TREADMILL WITH DYNAMIC BELT TENSIONING MECHANISM

A dynamic belt-tensioning apparatus for a treadmill includes a base having a first end and a second end spaced from the first end. A foot-striking platform is movably supported by the base so as to allow vertical movement of the platform during operation of the treadmill. A drive belt has a fixed circumference and is positioned above a top portion of the platform. A drive roller is pivotally mounted adjacent to the first end of the base and engages the drive belt. A tensioning roller is pivotally mounted to the base and is capable of a range of movement to provide substantially constant tension to the drive belt in response vertical movement of the platform.

PRESSURE CHAMBER AND LIFT FOR DIFFERENTIAL AIR PRESSURE SYSTEM WITH MEDICAL DATA COLLECTION CAPABILITIES

A differential air pressure system has a pressure bag with windows and preferred folding configuration such that when the bag is folded no window is folded. The pressure bag is supported by a lift support that is proximal to a user control panel and adjacent to or nearly adjacent to the user who is coupled to the pressure bag. A treadmill base for use with differential air pressure equipment is provided. There are various improvements provided to adapt the operations of the DAP system via the use of separate pressure volume and non-pressure volume portions of the treadmill base. Various improvements to serviceability and repairs are provided by placement of components outside of the pressure volume portion or by providing one or more pressure volume access points.

Exercise apparatus

The present invention relates to an exercise apparatus. The exercise apparatus includes a platform which has an endless belt revolved around it. The endless belt defines an exercising space. A left strap extends from a left front portion to a left rear portion of the exercising space, and a right strap extends from a right front portion to a right rear portion of the exercising space. The left strap and the right strap respectively have a first connecting part and a second connecting part which could be connected or detached with each other. When the two connecting parts are connected with each other, the left strap and the right strap form a retaining portion for resisting forward movement of a user. When the two connecting parts are detached, the left strap and the right strap could be positioned on a left side and a right side of the exercising space.

The invention provides a shock absorption mechanism for a treadmill. The shock absorption mechanism for a treadmill consists of a running platform, a base and rubber columns connecting the running platform and the base, wherein opposing magnets are respectively fixed below middle parts of two sides of the running platform and above middle parts of two sides of the base, and the magnets on the running platform and the magnets on the base have the same magnetic pole, thus forming a repulsive force for shock absorption. Such shock absorption mechanism has the advantages of no noise, a long service life, good comfort and the like when in use.

Motorless treadmill

There is provided a motorless treadmill. The motorless treadmill includes: a motorless track having a curved shape such that an inclination angle increases with respect to a ground surface toward a front end and a rear end, and configured to move around a closed path by a user's footsteps; and a pair of side covers disposed on two opposing sides of the motorless track, wherein the motorless track changes movement speed according to a location at which the user steps on the motorless track, and wherein, on at least one side cover of the pair of side covers, a speed-related indicator is disposed to indicate information related to the movement speed of the motorless track.

Curved manual treadmill

A tread assembly includes two belts and many slats. Each belt includes apertures. Each slat includes a rigid element, two threaded bolts and a cushion. The rigid element includes two apertures, an external face, and an internal face in contact with the belts. Each of the threaded bolts includes a middle section and two terminal sections. The middle section is inserted in one of the apertures of the rigid element so that the threaded bolts cannot be rotated relative to the rigid element. The first terminal section is located on the external face of the rigid element. The second terminal section is inserted in one of the aperture of a one of the belts. The cushion includes an internal face in contact with the external face of the rigid element and an external face extending higher than the first external section of each of the threaded bolts.

Systems and methods for restricting transverse movement of a treadmill belt

A treadmill includes a frame having a front end and a rear end, substantially opposite the front end; a front shaft assembly coupled to the frame proximate the front end of the frame; a rear shaft assembly coupled to the frame proximate the rear end of the frame; a running belt disposed about the front and rear shaft assemblies; and a bumper coupled to the frame proximate the running belt such that the bumper is disposed between the running belt and the frame. In use, the bumper is configured to selectively restrict movement of the running belt towards at least a portion of the frame.

Slat having truss structure
11918848 · 2024-03-05 · ·

Proposed is a slat having a truss structure, the slat including: a main body provided with a stepping part which receives the load of a user, and a coupling part which is formed on both sides of the stepping part and may be fixed to a track belt; and a truss part connected to the stepping part so as to distribute the load applied to the main body. Thus, since the load applied to the stepping part is distributed by a diagonal member part and a chord member part of the truss part, the bending of the main body caused by the load is minimized, and thus damage to the main body caused by the load may be prevented.
