas of a plurality of combustion apparatuses, discharge the collected exhaust gas through a common exhaust flue, and prevent a reverse flow of the exhaust gas from the common exhaust pipe to each of the combustion apparatuses, includes a flange coupled to an exhaust port of each of the combustion apparatuses, an opening and closing apparatus hinge-coupled to an upper part of the flange to be opened and closed by a pressure difference between a lower portion and an upper portion thereof, and a body coupled to the upper part of the flange so as to accommodate the opening and closing apparatus. In accordance with the present invention, the reverse flow prevention apparatus, which may be directly installed at the exhaust port of the combustion apparatus, is coupled to the common exhaust flue upon installation thereof so that a separate certification may not be required to reduce time and costs for a certification.

Integrated damper control system
An integrated damper control system is used with a gas fired appliance including a gas burner, a flue and a damper for selectively opening the flue. The damper control system comprises an appliance control including a programmed processor for controlling the gas burner and a communication interface device. A damper control comprises a programmed processor for controlling the damper and a communication interface device for communication with the appliance control communication interface device. The damper control programmed processor is programmed to selectively open or close the damper responsive to status of a damper request register and to control status of a lockout register to indicate status of the damper. The appliance control programmed processor is programmed to control status of the damper request register responsive to a call for operation of the gas burner and to operate the gas burner only if the lockout register is set to unlock.

Method and burner using the curie effect for controlling reactant velocity for operation in pre-heated and non-pre-heated modes
Methods, burner, apparatuses, and systems are provided for controlling a velocity of a jet of gas exiting a burner when the gas is heated or not and at a corresponding second higher temperature or lower first temperature. Through the use of a temperature-sensitive magnetic valve, the flow of a gas can be redirected to maintain velocity of the gas as delivered to a combustion chamber based on the temperature of the gas. The temperature-sensitive magnetic valve can redirect flow of the gas based on the magnetic state of a ferromagnetic material. The state of the temperature-sensitive magnetic valve changes based on the temperature of the gas to maintain the velocity of the gas delivered through an outlet of the burner to the combustion chamber. Thus, heated gases and standard temperature gases can be delivered at approximately equal velocities thus maintaining flame size and shape.

Dual venturi for combustor
The present invention relates to a dual venturi for a combustor and, specifically, to a dual venturi for a combustor, which adjusts the amount of gas and air supplied to a burner of a hot water heater and has a motor combined with a damper in order to increase a turn-down ratio (TDR), such that the damper is rotated by the driving of the motor so as to simultaneously open or close secondary air and gas inlets, thereby enabling efficient heating control. The present invention has a separate opening/closing means which is capable of controlling, in two stages, the amount of air and gas flowing into the combustor such as the hot water heater, wherein the opening/closing means comprises the motor and the damper, and the damper is rotated by the driving of the motor so as to simultaneously open or close the secondary air and gas inlets, thereby enabling the control of the amount of air and gas.
