It is common in heating systems, such as in a hot water heater for there to be a combustor with the exhaust gases from the combustor provided to a heat exchanger to heat up the water. Disclosed herein is an integrated heat exchanger and burner assembly in which the combustion occurs proximate the surface of the heat exchanger. Such a system may include at least one tube that is coiled into a number of turns, that is a tube coil with the at least one tube having an inlet and an outlet and the distance between adjacent turns is less than a predetermined distance, i.e. a the quench distance.

A combined heat exchanger including a flue gas cooler heat-transfer unit supplied with cooling fluid by a supply pump and an upstream GGH heat-transfer unit for circulation of circulating fluid with a downstream GGH by a circulation pump is arranged at an outlet of a gas air heater for heat exchange of flue gas from a boiler body for oxyfuel combustion with recirculation flue gases. A low-low temperature ESP is arranged at an outlet of the combined heat exchanger. A heat-exchange-duty adjustment device is arranged to regulate heats exchanged in the heat-transfer units in the heat exchanger such that at least flue gas temperature at the inlet of the low-low temperature ESP is kept to an inlet set temperature.

Gas valve and gas burner system

A gas valve for a gas appliance of a gas burner system. The gas valve is connected to a gas source via a gas pipe. The gas valve is disposed with a check valve body, wherein the check valve body allows gas in the gas pipe to flow into the gas valve and prohibits the gas in the gas valve to flow into the gas pipe so the check valve body can thereby prevent the gas in the gas valve from flwoing back to the gas pipe. When gas in the gas pipe flows to to another gas appliance of the gas burner system, the gas flowing to another gas appliance does not mix with air in the gas appliance, thereby reducing the iginition time and enhancing the combustion efficiency.

PROCESS FOR HIGH EFFICIENCY, LOW POLLUTION FUEL CONVERSION

A process for reducing the CO.sub.2 and other pollutants produced by the combustion of a fuel in a combustion chamber while maintaining or increasing the efficiency of said combustion includes feeding to the combustion chamber, or preconditioning the combustion chamber, with a catalyst, preferably a lithium based salt. Monitoring the energy output and components of the exhaust gas stream to maintain optimum operation allows reduction, during the process, of the catalyst delivery and feed air. The presence of the catalyst results in increased efficiency of operation and reduction of pollutants generated.

Methods and Systems for Controlling the Products of Combustion

The present invention relates to methods and systems for controlling a combustion reaction and the products thereof. One embodiment includes a combustion control system having an oxygen supply stream and a high concentration carbon dioxide stream, mixing the streams to form an oxygenation stream substantially comprising oxygen and CO2 and having an oxygen to CO2 ratio, then mixing the oxygenation stream with a combustion fuel stream and combusting in a combustor to generate a combustion products stream having a temperature detected by a temperature sensor, the data from which is used to control the flow a carbon dioxide diluent stream to produce a desired temperature of combustion. The system may also include a control system configured to regulate the flow of the oxygen supply stream based on the flow rate and composition of the combustion fuel stream. The system may also include a gas turbine with an expander and having a load and a load controller in a feedback arrangement. Other embodiments include a hydrocarbon analyzer and multiple fuel streams that may be combined to form the combustion fuel stream.

Thermally controlled combustion system

Contemplated configurations and methods are presented for effectively controlling the temperature in an oxy-fuel combustion system. Contemplated systems preferably introduce water independent of the fuel and oxygen into the combustion chamber. Water is injected through one or more nozzles, wherein water is atomized or sprayed, creating boundary layer cool zones in a boiler system and wherein water is recovered.

This invention reduces the amount of carbon monoxide introduced by a combustion system to the atmosphere, by furnishing a systems approach to optimize the amount of oxygen to be chemically combined with fuel upon ignition of both allowing the correct amount of carbon to combine with the correct amount of oxygen thus fully release the thermal energy stored therein. By so furnishing the level of oxygen with carbon of the fuel, more carbon dioxide is produced thus proportionally reduces the amount of carbon monoxide released to the atmosphere. The invention provides a heating system that surpasses the net and gross efficiency performance of a natural gas burner.
