System and method for diffusion combustion with fuel-diluent mixing in a stoichiometric exhaust gas recirculation gas turbine system
A system is provided with a turbine combustor having a first diffusion fuel nozzle, wherein the first diffusion fuel nozzle has first and second passages that separately inject respective first and second flows into a chamber of the turbine combustor to produce a diffusion flame. The first flow includes a first fuel and a first diluent, and the second flow includes a first oxidant. The system includes a turbine driven by combustion products from the diffusion flame in the turbine combustor. The system also includes an exhaust gas compressor, wherein the exhaust gas compressor is configured to compress and route an exhaust gas from the turbine to the turbine combustor along an exhaust recirculation path.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR HIGH EFFICIENCY POWER GENERATION USING A CARBON DIOXIDE CIRCULATING WORKING FLUID
The present invention provides methods and system for power generation using a high efficiency combustor in combination with a CO.sub.2 circulating fluid. The methods and systems advantageously can make use of a low pressure ratio power turbine and an economizer heat exchanger in specific embodiments. Additional low grade heat from an external source can be used to provide part of an amount of heat needed for heating the recycle CO.sub.2 circulating fluid. Fuel derived CO.sub.2 can be captured and delivered at pipeline pressure. Other impurities can be captured.

EFFLUENT GAS TREATMENT APPARATUS AND METHOD
A treatment apparatus for treating an effluent gas comprising:includes a combustion chamber; a burner; an inlet for receiving secondary combustion air; an exhaust gas outlet for outputting exhaust gases from the combustion chamber; and a heat exchanger. The heat exchanger is configured to exchange heat between a first fluid and a second fluid flowing through respective first and second fluid flow paths. The first fluid flow path is connected to the inlet such that the secondary combustion air flows from the inlet into the first fluid flow path and the second fluid flow path is connected to the outlet such that the exhaust gases received at the outlet flow into the second fluid flow path. The heat exchanger comprises a fluid flow communication path for providing a path for flow of a portion of the exhaust gases from the second fluid into the first fluid; and at least one inlet aperture for inputting the first fluid to the combustion chamber.
BURNER AND PROCESS FOR PRODUCING SYNTHESIS GAS
A burner for producing synthesis gas by partial oxidation of liquid or gaseous, carbon-containing fuels in the presence of an oxygen-containing oxidant and a moderator, which burner can be operated uncooled, i.e. without a fluid coolant being passed through the burner, is proposed. Steam or carbon dioxide or else mixtures of these materials are used as moderator. This is achieved by the feed channels being configured so that mixing of the fuel, the moderator and the oxidant occurs only outside the burner.
BURNER
The invention relates to a burner for gaseous, fluid or powdery fuels, into which three components are introduced: a fuel (40); an oxidizing gas (10), for example air; and an inert gas (20), for example gases produced by combustion, nitrogen or water vapor. Two components, for example, air and inert gas, are mixed together and propelled by at least one injection stage (95) arranged at different positions in relation to the movement of the fuel.

Method and combusting fuel and burner therefor
Method and burner for combusting a main fuel with a main oxidizer, whereby flows of the main fuel and the main oxidizer are injected via an injector end, comprising at least one metallic injector, said injector end being positioned in the upstream section of a main passage of a refractory block and whereby multiple jets are injected into the downstream section of the main passage to increase mixing and turbulence of the flows of the main fuel and the main oxidizer.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR COMBUSTION OF NON-GASEOUS FUELS AND DERIVATIVES THEREOF
The present disclosure relates to apparatuses and methods that are useful for one or more aspects of a power production plant. More particularly, the disclosure relates to combustor apparatuses and methods for a combustor adapted to utilize different fuel mixtures derived from gasification of a solid fuel. Combustion of the different fuel mixtures within the combustor can be facilitated by arranging elements of the combustor controlled so that a defined set of combustion characteristics remains substantially constant across a range of different fuel mixtures.
