Industrial chimney for wet stack operation provided with an internal lining system
An industrial chimney for wet stack operation is provided with an internal lining system attached to the inner surface of the chimney. The internal lining system comprises construction elements, that are arranged in a pattern, such that the joints between the construction elements in the pattern at the flue gas side of the internal lining system are inclined at an angle α of at least 5 degrees from horizontal.
BURNER PANEL FOR A METALLURGICAL FURNACE
One or more embodiments of a burner panel for a metallurgical furnace is described herein. The burner panel has a body. The body has a front face, a first side surface, and a second side surface. Additionally, the body has a hollow extending between the first side surface, second side surface, and the front face. A middle portion of the body extends from the hollow toward the interior face. A burner tube is disposed through the middle portion of the body. The burner tube has an exterior portion having an entry and an exit disposed at the font face. An internal mounting flange extends along the first side surface and the second side surface. The body of the burner panel has no internal plumbing for cooling.
Burner, furnace, and steam cracking processes using the same
A burner sub-system, a furnace comprising the same, a fuel combustion process and steam cracking process carried out in the furnace. The burner sub-system comprises a barrier wall segment between the burner tip and the flue-gas recirculation (“FGR”) duct, effectively blocking direct gas flow between the burner tip and the FGR duct opening, but without encircling the whole burner tip. The presence of the partial barrier wall has the advantage of preventing the temperature inside the FGR duct from becoming too high, while achieving low NOx emissions from the combustion process without overheating the burner tip because of reduced amount of heat reflection to the burner tip compared to an annular barrier wall. The invention is particularly useful in furnaces where hydrogen-rich fuel gas is combusted.
Combustor panel configuration with skewed side walls
A combustor of a gas turbine engine including a first forward liner panel. The forward liner panel including a liner panel forward edge, a liner panel aft edge opposite of the liner panel forward edge, and a first liner panel side edge between the liner panel aft edge and the liner panel forward edge. The first liner panel side edge is non-perpendicular to the liner panel forward edge and oriented at an angle about perpendicular to a swirl flow in the combustor.
Direct gas-fired process air heater assembly utilizing a premix burner applied to a shrink wrap conveyer oven
A direct gas-fired process air heater assembly that utilizes a premix burner applied to a shrink wrap conveyor oven for uniform dissemination of heated air into the a recirculating air stream of a circulating blower, said air circulating blower directing the heated air into the shrink wrap chamber or tunnel for shrinking polymer film around packaged goods for shipment and/or storage. According to various aspects, exemplary embodiments are disclosed of the direct gas-fired packaged process air heater assembly construction features including the application of premix burner technology.
COMBUSTION CHAMBER FOR THE INCINERATION OF WASTE PRODUCTS
A combustion chamber for use in the incineration of waste products includes an inner refractory wall which extends vertically within an outer protective wall in a spaced relationship so as to define a plenum therebetween. The inner refractory wall is constructed using a plurality of precast, refractory blocks which are stacked and arranged to define a cylindrical interior cavity. The refractory blocks include mating features on adjacent surfaces to facilitate assembly and provide structural support. For additional support, selected blocks are fixedly connected to vertical support tubes by metal tie-back anchors. To facilitate combustion, a selection of the blocks is precast with a tuyere hole in order to deliver a uniform and balanced supply of air from the plenum into the interior cavity. The precast nature of the refractory blocks enables the inner refractory wall to be constructed with great precision, thereby optimizing incineration and minimizing material degradation.
