A computerized treadmill is provided. The treadmill may include a walking layer, a middle layer fully suspending the walking layer via a plurality of air suspension elements, and a foundation layer. The air suspension elements, such as bellows, may be pressurized by a computer-controlled compressor feeding a central air reservoir to which each bellows is connected via air hose. The air suspension elements may be dampened to control expansion. One or more alignment elements, such as double hinge structures, may be used to control lateral movement and reduce lateral load on the bellows.

CURVED MANUAL TREADMILL

A curved manual treadmill for the physical exercises of a user, comprising: a frame extending along a longitudinal direction; a first rotation shaft adapted to rotate around a respective first rotation axis transversal to the longitudinal direction of the frame; a second rotation shaft adapted to rotate around a respective second rotation axis transversal to the longitudinal direction of the frame; a physical exercise surface operatively connected to the first rotation shaft and to the second rotation shaft, so as to generate an endless closed physical exercise path, and a device for resisting the movement of the upper portion of the physical exercise surface operatively associated with at least either the first rotation shaft or the second rotation shaft.

Exercise apparatus

The present invention relates to an exercise apparatus. The exercise apparatus includes a platform with an endless belt. The endless belt defines an exercising space above it. A restricting device has a retaining portion, a left restricting portion and a right restricting portion. The two restricting portions are elongated and flexible, such as straps. The left restricting portion is connected to a left end of the retaining portion from a left rear of the exercising space. The right restricting portion is connected to a right end of the retaining portion from a right rear of the exercising space. The restricting device maintains the retaining portion at an appropriate position to make the retaining portion naturally abut against a waist of the user for resisting forward movement of the user toward a front side of the exercising space and allowing the user to sprint or quick run on the platform.

A motor-less leg-powered curved treadmill produced that allows people to walk, jog, run, and sprint without making any adjustments to the treadmill other than shifting the user's center of gravity forward and backwards. A closed loop treadmill belt running between front and rear pulley rollers is formed with a low friction running surface of transverse aluminum, wooden, plastic, rubber or carbon fiber slats attached to each other in a resilient fashion. An essential feature of treadmill is the concave shape of the upper portion of the belt running surface, the treadmill configurations ensure that this shape is maintained during actual use. These configurations prevent the concave upper running surface portion from being pulled taut into a flat shape between the front and rear pulley rollers. The slats of the treadmill each have an end view crossectional I-beam shape, for strength and stability of the slat positioned upon the treadmill belt.

A treadboard and a treadmill includes two first elastic strips of same structure arranged abreast with the lengths disposed along the moving direction of the belt of the treadmill and a plurality of solid support strips; the first elastic strips are arc structural, the center of the arc structure is higher than two ends of the arc structure; either end of each first elastic strip is once formed with buffer portion that is flexible along the length direction, so that the buffer portions buffer the arc structure of the first elastic strip after fixedly connected to the base of the treadmill; the solid support strips is of straight strip structure respectively connected vertically between the two first elastic strips, two ends of each solid support strip are respectively connected to the corresponding upper sides of the two first elastic strips.

PRESSURE CHAMBER AND LIFT FOR DIFFERENTIAL AIR PRESSURE SYSTEM WITH MEDICAL DATA COLLECTION CAPABILITIES

A differential air pressure system has a pressure bag with windows and preferred folding configuration such that when the bag is folded no window is folded. The pressure bag is supported by a lift support that is proximal to a user control panel and adjacent to or nearly adjacent to the user who is coupled to the pressure bag. A treadmill base for use with differential air pressure equipment is provided. There are various improvements provided to adapt the operations of the DAP system via the use of separate pressure volume and non-pressure volume portions of the treadmill base. Various improvements to serviceability and repairs are provided by placement of components outside of the pressure volume portion or by providing one or more pressure volume access points.
