Controls for an exercise device
An exercise machine includes a frame, a movable element that is movable in the performance of an exercise where the movable element has at least one selectively adjustable operating parameter that selectively alters a difficulty of the exercise, and a recall mechanism connected to the frame. The exercise machine also includes a processor and memory where the memory has programmed instructions executable by the processor to apply a first difficulty setting of the selectively adjustable operating parameter to the movable element and reapply the first difficulty setting to the movable element based on activation of the recall mechanism.
Motorized treadmill with motor braking mechanism and methods of operating same
A treadmill includes a running belt defining a non-planar running surface, and a motor operatively coupled to the running belt. The treadmill is operable in plurality of operating modes to control a user experience.
MOTOR-LESS CURVED TREADMILL
A motor-less curved treadmill with a base having a physical exercise surface configured for rotating around a first roller and a second roller, converting the potential energy of the user on the physical exercise surface into rotational kinetic energy. A first coupling device allows the first pulley and the first roller to revolve if the rotational speed of the first roller is equal to or greater than the rotational speed of the first pulley, and prevents the first pulley and the first roller from rotating if the rotational speed of the first roller is less the rotation speed of the first pulley.
Treadmill with a track-type walking belt
A treadmill includes a frame having two sides each provided with two sprockets, two slide rails mounted on the two sides of the frame, two chains engaging with the two sprockets at the two sides of the frame respectively and corresponding to the two slide rails respectively, a plurality of elongate board mounted between the two chains, and a plurality of rollers mounted on each of the two chains. Each of the elongate board has two ends each provided with a connecting member connected with one of the two chains. The rollers on each of the two chains rest on one of the two slide rails. Thus, when the two chains are rotated, the rollers on each of the two chains slide on one of the two slide rails.
TREADMILL
Provided is a treadmill. The treadmill includes a first frame and a second frame, a front roller and a rear roller respectively provided in the first frame and the second frame and a plurality of slats extending perpendicularly to a direction in which the first frame and the second frame are located. The slats are located between the first frame and the second frame and installed movably with respect to the first frame and the second frame. Some of the plurality of slats include a base portion providing a first surface and a strength reinforcing portion protruding from the base portion. The strength reinforcing portion includes a first reinforcing portion protruding from the base portion and a second reinforcing portion extending in a direction intersecting a protrusion direction of the first reinforcing portion, the second reinforcing portion provides a second surface.
Treadmill which can be driven in both directions
The present invention provides a treadmill for allowing an exerciser to perform walking or running exercise on an endless belt. The treadmill is selected to be operated in a forward movement mode or in a reverse movement mode. In the reverse movement mode, a control unit of the treadmill controls a driving device to drive a top surface of the endless belt to slide forward for allowing the exerciser to simulate backward walking. When a detecting device detects that the exerciser enters a warning area in front of a normal range of movement, a reaction mechanism would be triggered to control the driving device to slow down or stop the endless belt. In the forward movement mode, the control unit controls the driving device to drive the top surface of the endless belt to slide backward and to disable the reaction mechanism.
Leg-powered treadmill
A motor-less leg-powered curved treadmill produced that allows people to walk, jog, run, and sprint without making any adjustments to the treadmill other than shifting the user's center of gravity forward and backwards. A closed loop treadmill belt running between front and rear pulley rollers is formed with a low friction running surface of transverse aluminum, wooden, plastic, rubber or carbon fiber slats attached to each other in a resilient fashion. Since an essential feature of treadmill is the concave shape of the running surface of belt in its respective upper portion, the treadmill configurations insure that this shape is maintained during actual use. These configurations prevent the concave upper running surface portion from being pulled taut into a flat shape between the front and rear pulley rollers.
Stable treadmill slat
A motor-less leg-powered curved treadmill produced that allows people to walk, jog, run, and sprint without making any adjustments to the treadmill other than shifting the user's center of gravity forward and backwards. A closed loop treadmill belt running between front and rear pulley rollers is formed with a low friction running surface of transverse aluminum, wooden, plastic, rubber or carbon fiber slats attached to each other in a resilient fashion. An essential feature of treadmill is the concave shape of the upper portion of the belt running surface, the treadmill configurations ensure that this shape is maintained during actual use. These configurations prevent the concave upper running surface portion from being pulled taut into a flat shape between the front and rear pulley rollers. The slats of the treadmill each have an end view crossectional I-beam shape, for strength and stability of the slat positioned upon the treadmill belt.
Curved treadmill
A curved treadmill with a base having a physical exercise surface configured for rotating around a first roller and a second roller, converting the potential energy of the user on the physical exercise surface into rotational kinetic energy. A first coupling device operatively connects a first pulley to the first roller. The first coupling device allows the first pulley and the first roller to revolve if the rotational speed of the first roller is equal to or greater than the rotational speed of the first pulley, and prevents the first pulley and the first roller from rotating if the rotational speed of the first roller is less than the rotation speed of the first pulley.
TREADMILL FOR BACKWARD WALKING
A treadmill for backward walking is disclosed. The treadmill may include a static frame and dynamic platform pivotally mounted to the static frame. A C-shaped support handle includes side portions that may be grasped or otherwise used by a user to stabilize their position, and a cross member against which the user may lean, e.g. with the user's hips or back. A user may press against a treadmill belt with the user's feet, against resistance from a brake, to move the treadmill belt away from the user's body.
