Low emission woodstove
The present disclosure provides woodstoves that, optionally, produce low emissions. In certain embodiments, the woodstove includes a housing, a firebox disposed in the housing, an air regulator and a secondary air pipe. The air regulator includes a primary air aperture configured to supply primary air to a fire located in the firebox, a plurality of secondary air apertures configured to supply secondary air to a combustible gas emitted by the fire, and a secondary air damper. The present disclosure also provides methods of operating such a woodstove. As measured according to Method 28 of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the weighted average emission rate of the woodstove of certain embodiments of the invention is no greater than about 4.5 grams of particulate emissions per hour.
Gas Inlet Fixture and Air Shutter
A burner assembly including a gas inlet fixture for use with a burner tube, the gas inlet fixture including a plurality of tabs to engage a neck of a gas control valve to improve ignition and center the gas flow down the center of the burner tube.
Indexed vent for natural draft cooking devices
An opening is defined in a wall, the opening defining a plurality detents along a lower edge thereof. A vent cover affixed to the outer wall such that the vent cover is rotatable to cover and uncover the opening. An indexing mechanism selectively fits into each of the plurality of detents and retain the vent cover from rotation.
AIR INLET DAMPER
A fuel fired, atmospheric water heater has a burner positioned inside a combustion chamber. All combustion air entering the combustion chamber must pass through a damper. The damper is operable to adjust the flow resistance to combustion air entering the combustion chamber. The damper is biased to a closed position such that during non-firing periods of the water heater, the damper significantly reduces the flow rate of combustion air being provided to the combustion chamber reducing standby heat loss. An actuator is in fluid communication with a fuel supply line such that when pressurized fuel is provided to the burner, the pressurized fuel causes the actuator to move the damper to an open position to permit operative combustion air delivery to the combustion chamber during firing periods of the water heater.
Automated torch
An automated torch for generating and sustaining a flame is provided that includes a head, the head including a burning chamber, the burning chamber being open to the atmosphere and weather elements to expose the flame to the atmosphere and weather elements, a pole, a valve, a programmable computer module, the module configured to convert a low voltage to a high voltage, the module further configured to actuate a valve, the module still further configured to control the rotation of the valve to vary the amount of fuel introduced into the burning chamber to modify the aesthetics of the flame, a sleeve nut, the sleeve nut configured to be adjustable to control the amount of air introduced in the burning chamber to modify the aesthetics of the flame, at least one fuel supply tube, a diffuser assembly and an igniter. The igniter positioned within the burning chamber and the igniter including an anode and a cathode. The anode and the cathode are positioned such that the anode is proximate the cathode to create a sufficient gap such that when the high voltage is applied to said igniter a spark is induced across the gap. The anode and the cathode of the igniter are configured to detect the presence of a flame within the burning chamber. The igniter is configured to be electrically connected to the programmable computer module, the programmable computer module programmed to interpret a signal from the igniter to determine whether the high voltage should be induced across the gap to create the spark or a flame is present in the burning chamber.
IMPINGING-TYPE TEMPERATURE UNIFORMITY DEVICE
An impinging-type temperature uniformity device includes an outer case portion; and a temperature uniformizer provided in the outer case portion, spaced apart inwardly from an inner surface of the outer case portion and connected to the outer case portion, wherein the temperature uniformizer includes: a head portion provided in the outer case portion; and a body portion spaced apart inwardly from the inner surface of the outer case portion and including at least one through-hole.
Adjustable burner nozzle for multiple fuels
A fuel nozzle apparatus can include a nozzle that functions with two or more modes of operation with respect to a group of fuels, and an air shroud fixed over the nozzle. The air shroud blocks air through the nozzle or allows air through the nozzle in a predefined pattern. When a position of the air shroud is varied, the amount of the air and the location of the air into the nozzle is changed to facilitate the two or more modes of operation with respect to the group of fuels.
