TREADMILL WITH RESTRAINT DEVICE

The present invention provides a manual treadmill, the manual treadmill includes a frame having a front support portion and a rear support portion, a running belt disposed about and supported by the front support portion and the rear support portion, and a speed limiting device, wherein the running belt rotates in a first rotating direction or a second rotating direction in response to a directional movement of a user. The speed limiting device includes a one-way bearing, a rotating element and a transmission element, wherein the rotating element is coupled to the front support portion, and the one-way bearing is connected to the rotating element via the transmission element to limit a speed of the running belt in the second rotating direction.

An apparatus used for cardiovascular workouts and strength training workouts contains a treadmill, a first weight-engaging pulley mechanism, a second weight-engaging pulley mechanism, a first guide channel, and a second guide channel. The treadmill is used to complete the cardiovascular workouts. The first weight-engaging pulley mechanism and the second weight-engaging pulley mechanism are used for strength training. Since the weight arrangement of the apparatus is movable along the first guide channel and the second guide channel, the user can complete a wide variety of strength training workouts. The apparatus also contains an incline-adjustment mechanism, which orients the treadmill belt track to simulate an incline or a decline. A belt direction-reversing mechanism of the apparatus helps change the direction a belt that is layered along the treadmill belt track.

Nonpowered treadmill

Provided is a nonpowered treadmill driven by a user's foot motion. The nonpowered treadmill includes a track part, a rotation unit rotatably supporting the track part, a detector configured to detect a rotation speed of the track part, and a resistance controller configured to control a rotation resistance of the track part in response to the rotation speed detected by the detector.

Omnidirectional treadmill

Disclosed is an omnidirectional treadmill which has several connected belt units with supporting frames and endless belts which are moved revolving in the first spatial direction. In the second spatial direction, the endless belts of the belt units are moved. The endless belts are driven in the second spatial direction preferably by gear wheels mounted on rolls and by a toothed shaft. The movement of all endless belts is synchronized by coupling with special tooth form crown gears arranged between the belt units.

Motorized treadmill with motor braking mechanism and methods of operating same

A treadmill includes a frame, a front shaft assembly coupled to the frame, a rear shaft assembly coupled to the frame and spaced apart from the front shaft assembly, a running belt disposed about the front and rear shaft assemblies, and a motor coupled to the running belt. In a first operating mode of the motor, the force of rotation of the running belt is provided by a user of the treadmill. In a second operating mode of the motor, the force of rotation of the running belt is provided by the motor.

Passive-type treadmill

A passive-type treadmill is disclosed which includes a closed-loop belt rolling around two spaced apart rollers for providing a running platform, a first and a second handrail parallel to each other and extended upward angling to a surface of the closed-loop belt at larger than 45 degrees, and a towel rack having at least a first and a second clip for stretching a towel between the first and the second handrail.

EXERCISE TREADMILL

A treadmill has a front or rear set of pulleys and a looped running belt. The pulleys rotate with the movement of the belt, e.g., when a user walks, jogs, or runs on the treadmill. The pulleys are mounted on a rotating roller tube so that the roller tube rotates with the pulleys. The roller tube is mounted on a stationary shaft using bearings on each side and a one-way device that allows the pulleys to rotate in one direction. The rotation direction corresponds to the movement of the top of the belt from the front to the rear of the treadmill. The one-way device prevents the pulleys from rotating in the opposite direction, preventing the top of the belt from moving from the rear of the treadmill to the front. The one-way device may be a sprag clutch. The treadmill may be a motor-less, curved treadmill.

A treadmill includes a base frame and an one-way damping device. The one-way damping device includes a rotatable braking plate, an one-way clutch, and a resistance unit. The resistance unit is fixedly mounted to the base frame and abuts against the braking plate. The one-way clutch is sleeved on one of two rotating shafts of the base frame, is not engaged with the braking plate when the rotating shafts are rotated in a first rotational direction, and is engaged with the braking plate when the rotating shafts are rotated in a second rotational direction, which in turn drives the braking plate to co-rotate against a frictional force between the braking plate and the resistance unit.
