A caterpillar treadmill includes a non-rotational axle, a roller, a driver wheel, a follower wheel, two caterpillars, and tread slats. The roller is rotationally supported on the non-rotational axle. The driver wheel includes teeth on an external face, and is connected to the roller so that the driver wheel is rotatable together with the roller. The follower wheel includes teeth on an external face, and is connected to the roller so that the follower wheel is rotatable together with the roller. The first caterpillar is wound on the driver wheel and includes, on an internal face, racks engaged with the teeth of the driver wheel. The second caterpillar is wound on the follower wheel and includes, on an internal face, racks engaged with the teeth of the follower wheel. The tread slats are attached to an external face of the caterpillars.

Omnidirectional treadmill apparatus

An omnidirectional treadmill apparatus. The omnidirectional treadmill apparatus includes: a plurality of segments which are continuously arranged along the direction of a first axis, each of which having a belt part; a first rotation unit for rotating the plurality of segments along the direction of the first axis; and a second rotation unit for rotating the belt part of each segment in the direction of a second axis which is perpendicular to the first axis, wherein the belt part has a toothed surface which is tooth-engaged with the second rotation unit.

CUSHIONING MECHANISM FOR A TREADMILL
20200094105 · 2020-03-26 ·

A cushioning system for an exercise device such as a treadmill, and particularly a slat treadmill, that utilizes a springboard effect in mounting the tread deck to provide cushioning to the running surface.

TREADMILL WITH ELECTROMECHANICAL BRAKE

A treadmill includes a treadmill frame having a front end and a rear end opposite the front end; a front running belt pulley coupled to the treadmill frame at or near the front end; a rear running belt pulley coupled to the treadmill frame at or near the rear end; a running belt disposed about the front and rear running belt pulleys, the running belt adapted for rotation about the front and rear running belt pulleys and defining a non-planar running surface; and a brake coupled to the running belt and adapted to selectively restrict the speed of rotation of the running belt depending upon an established limit for the speed of the running belt.

High-speed skatemill with a movable skatemill belt
11878226 · 2024-01-23 · ·

A high-speed skatemill with a movable skatemill belt that includes a movable skatemill belt mounted on the rotating drums and where the working area of the movable skatemill belt is supported by stationary rigid sliding pads with integrated distribution channels for distributing a compressed gas or gas mixtures into the injection openings or slits. The compressed gas or the compressed gas mixture optionally enriched with an anti-friction medium in the form of a vapor or aerosol or dispersion containing solid dust particles or solid microparticles is injected through the inlet openings. By means of the anti-friction applicator, the anti-friction medium is applied to the movable skatemill belt, which then transports the medium to the points of contact with the fixed rigid sliding pads. Stationary solid sliding pads can be cooled down by liquid and/or gaseous cooling medium circulating by default in the hollow support beams of the stationary solid sliding pads.

An apparatus and method for physical therapy includes a base structure, a roller table positioned on the base structure including a plurality of free motion rollers, at least one motor and/or and at least one air compressor connected to the base structure, a plurality of powered rollers or a contact plate located within the base structure being in contact with the plurality of free motion rollers, at least one pneumatic block with a pneumatic piston connected to the at least one air compressor and being configured to raise and lower the power rollers and/or the contact plate, a load cell in communication with the apparatus being configured to measure and record a patient's response to the transition of the roller table and/or the contact plate, and a programmable logic controller.

Manually powered treadmill with variable braking resistance

A manually powered treadmill includes a frame; a plurality of bearings coupled to the frame; a running belt at least partially supported by the plurality of bearings and adapted for rotational movement relative to the frame, the running belt having a running surface, at least a portion of which is curved; a braking system configured to selectively resist the rotational movement of the running belt; and a safety device coupled to the frame, wherein the safety device is structured to substantially prevent rotation of the running belt in a first direction and substantially permit rotation of the running belt in a second direction, opposite the first direction.

Manual treadmill and methods of operating the same

A manually operated treadmill is provided that includes a frame having a front end and a rear end positioned opposite the front end; a front shaft rotatably coupled to the frame proximate the front end; a rear shaft rotatably coupled to the frame proximate the rear end; a plurality of bearings coupled to the frame; a running belt supported by the plurality of bearings, wherein the running belt includes a curved running surface; and a safety device coupled to at least one of the front shaft and the rear shaft, wherein the safety device is structured to substantially prevent rotation of at least one of the front shaft and the rear shaft in a first rotational direction while permitting rotation of the at least one of the front shaft and the rear shaft in a second rotational direction opposite the first rotational direction.

Treadmill with removable supports

A treadmill includes a platform where the platform includes a first side panel and a second side panel spaced apart at a distance from the first side panel, and a gap defined between the first side panel and the second side panel. The treadmill also includes a running deck contained within the platform and exposed within the gap, a first pulley connected to the running deck, a second pulley connected to the running deck opposite the first pulley, a tread belt surrounding the first pulley and the second pulley, a first post removably connected to the platform, a second post removably connected to the platform, and a first rail transversely connected to the first post and the second post.
